  1. Given they just recently broke bow colors into 3 and will probably do the same with daggers and healers some day, I find it hard to believe in the whole "Colorless Melee". I've also heard that they will be grouped in terms of their clan so hawk/crow laguz will be green for example. Issue with that is, all the flying units would be the same color. So I'm pretty sure they'll just be random colors with their given move type. Maybe beast units will have 3 movement or dragons 1. I don't see a problem with adding laguz. In the OP you mentioned there are only 30-40 laguz. Um, that's a lot. You do realize we only have a small fraction of that as manaketes. As for them having to add a new system, I mean, that would be really wise because IS would have something new to sell - they'd make a fortune.
  2. IS always works on a huge delay. When somethings broken they usually fix it to the point where its OP and then move on to the next thing.

Obviously reddit is not indicative of the larger community but if, as I suspect, it is an even split then that does tell you something. Especially considering the people who are most likely to spend (at least in the west) are probably active within the community.
  5. I doubt we'll see another SS Summer unit for the next 10 years. Remember that when FE16 comes out they'll have a third awakening/fates game to integrate into the game. I get that complaining about how a game isn't going to get more seasonals when they're literally getting more seasonals sounds stupid. But to me this just means they've fulfilled an obligation to release some SS seasonals and now they're done.
  6. Oh right lol. I dont know why I thought Tharja and Noire were from fates for a split second. Haven't played too much of either game. Guess that means 2 fates characters are going to be in the next banner.
  7. Look I'm happy to have summer innes and tana, I really am. That being said, I'm quite upset with this banner. Not only does it solidify IS favoring females to males, they just HAD to throw in one awakening and one fates unit. Not only that, but this is Cordelia's 2nd seasonal. Now we've had units get multiple seasonals before, but we haven't had them at the cost of a unit from the banner's theme (SS). So IS pretty much decided that releasing a SECOND seasonal version of an awakening unit is more valuable than releasing a full SS banner. Kind of insulting. As someone who has wanted Summer Ephraim and Eirika since like last year (see signature), this banner is a big negative (even though Innes is sweet). Judging from the awakening/fates favorabillity, it is highly unlikely that Summer Eph and Eirika will ever be released because there probably wont be another summer seasonal SS banner for at least 10 years and this game probably wont last that long. This wouldn't be such a big problem, if I wasn't sure that they were going to release summer Eph and Eirika w/ Innes and Tana had they decided not to go w/ awakening/fates units. Like if you're going to favor the newer games fine, but at least give me one freaking SS banner with all the units I'd expect. Don't give me 1/2 of a banner.
  8. For some reason when I have two units armed and two units unarmed the two unarmed units follow the armed units around. No idea why. As for an alternative, pair an armed healer w/ any high def unit on the left side. Give the high def unit vantage if (s)he needs it. Managed to get 40K feathers between last night and today so now I'm up to 60K feathers obtained from HM farming in two days.
  9. General strategy for Michalis - - - Have a highly survival (high def or high spd and mid def) like Leif or Lukas go up the left side. The unit going up the left side will get their first meaning they will have to take out most of the units. Have a healer follow (if you give a healer a weapon she will naturally go up the left end because that unit has less res. Have a blue unit on the right side and go up there to take out the red on the right. Pretty easy to change out units. I did it first with my Lukas, and then my Leif. I can also do it with Fallen Celica I'd imagine. And the unit that goes up the right and the healer can be replaced w/ anything as long as that unit can kill the red on the right. Vantage can help the unit on the left if he's struggling to kill all 3. edit: recip aid would work in place of the healer since you only need to heal once.
  10. Useful resource for this : Overall pretty happy with the changes. Ones that I REALLY wouldn't want due to being bad fooder and me not caring about themare: Soleil , Karel , Luke , MMorgan , YTiki , L'Arachal , Taitiu , Doot , Olwen , Julia/Dierdre , Mist Man the colorless pool looks great now. I would hate to get mist but Elise and Genny are great units to get and I love Sothe and Jaffar. I also need an Innes and Takumi/Faye/BLyn are really good fodder.
  11. I just sac'd my BIke who is one of my favorite units for Lukas. It sucks but sometimes you gotta do it. That being said LIke is a really great unit to have handy due to DC prf and Aether + wardening breath. If you're interested in HM farming, he's really good at it. Also he's an earth legendary so that can be nice for gardens or the GHB yearly quests. So he's a really useful unit to have for certain things even if he's not that amazing in arena. But yea - sometimes you have to fodder really good units for your favorite unit. edit: Also I should mention a lot of strategies consider Vike a free unit so if you struggle with GHBs and such then he can be nice to have b/c a lot of guides will use him. But this doesnt apply if you've progressed past using guides.
  12. I just want them to be more clear about how the scores work. They say that at the end of each battle a bonus will be applied based on how many people from each team have attacked that space - but they don't say how large of a bonus. They also say that if you win by a "threshold" then you can take it over imminently and not have to wait till the next round. But they don't say what the threshold is. A lot of people are going to say they want the maps to be more symmetrical. I disagree - I love the strategy behind the maps, even if they're not perfectly balanced. For right now either Anna and Sharena can team up and take down Alfonse or Sharena ends up defending her spaces while Alfonse takes over Anna. I like how there's a strategic bias that you have to figure out.
