  1. Still have mixed feelings about the support system as a whole, since it makes it a bit more difficult to just freely swap units around as strategy dictates, but the stat gains are nice all the same. Anyways my more notable combos for that extra bit of power: Summoner x Brave Lyn: You'd think with the benefits of cavalry (stronger buffs, movement, etc) the game's first Cav Archer wouldn't be that strong physically, but nope. High damage, great flexibility, strong resist against mages and the ability to attack melee units without being countered, she's just too powerful not to use. Brave Lyn x Nino: It was a tough choice between committing to horse emblem or general use, in the end went with the 2 nukes that could cover eachother for their use in Tempest Trials, and general challenges. Xander x Reinhardt: Horse Emblem Claire x S! Camilla: Flier Emblem Roy x M. Robin: The 2 cover for each other quite well. Roy has Seal Resist, and Robin has spur defense. Combined they make a powerful defensive combo, for when brute force alone isn't enough. The only downside is I'm pretty sure Tharja has permanently cursed my Summoning RNG because of this pairing. Over 5%, out of orbs, I just want to +1 my Brave Lyn before it's too late!..
  2. Skimming through this makes me really wish the game had a support system for units fighting side by side, Definitely not everyone with everyone, would be an absurd amount of work, but if each character had a few others they could interact with, it'd be fun to see their personalities interact, assuming the writers did a good job. For example, I'd love to see Sharena interact with Selkie, or Walhart with Zephiel could make for some entertaining snippets. I didn't pick these 2 specifically in hopes they get added to heroes or anything (hint hint, nudge nudge, come on IS).
  3. Found this Peri a while back in an older gauntlet, ended up saving it so I could try the build myself if I ever found any Peri's. Even though she's bottom tier in most peoples books, this build actually seemed pretty strong in a full cav team. That said with the advent of Camus, She's even lower on my list of units to 5*, maybe one day though.
  4. Unless I misunderstood, you're not allowed to use dupes at all. Even if it technically is a different unit.
  5. Went back and made a video of my run for fun. Not sure if it'd be of much help for anyone who hasn't done it/is struggling, but maybe seeing the maps in action could help. Also with map 3, I actually lost the first time with this strategy because I forgot Claire had Spur Speed and not goad, so she was a tile away and Bunilla was 2 shotted by the archer, it was a mix of funny and depressing, rip 20 stamina. Also as a side note, I'm curious how MKV will tackle this one since he can only use Donnel once (He's probably had nightmares about this scenario).
  6. For the first round, it uses your currently selected team, for every round after that you make the team similar to losing in TT. You can even check the map and plan accordingly. Also if you don't succeed the first time, it remembers the teams you used for the rounds after 1.
  7. I rather enjoyed the squad assault map, wish there was second one, finally gives a reason to all those 40s I've been training up, and left sitting on the bench. Use a tanky ranged unit to bait the archer to the left, then use a lancebreaker/emerald green unit for the lance cav, and then a powerful blue unit that can deal with the sword cav and Roy. Also keep in mind the aura skills like goad and spur stack. I used those buffs to avoid being doubled by units with 10+ speed over my own, which can make all the difference.
  8. No Azama or Wrys, this thing is rigged!.. Well with no one I care to support, the next question is who is the least popular, gotta take advantage of that x3 boost. I'm thinking Clarine and Maria are going to be the the unpopular candidates? Don't have a Maria though, so I guess I'm going with Clarine.
  9. 43k.. So close and yet so far. How do you people with over 100k do it, this is hell!
  10. Cleared Infernal on the first try (To be fair, lunatic took 2 as I ironed out the strategy).. This was hands down the easiest hero battle to date for me, just because I happened to have the perfect units for it. Robin(M) took out the archer and fire mage with R Tome Breaker equipped. Nino took out the blue horse cav, and along with Olivia's dancing, weakened a few legions. Then on the enemies phase, Roy and Olivia finished off the last 2 legions with the power of Triangle Adept, GG.
  11. I kinda burnt myself out hard after a few days, ended up not playing it for the past few. Currently sitting at around 27k, I'll definitely get to 30k, but I'm not sure about the 50k, maybe.. Anyways, to entertain myself a bit through the monotony, I decided to make a video of one my runs. I'm by no means a great player, so feel free to berate away.. Now to actually hit 30k...
  12. I'd maybe whale for Selkie.. I'm not proud of it either..
  13. If Veronica is the only unit giving you trouble, you can trap her in the bottom left. Just have a blue unit in range of her attack to kite her into that little rubble corner, then proceed to move 1 unit next to her to permanently trap her. You can even use a ranged unit to trap her at the start if there are still other enemy units alive, and when it's safe to tag out any melee unit will be able to safely kill her from there.
  14. All those skills and he still can't find a combination that makes Alfonse work!..
  15. Tier 16, only really bother to get a run above 4k, then stop, probably going to stop getting higher in ranks with my laziness soon.
