  1. Ah, well, Tempest Trial units tend to have inflated stats, which throws all these calcs out the window. Although, for a red unit with Triangle Adept to do 4x12 damage to a blue unit with 36 def, they would need 60 attack, which is pretty ridiculous even for the inflated stats of Tempest. Also are you sure it was an Eldigan? With a Brave Sword and Triangle Adept? I'm fairly certain Tempest units don't replace units' vanilla weapons... EDIT: Actually Lunatic Veronica has 57 attack, so 60 isn't that outlandish. But I'm still doubting the T-Adept BS Eldigan part...
  2. Bruh how do you have so many crests that that's even a concern? .__. I have like 3, and I'm constantly starved for crests.
  3. If you go to Allies -> Advanced Growth -> Inherit Skill, you can put skills that another unit has onto whomever you want (but you lose that unit). To get Triangle Adept on Robin, you would Inherit the skill from someone who already has Triangle Adept. Off the top of my head, Roy, Selena, Cordelia, and Sanaki have that skill naturally. However, Roy's the only one that has Triangle Adept 3 as a 4*. You'd only be able to get Triangle Adept 2 from the rest unless they're at 5* (but having just 2 is fine).
  4. Setsuna is barely in the top 5 for archers, certainly not near the top 3. For anyone who's bothered with damage calculations, Setsuna's optimized quad build doesn't have anywhere near the matchup spread of LD Brave Bow Takumi, Jeorge, or Klein, much less Cordelia. 0x4 damage isn't scary.
  5. Welp, got my deathless streak really easily with my horse team, but I also have a pretty middling score because I get way fewer points per run with my horse team than my usual team. They have fewer merges and also don't have a lot of level 3 skills (Camus still has Fury 2, Xander has QR 2, Reinhardt has Lancebreaker 2, and Cecilia has LD 2 and Gronnblade (not +)) I might just end up keeping Camus in as a bonus unit and switching the other 3 horses out for my usual Arena team for higher points. I'm never going to make it back into Tier 20 otherwise. At least I already have defense wins though?
  6. Since I don't know what boon/bane your units I have, I'm going to assume they're neutral for these builds. Also, since I have no idea what fodder you have, I'm simply going to list the ideal builds (or what I think the ideal builds are) without taking inheritance fodder into account. Marth Raven Robin Klein *The reason I don't list Assists or C skills are because those are less dependent on the individual unit and more on preference. 90% of the time, you want to put a movement-based assist skill on your unit (Reposition, Draw Back, etc). However, all of them are useful, so which ones you go with largely depends on your own personal preference. As a general rule: Reposition is good overall, Draw Back is better for ranged backline units, Swap is better for bulky frontline units, and Pivot is mostly useful on armored units to help them move around. The primary exception is if you are running a quad Brave Desperation build on a unit, in which case Ardent Sacrifice or Reciprocal Aid are recommended to bring the unit down into the Desperation HP range without entering combat, like with Raven. C-skills are unique because, unlike A and B skills, they're more dependent on your team than on the individual unit. What's generally recommended is to look at what buffs your team needs, and then give your unit a Hone/Fortify/Spur team aura to support the team. As a general rule, you want to give the skills to the ones who need the buff least. So in your case, Raven and Klein really want an Attack boost, so you would give Hone Atk to someone else besides those two (either Robin or Marth) to make sure those two get the boost.
  7. Eirika is a great unit but for that team specifically. She's a fantastic support unit that pairs well with the support-reliant blade tome nukes (like Nino and Tharja), but she isn't a good enough fighter to be the team's standalone red unit unless your team can handle all greens (and in your case dragons too since you'd be giving up Falchion) without another red. You could always go double red, but I wouldn't recommend it in this blue-heavy meta. Marth and Ike are both great and fulfill different roles, so they can both work. However, I personally wouldn't recommend the replacement because dragons run all over your team without Marth there to stop them. The only reason I was able to safely run Ike/Ryoma is because I had a Julia to take care of dragons for me, but Raven can't do that very well.
