I'd go with Julius too, for....obvious reasons. Although if we included all of the major bosses I'd want Lyon or Arvis first before any of the final ones

Is it possible to check a merged units IV's? I have a +10 Eliwood that I've been slowly building over a few months in my spare time and I have no idea what his nature is at this point. I figured if I just got him to level 30 it would be as if he was level 40 but apparently the merged stat bonuses don't just give you the level up stats earlier, because it didn't match up. I laughed way to hard it this :P

@Omnioni Wow that's actually a pretty good start. Definitely check iv's, for example your Nino is +res -spd, which is honestly pretty bad, but you can get another pretty easily and Julia is almost as good. I never even used Nino even though I have one with the ideal nature cause I got Julia early, and she's been my main unit ever since. Reinhardt is good unless he's -atk, brave Ike will help a lot, if you have a +spd or +atk Tharja that would be amazing, and yeah ditch Peri as soon as you can find someone to replace her. You've got a real solid start setup, get one of the free Olivia's from the starter support battles and you have a dancer to go with it. Don't be afraid to ask questions, this community is really helpful. Best of luck :)

Fair enough. I actually like Roy though, he was my main red until the Ike banner came along. I feel like he's really underrated Edit: Third Elincia didn't take nearly as long, and +Atk -Def!

Is a +hp -spd Elincia usable, or should I try for a better one?

Are any of the new Dauntless Crimeans worth pulling for? I really like Elincia's art and I'd like to get Nephenee as well, but they aren't some of my favorites so I'm not sure if I should go for it or not.....

Can someone please explain how merging works because apparently I don't get it. I just merged 5 4* Seliphs together and it worked fine, then I merged a 4* and a 5* Kagero into another 4* Kagero and it worked. But then when I tried to merge two 4* Faes into a 5* Fae and a 3*+1 Nino into my 4*+1 Nino neither registered as + whatever, they stayed the exact same. Why is that?

Oh yeah I'm a super laid back player, I just like using my favorites. I have a +3 Kagero that I haven't built yet, and I could have a +6 Seliph and a +4 Roy, but it's just so much work. I just finished leveling BH!Lyn (she's amazing) so now gotta decide who the sacrifices shall be :)

I don't really like Nino, I'd rather use characters I like than ones I don't, and Julia's one of my favorites. Also I don't think anyone I usually use consistently doubles, my main trio is Julia, Effie, and Azura lol, so I've adapted

I don't have one with +res :/ But yeah I use her against literally everything, my team is set up to where I try to sweep with her first, and only when I can't do I use others

Yeah that's why I figured +atk. One day I'll actually train up my +spd -def Nino that I've had since the first month :/

Important question, what do y'all think the best nature for Julia is? I use her mainly as a nuker, sometimes as a bater for mages. I have a +atk -res fully trained up (my first), a +spd -hp at lv20, and then a +atk -hp at lv33. I was thinking of merging the other two into the last one so that she's tankier against mages, but i'd love to hear some other opinions

Same, if Ike loses I'm gonna be pissed. Although I have yet to win a guantlet.........so that's not looking to great for Ike :( But I was Hector originally so maybe the curse won't get to him.....

RIP I feel like people don't understand that having ally units that are who you are supporting doesn't give the bonus like it does if you yourself use that unit. Hopefully it won't make a difference, because Ike is ahead by a lot, but it's something I noticed in the other gauntlets too and it can cost a lot of points in the long run.
