  1. I don't agree with the Death Penalty system, but I do understand why some people are are all for it; especially, those who have lost loved ones. I think the U.S. spends way more money on the death penalty than keeping people alive (if I got my facts right, I think it's right, though). I would much prefer the people to have life sentences in prisons rather than accidentally killing someone who didn't deserve it.
  2. Honestly, my favorite types of villains are the tragic types, so I was pressed into picking Lyon, Sephiran, or Arvis, but I went ahead with Arvis because... of what he did in Part 1 of FE4. >:/
  3. Let's say you're used to playing Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, and you see the option to escape, and you're so happy because you're surrounded by enemies and you can't possibly defeat all their numbers, so you go ahead and you "select" the tile and press "escape" and the whole army goes along with you... Now picture having the same situation for Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, and your lord is the closest one to the tile, so you use it and end the chapter. Then, the next chapter, you find out that because your lord was the only one to move up, they're the only ones that are available in it (and for the rest of the game until you recruit more people) therefore questioning why you were such a coward and eager to leave the chapter, and didn't you just fight and let your units escape before you...?! Also, picture having enemies taking your characters (they look like 'rescues' from FE6,7,8), and when you defeat those enemies, they drop your unit, only for you to realize they also took their weapons leaving your unit unable to fight *Cries* Thracia 776 was so hard, but fun!
  4. Yeah, I agree. I don't personally like Kozaki's designs, but they're practically the face of future Fire Emblem. He seems to be actively tweeting about Fire Emblem, and doesn't seem to show any signs of stopping from there. However, I won't cast aside Hidari and the use of another artist just because it's Switch. I don't know about anyone else, but I think just the change of console that isn't "handheld" might mean something, but that's me being hopeful. Because I love Wada's design, and they keep reintroducing that artist in Cipher and Heroes, I wish for Wada, but :( I don't think it'll happen.
  5. I don't think mobile is a bad thing, especially when it's going to have newer fans be exposed to older Fire Emblem characters. I actually think that Nintendo is testing the foreign fan base with both the mobile version and the release of the FE2 remake. If done just right, it will especially eliminate some impressions they seemed to have given to newer fans such as keeping a customized character and having pretty vague/superficial conversations in supports. In my opinion, keeping a customized avatar wouldn't have been so bad if it didn't automatically mean "pandering," but apparently Nintendo has shown that it can't keep characters objectified when their main character wants to romance someone. Furthermore, I lived in Korea and have visited Japan a few times, and know that mobile games are an immense hit over there, but I don't think they'll transfer the series over to mobile until maybe years and years later when the west has caught up to its popularity. Plus, I think from an interview, Nintendo always struggled but desired to keep Fire Emblem on a mother console, so I don't think they'll think of transferring the series to mobile anytime soon...Unless Japan suddenly goes: No way, no more mother consoles, but hand-held, just mobile...then...oh.