  8. Just run Lunatic without losing any teams. That nets you 705 points per run, which is is 3525 points per full bar of stamina. That means you can get over 10k points per day without spending any stamina potions. I got to 100k a few days ago and have yet to spend a single potion. I'm just using Tempest to grind HM now.
  9. You seem pretty set tbh. Xander is free and can replace Eldigan. Ursula is free and can replace Reinhardt. Camus, Cecilia, Ursula, and Xander make for a solid cavalry core. The main hurdle rn (besides the time and resources to promote and level everyone) is getting enough Hone/Fortify fodder to go around. Gunter and Jagen are fairly common pulls though, so hopefully it won't take too long. (Also, I don't claim to be an expert on this game, but if you wanted to know how I distributed my cavalry buffs: I gave Hone Cavalry to Xander and Cecilia and Fortify Cavalry to Reinhardt and Camus) (my team is pretty much identical to what yours could look like except I'm using Reinhardt instead of Ursula) (Blárblade Ursula works perfectly fine over Reinhardt as your blue horse mage unit though) EDIT: @Thor Odinson Huh. I would have never expected someone else out there to have the same name. That's wild.
  10. I'd recommend replacing Ephraim with Robin because you currently don't have a source of magic damage. Otherwise looks fine to me.
  11. Nah, it's more cancerous than that. My Arena team this season is Camus, Cecilia, Reinhardt, and Xander
  12. It helps alleviate some of the tedium if you do something else at the same time. I've just been doing Tempest runs while watching videos and such, which makes it a lot more bearable. Though I won't deny that I'm getting burned out. I've already hit 100k though and don't expect to rank in the top 1k, so at this point I can stop at any time. I'm just continuing to run Tempest to grind HM at this point since it's so damned efficient.
  13. Welp, back to Tier 19 I go! Not that it's surprising or anything since I didn't even bother to get a deathless run this week. I'm probably just going to spend the rest of my days bouncing back and forth between Tiers 19 and 20 :'D
  14. Because it leaves her A-slot open. Ruby Sword + Fury > Silver Sword + Triangle Adept
  15. 705 points per run translates a little to over 10k per day assuming no stamina potion use or stamina overfill. As long as you can pretty consistently get deathless runs on Lunatic, it doesn't take too long. I finished getting up to 100k a little while ago, so I'm just farming HM now. I have three full rows of max HM now :DDD
  16. I mean I can help with calculations and general theorycrafting if necessary, but to be quite honest, I don't really like the idea of a tier list in general. There are too many different contexts and scenarios to consider for each character (many of which @Ice Dragon, @MrSmokestack, and others have brought up already) to make a fully accurate tier list, and I also fundamentally don't like the idea of a tier list because it discourages experimentation and just makes more people aim for "high tier" characters and ignore lower tiered ones. Not to mention this game is entirely PVE (even Arena, since you're fighting the AI and not actual players), and you can beat just about any AI-controlled team with just about any unit. You don't need a Lucina with full SI to take down Hector when Laslow or Stahl can do it just fine even if they aren't "high tier". Also, tier lists by nature focus on how a unit performs as an individual, but Heroes is a team-based game. It doesn't matter that Sophia is shit at taking out anything but greens and colorless (if you're running Raven) because that's all she ever needs to take out. You have 3 other slots dedicated to filling in the gaps. Tier lists like these put too much emphasis on independent units that can take out as many different units on their own as possible, but that kind of mindset is inherently counterintuitive to the nature of the game. tldr - Tier lists don't work well with Heroes because they're inherently biased towards a unit's individual merit, which matters much less in a team-based game. Additionally, even a list based on individual merit has too many factors to consider to be truly accurate.
  17. Nope. The weapon triangle advantage modifier will never go above 1.4 (and the WTD modifier will never be below 0.6) Because of that, T-Adept/gem weapons also don't stack with other weapons. If you have a Ruby Sword, and the enemy has an Emerald Axe, you don't do any more damage than you would if they had a normal axe.