  13. True. I actually use Lukas to suicide run up the left flank (who murdered everyone) and I had Takumi go up the right. Both of them only started with ~100 HM so it worked for me. I think you can use Beruka or another high def flier to suicide straight up but not sure. Remember you can use the 4*s (its actually better to if it means you grind HM on 4 people instead of 3). So far I've made 60K feathers.
  14. Scenario #1: Anna goes northwest and sharena does the same. Alfonse gets decimated and Anna and Sharena fight one another. Scenario #2: Anna goes south and tries to take Sharena's lands when she has an unfair advantage. Anna completely fails (even if she succeeds its very easy for Sharena to take it back). Alfonse goes east and takes over Anna's territories while both Anna and Alfonse are trying desperately to take Sharena's lands. So if you're on team Anna all you have to do is go northwest and leave sharena alone. Sharena's team has no interest going anywhere near Anna's main base (why would you want to fight near an unbeatable tile?) - they'd rather go north towards alfonse. I think there's a psychological draw towards Scenario #1 because Anna's main base is so close to Sharena's territory so people want to go there instead of going northwest (Sharena will have a tough time taking them over b/c they'd have to cross through her infinite base). I think these two scenarios are true for like 90% of the instances.

  16. At the end we should compile a list of winners. From what I've seen, Alfonse is in first on the vast majority of the boards. The board territories aren't perfectly symmetrical so I wouldn't be surprised if one team has an advantage.
  17. I'm rather annoyed that the maximum you can get is 10. And most 2/3 of the teams will probably get <5. And we get arena coins which are fairly worthless. Really the only good reward is feathers and only if you're in the top 2. But considering I made 22k feathers grinding HM last night I'm not sure this mode is worth it. But it is at least fun, I think.
  18. I'm also struggling to auto lloyd or berkut. I think Berkut isnt worth attempting. My DC Aether WChrom can almost do Lloyd's but not quite. Maybe if I HM grind some armored units w/ ward armor... Yes I was able to do it with WChrom and Effie. When Effie got to max HM, I switched her out for Arden who was able to duo it with WChrom. Still not a great day for HM farming. But tomorrow is the best day - Michalis is so easy, you just need a high DEF unit with CD.
  19. Did anyone else notice that Sharena has an unfair advantage w/ the territories? The space directly north to her and the space east of that are the only 2 ways to enter Sharena's kingdom. It's like Australia w/ Risk where there are only two territories she has to defend. Of course that isn't stopping the Alfonse empire team Alfonse has going on right now, but still. I feel like Anna should be linked to the space south of her. But yes, team Anna is going to be dead next round. Only one territory. It's kind of upsetting that the team with the most territories is going to take like all the feathers and the losers will get nothing. But due to instances, I feel like I actually have a hand in stopping that.
  20. With the new HM grinding method, I am going to go for Lukas +10. What are your thoughts on Guard instead of Close Counter? He would lose 6 def which might make him vulnerable to really high atk greens but guard would prevent bold fiighter and other special boosters from proccing on him.
  21. that happened to me. I was able to move my units around so that doesnt happen. And I changed my neutral VIke to have QR1 and DD3 (rest his natural skills). If I change DD3 for like HB3 then the blue mage does that. I also m oved my red unit to slot 1 and my blue unit had hone atk and spawned next to VIke. If you fidget with it it should work. BTW I got 18K feathers just today from this.
  22. Thanks - I almost maxed out on my VIke and WChrom already and haven't seen anyone using Xander or Camus. Also note - Michalis's GHB is going to be very valuable. All the units are physical units so if you're looking for someone to solo it get a high def melee unit w/ CC and you're good. All the other maps probably require DC or CC to solo due to the mixed ranges - or are there any other that are all ranged or all melee? Camus looks really easy if you have someone who is effective against cavalry.
  23. Yes, it is - I'm obviously not an expert but one of the responsibilities of a parent for a child at a young age is to socialize their kid. Pet owners have to do this with dogs as well. I've heard psychologists say that if a kid is not properly socialized when they're really young they can never fully recover (though there are things that can be done to help such as behavioral training). I've seen this happen with a dog. But even if you are socialized there are statistical trends suggesting that being alone is not healthy. That being said, if you plan to have a job later in your life you'll most likely develop some king of social group you feel comfortable with. Also - human beings do not strive for happiness - nor is it healthy to. We say we do but half the stuff we do make us miserable. Its been proven that people who have kids will end up being more miserable than they were before children. Meaning drives human behavior - which is why people have kids even though they know it's more fun to not have responsibility. This is why nihilism is such a big issue in our culture today. Too much happiness is called mania and its about as bad for you as depression. So just because socializing with people isn't fun for someone that doesn't make it any less unhealthy.
  24. You'll run out of crystals pretty quick getting 4*s to level 40. It costs a crapton to get them to 40. Today is a great day to level 4*s though - the flying training map are much easier than the other training maps.
