My initial predictions were actually pretty close. I was correct in assuming the waifu voters would move from Lucina/Lyn to another waifu and not a 'boob-lady'. I didn't think it would be Celica, but I guess it makes sense. I also expected a waifu to be rank 2 with Camilla at one but seems I was off on this. Camilla did surpass Tharja as I thought she would, but she did so by a much larger margin than I expected. Ephraim, Chrom and Hector are exactly where I thought they'd be, but I'm still optimistic that Ephraim can move up. Alm, Veronica, and Loki are incredibly surprising to me. Mostly Alm, I didn't think he was that popular.

Events are all well and good but... I think we can all agree there is a serious lack of things to when you have, in my case, completed all story missions, all chain challenges, all squad assaults, done arena/AA for the week, and have 54 5*s. Arena Assault is all well and good but that's still a once a week kind of thing and once you do it then you have nothing to do (assuming you've finished all the early game and events) for the rest of the week. This can really cause the game to be less eventful than it actually is as we all wait for the next update. What are your ideas for late game content, do you think IS will address late game? Or will they just keep shoving out new events?

Ah I get the plot armor thing. I think a lot of the hate for Ephraim is people that think he's just a brute which I have to say is very untrue. But you're right he has a lot of plot armor like Valter letting him go. Then again, that's probably more SS's fault than Ephraim's considering Valter lets the three biggest characters go...

Just curious why? From the people you suggested, I'm guessing you don't like fighter-type lords and like more political/academic ones? Is that accurate?

What's with all the Ephraim hate on here? He's my favorite lord personally. I get why people don't like SS gameplay but Ephraim is great.

Just so people know, here is the old CYL Interim. Can you spot a difference between the interim and the resutls? Yea me neither. As I said before I'd wager ~80% of the total votes are in. Remember there are probably a lot of people who just stopped voting by now. I still hope Ephraim can overtake Hector though. Also Marth (Mystery) in 9th place...wow. Worst thing is you can't really preach to anyone b/c the people doing that aren't on forums/reddit/twitter.

I dunno. I actually quite liked Loki before her character art was revealed. I thought she was mischievous and interesting. Her art actually made me dislike her but I thought she was a good character before they released her art. So I wouldn't say she's "all boobs" although that's why people are voting for her. We see this all the time. Tharja, for example. IS's provocative art always ends up on random characters. I guess with Loki it isn't that strange, but I think they went too far and made Loki significantly less interesting because instead of being an interesting character she's just that character IS throws in every game for boobs.

More popular? Yes. Popular? Probably not. For one thing over half the total votes are in. I'd actually wager 75-80% of the votes are in b/c a lot of people probably already stopped voting. And of course, most people already decided who they're voting for for the next few days. But I expect him to surge a bit and be higher than he was in CYL 1.

It's actually the least likely to happen. We just got our first random alternate hero and it was a SS unit. IS isn't going to release another SS alternate for a very long time. In fact, I would wager all other games will get an alt before SS gets another alt. And that's assuming IS even does more alts.

People highly overestimating Chrom. Not only id he lose to Ephraim in the VG which indicates decreased popularity from CYL 1, but he has three versions out right now. I don't think there's a lot of people, even people who like Chrom, who really want to vote for a 4th Chrom. I still think Ephraim will surpass Marth by a large margin, but I wouldn't be too surprised if I was wrong. But I don't think Chrom has a shot.

Go Ephraim. We just got Brave Eirika and she needs a Brave Ephraim to go with her.

Notable pulls w/ ~130 orbs: - 5* Boey (Fed to H Henry) - 3* Shanna (Always need Iceberg fodder) - 4* Cain (Fed to a dancer) - 4* Chrom (In the refrigerator) - 4* Eirika (At some point I need to 5* and merge all 4 of them) - 5* Myyrh (+hp/-res), decent - 5* Celica (+atk/-def), amazing I wanted Eirika but oh well. Going to save my orbs for the next couple weeks and see whose in the special banner. If it's no one I like, I'll pull for Eirika again.

Interesting note. This is after the one year anniversary and there was no February special banner last year. You might say that it was too close to release but remember they had an x-mas banner planned when they thought they could release the game before x-mas. This means IS didn't originally plan to do so many seasonals so they must be selling well.

I think the casuals have a huge impact on the females so I think it's less predictable. But that's just my view.

Reddit poll closed b/c people started cheating to skew the results. Before it closed, Ephraim was ahead by about 100 votes. So very close. Now that Eirika has been announced, I'm guessing Ephraim will go up some more. So what we have is that the english casual-hardcore (mid) fans are slightly skewed towards Ephraim and the japanese casual-hardcore (mid) fans are slightly skewed towards Hector. I still think this is a good indication b/c most casuals will vote for females or Chrom (who is low) so they won't have a big impact on the male bracket. It also seems to me that Ephraim is getting more hardcore (x7) votes while hector is getting more (x1) votes from people voting for other units too. So I think it's a tossup

Part of me wonders if IS does have a new Ephraim in the works. And if he happens to win CYL, would they just hold him off until then and pretend they made him for CYL and not just cause? At the same time, its unlikely that our first two alternates that aren't CYL or seasonal would both be SS units. Meaning that if they plan to do an alt Ephraim with Garm, it would be a ways off.

People in the media think the world is male centric b/c they think people are sexist. People who don't like all the females in games being portrayed as sex toys do so b/c they think the people are sexist. They're actually consistent.

Would going off the results of CYL 1 as if they're going to be the same be "selected obliviousness"? It's conjecture to assume that nothing will change, especially when there are a lot more voters this time around (at least I think there will be). I did the math before and determined its actually fairly reasonable that Ephraim will get more votes from Reddit members alone than he got in total last time. CYL 1 was a long time ago with a fairly different crowd.

Yea I think Reinhardt is the first one that comes to everyone's mind. Of the games I've really played all the way through (FE7-FE10), I don't really think anyone stands out to me.

You mean conjecture? This whole thread is conjecture. The fact is there is literally no reliable way to know who is going to win.
