I'm ready to start my NG+ route and want to do something different for Byleth. The norm seems to be a sword-related class, and that's what I went with during my initial playthrough. I used Thief, Hero, then Enlightened One. Are there any other good classes I should go for that utilize Byleth's strengths but also mixes it up a bit?

So I choose to play on normal to have the free grinding maps (i got the game early), but for now it seemed pretty useless ? If you just go to the free battle selection you can't do anything else (no exploration, no talking to students, etc). It's only that you can do the map as many times as you want instead of once. But it's impossible to go back to exploring after the free battle.
I found the game quite hard at first ? Your units start out a little underleveled and outnumbered, but after juuust a little bit of grinding they kinda feel overpowered now...
Is there a choice between casual or classic mode in addition to Normal or Hard?
-
I would also like to know. I usually play Fire Emblem on Normal, but I've played so many in the series and Echoes was quite easy on Normal. I beat Radiant Dawn on Normal which is essentially Hard. I just want to figure what's best for me. Or even if I should go from Normal -> Hard for NG+.

Heres the screen where Director says it
So that makes five difficulties. Still, it doesn't answer my initial question if anyone knows it: do you need to play Hard to unlock the upper difficulties?

Do you mean lunatic? The new Famitsu Scans show an Interview, where one of the director says day 1/post launch patch will add lunatic
Wasn't aware there was lunatic. I know that from those who've played it that you start out with a Normal and Hard difficulty, but that there are also two other options available either after you beat the game on any difficulty or on Hard.
-
Can I beat the game on Normal and unlock the difficulty after Hard, or do you have to beat the game on Hard in order to do so? Do we even know yet?

To my knowledge, there is no cap to how many you can recruit, with the only limits being Hubert, Dedue, and Hilda (though they may still be recruitable depending on story choices.) And just how well you're able to boost your stats/supports to recruit them.
Ah, those three would make sense. Thanks for the reply!

I kind of like it this way. Knowing me, I'd relentlessly grind for it but I think I plan on doing Hard.
-
Not sure if we know yet, but is there a limit to how many students we can recruit from the opposing houses? I know it would kind of defeat the purpose of the time jump, maybe, but who knows.
-
Do we know yet if we should wait until level 20 to promote our studnets in Three Houses? Or is it better to do so right away once they are able?

Be aware that there are possible spoilers:
I was on Reddit and saw someone mention that there are four different paths according to a leak, and that you'd have to side with Edelgard to get the final path. I don't know how much I like this, but I also haven't seen any confirmation with a cursory google search. Is this the case or have I been bamboozled?

Live chat might work, and you should call your local Best Buy if it doesn't. I'm just speaking from past experience with the Fates Limited Edition. I rushed home to watch the direct it was in, found out about the limited edition, pre-ordered, and then messed up on the delivery. That wasn't fun to fix. Back then they didn't have live chat so I don't know if that would work, but try it first.
Oof that doesn't sound good. I know that the Fate's pre-orders was not fun. I might just be better off leaving it as is then.

The only way too do that is too call them, and then wait 30 mins for them to give you the run around and change it. Alternatively you can just preorder it again, and then cancel your old preorder once that one goes through.
Eh I probably won't be able to pre-order it again unless it comes up. Would I call my local Best Buy or the support number? Also, isn't there a live chat feature for support as well? I could be wrong. Maybe that'll work?
-
Hey so I got it on Best Buy, but it's pickup at store. I'm not sure for how long I'll be where I am, and so I'd rather have it changed to shipping at an address. Is anyone who pre-ordered it able to change it to ship to a specified address if you got pickup at store? Perhaps in my haste the pre-order I neglected to choose an option, but it says you can change it. Right now though, it doesn't look like I'm able. Not the end of the world, I might be getting a new job soon and moving but my parents still live where I pre-ordered it.

I do although I haven't unlocked HHM yet (which I am ashamed to admit, don't look at me!) it has 2 save slots used one in chapter 27 Cog of destiny of EHM and another in chapter 30 VoD of EHM. I have a few supports unlocked but it's not too much. And as for the savefiles working, I reccomend you copy your clean FE7 Rom and move it into a new folder where you use the new .SA files and hopefully it should work.
Of course I need to know what kind of emulator you're usingI'm using Visual Boy Advance. Thanks! :)
(going to bed, I'll check in tomorrow. I really appreciate it!)

Hi guys, I need some help.
I'm going to do some writing on FE7 and I'd like to get some screenshots. However, I don't have a save on my visual boy advance ROM for FE7 (it's been a while since I've used it) and I was wondering if someone has a save file that is either far into the game, has completed it, or both.
Also, if anyone could tell me how exactly to get a saved file to work once you give me one, I would really appreciate it! :)

What keyboard layout are you using? I used a qwerty keyboard. I did X=s, Y=a, A=x, Z=c, L=D, R=c D-pad= arrow keys, start = enter, and i don't remember what I maped select to (its functionality of calling up the main menu is duplicated by pressing A on any empty square, so I never used it). Snes9x also maps emulator functions to keyboard keys (use the "hotkeys" menu for this. I maped space to fast forward. I highly recomend doing that, because fe4 can be slow sometimes, especialy in the arena.) Also make sure that you don't map any emulator hotkeys to the same key as an actual button. All this being said, literally the only time in this game that input prompness matters is quiting/changing weapons in the arena. Pick any layout you want that you can remember.
Thanks, I'll give it a go. My layout is also qwerty.

Hey guys, I'm going to play Genealogy of the Holy War with my keyboard. Is there a particularly effective or easy set of keybindings I can see for my keyboard to play the game with?

Turn up the internal resolution.
I'll give that a try, thanks.
EDIT: Didn't help :(

I'm running Dolphin 4.0 and I just got Radiant Dawn. It runs smoothly, but my main problem is that it's kind of ugly. What I mean is that the emulator runs it to be a little pixelly, mainly in conversation scenes like here: http://imgur.com/IqnCRoz
As you can see, the hair in particular is pixelly. In the game when I'm actually fighting, icons and unit portraits are also quite pixelly too (seen here http://imgur.com/mrOESil). How can I make this game look better? If it helps, my specs are:
- Nvidia GTX 960M
- Intel Core i5 6th Gen 6300HQ (2.30 GHz)
- 16 GB memory
- 128 GB SDD
- 1TB HDD

... and holy shit, Hector was my favorite FE7 character. So practically right at the start, having him die? That really sucks, especially how anticlimactic it was.
Makes me wonder if they would have handled it differently if FE6 came out after FE7.

I have a friend studying abroad in Japan and they said they'd look out for some Cipher cards. They don't know what store they'd be at and neither do I. Would any of you happen to know?
Best path to do after Blue Lions?

I'm taking suggestions for the next path I should take. I was leaning towards the Black Eagles' Edelgard path so I can see both sides of the story, since it'd be interesting to see Edelgard's reasoning behind things. However, the Golden Deer seem to have some cool things too, without going into spoilers. Thoughts?