  18. I'm personally a fan of Felicia's dubbed VA; it's actually part of what made me like her as a character. To me, the VA did a great job capturing how lovably clumsy she was without making her too much of a moeblob. Now Effie's dubbed VA on the other hand...I think the VA herself did fine with what she voiced, but what she voiced is nothing like the JP Effie's character. I don't think it's the VA's fault since I heard she was given very little instruction on what Effie the character was like and just went with the localization team's ridiculous caricature, but it makes me really sad since the dubbed voice just doesn't fit Effie at all, especially if you know what she's like in the original version.
  19. Catria and Palla should still be able to bait fine, especially if they have a Hone Fliers buff on. Hinoka and Camilla are both units that shouldn't be baiting regardless of their nature though (only exception is Raven Camilla, but since you're running Flier Emblem I'm going to assume you're running Blade Camilla instead).
  20. It's the highest tier. If the feather rewards were any less, there wouldn't be much motivation for people to even try for it. I, for one, am just happy that this is a game where you can be completely F2P and still make it into the highest competitive tier and get the best rewards instead of this being a P2W game like some other gachas.
  21. It's the best way to grind SP by far (and HM too). Grinding SP in Training Tower nets you 12 SP for 9 stamina, assuming the trainee got all the kills. That's 1.33 SP per stamina. One run of Tempest, on the other hand, nets you an average of 84 SP per 20 stamina (assuming 4 units per map, which is obviously an approximation since some maps have only 3 units while Veronica's has 5), which is 4.2 SP per stamina. Assuming you can properly feed kills to the unit in question, Tempest Trials are 3x more efficient for grinding SP than Training Tower.
  22. It's not ideal, certainly, but you'll be fine. People love to grossly exaggerate the impact of natures. Hinoka is virtually unaffected since she still ORKOs just about every non-green unit in the game with Life and Death, and if she has Hone Fliers on her, then she ORKOs every single non-blue except for Effie. The -Spd also shouldn't be particularly detrimental defensively unless you're letting her get hit on enemy phase, but there's no reason you should ever have her in such a position. If you ever do need someone to tank reds on enemy phase, that's what Catria is for. Palla's main role is to check greens since Hinoka takes care of everything else (with Camilla covering the few blues/colorless that Hinoka can't), and with her +Atk/-Spd nature, Fury, and a Hone Fliers buff, Palla can ORKO every single neutral green in the game. As for Catria, I'm not entirely sure what set she normally runs (or, more importantly, what set you're running), but a -Spd nature has her at 31 speed, which Hone Fliers boosts up to a respectable 37, meaning she isn't going to be doubled by very much. These calculations do assume that they'll have a Hone Fliers buff on them, but since you're running a Flier Emblem team, I'd like to believe that isn't far-fetched. The only one that might not have the buff is Hinoka (if you've only pulled one Hinoka then you obviously can't give the buff to another unit to buff Hinoka with), but Hinoka is also not as reliant on it since she still ORKOs most of her intended targets. You'll be fine. Natures are not nearly as pivotal as people make them out to be. A good nature is just icing on the cake.
  23. As long as you know it's going to be inferior to Renewal 2 or 3 and are okay with that, then go for it. I personally think you should always grab at least the level 2 of a skill though, since 3* units can be leveled to 20 instantly to shards, and 2000 feathers is a reasonable price to pay for the increase in effectiveness (spending 20k feathers for the increase from 2 to 3 often isn't worth it, but I personally think the 2k is always worth).
  24. Some people get a rush from the act of summoning and seeing what you get but don't want to spend actual hard-earned orbs for it (or simply don't have enough orbs to satisfy their urges). Some people just want to test their luck for the hell of it. Some people use it to discourage themselves when they feel an uncontrollable urge to pull. Either the act of using the simulator quells that urge, or using the simulator and getting a bunch of trash pulls makes the person realize how low the chances of getting the unit they want actually is, which discourages them from using their orbs. Some people use it as a means of fortune telling ("if I get a 5* within X pulls I'll have good luck for the day"). Some people who believe if they "get all of the bad luck out" on the summon simulator then they'll be luckier on their real pulls. Some people just don't have anything better to do with their lives. There are a wide variety of reasons people may want to use a summon simulator. I'm sure I've missed some, but here are most of the ones I've heard of.
