Not gonna lie, Magical Giirl-themed heroes would be beast. I would roll for every single last one of them, because Magical Girl themed heroes. And speaking of Forrest, he needs to be one of them.

She is. I've somehow gotten a total of 7 of them in the past, who I've fodderized off for Brave Axe (for Cherche and Frederick), and Darting Blow for a bunch of my nuke mages.

It's been a long, long time, to the point where I don't even remember how far back my last update was, and I don't want to go hunting through the pages to find it, lol. Oh, well, gonna start fresh. Alright, did a bunch of pulls with my horde of orbs (all F2P orbs). First, free pull. 4* Seliph (Neutral). Eh. Could've been worse. Was gonna spend 20 on L&D banner, looking for Minerva for Flier Emblem. Got 4 blues and one green. Pulled it. 5* Minerva (+Atk, - HP). Oh... Well, that was easy. Great boon/bane. Not bad at all. Now I could spend the rest of my orbs on the summer banner, just as I hoped. Looking for S. Corrin! Backed out to switch banners. First few pulls, got a lot of good fodder like Shanna, Subaki, Oboro and Henry. Got another M!Robin (puts it up to 5 now), another Olivia (that's also 5 now), and a second Mathilda (this one 4*). Then pulls of note: 5* Summer Corrin (+Res, -HP). Sweet! And a bane/boon that doesn't hurt her. Doubly lucky. 5* Summer Xander (+Res, -Atk). Eugh, that boon/bane. Was grabbing greens for S. Elise, but he's rare at least. 4* Soren (+Atk, -Def). Yes! Have been looking for a Soren since that first Tellius banner. Not 5*, but oh well, and got a pretty good boon/bane. Makes sense, too, since Soren has like 1 defense all of PoR. 4* Cordelia (+HP, -Spd) Damn, that bane. Well, at least she's Brave Lance, so it takes the sting off. I've been looking for one for Flier Emblem, since I fodderized my old one a long time ago. 4* F!Corrin (+Def, -HP) Kind of a weird boon/bane combo, but she'll be a tanky dragon for sure toward physical units. Well, no S. Elise, but I definitely can't complain. Got a good set of fodder and good units. Haven't upgraded the barracks yet, so I had to cannibalize one of the Wrys fodder I drew. Ah, well, Live to Serve and Heavenly Light will go wonderfully on Azama.

@Ice Dragon Thanks for the information! Thankfully Cancel Affinity is Mathilda-only, so I don't imagine many colorless units will be running it (not to mention the fact that there are far better B-slot skills, especially for the more powerful/common colorless units). Question, you mentioned that exclusive weapons are better for mages than -blade tomes. Do you mean every single exclusive tome, including Linde's Aura effect, which is just Breath of Life 2? I've always went back and forth between training up some -wolf tome users. They can be Horse Emblem counters, but -blade tomes are much more versatile in terms of nuking potential. Once I'm done with my other projects, I'll probably train them up just to have them in reserve, and bring them out maybe for PvE situations that are cavalry heavy.

Hey, at least he's beautiful. He's got that working for him. Speaking of Clive (sort of...), how good is Mathilda? I just pulled a 5* +Spd, -Res one, and I'm wondering how worth she is to train up. Ridersbane+ seems like it can be useful to counter Horse Emblem and for a few of the PvE maps, but I'm also training Camus and Reinhardt for my Horse Emblem team (it'll have a rotating membership depending on need).

Oh, yeah, I forgot about all of that stuff. I guess is Awakening can do it, it makes sense for other worlds to do it too. I like your explanations about the boons/banes too. Headcanon accepted.

@MrSmokestack Thanks so much! I've got so much -blade tome fodder isn't not even funny, including a grand total of 6 Odins, 4 Ninos and 3 Tharjas. I just wasn't sure if it was always the best option. Question, is Julia the exception to the -blade thing? I imagine super-effectiveness against dragons is too good to pass up.

Yeah, one thing that sorta bothers me about the duplicate thing... I get that it's game mechanic, but how the hell are we pulling multiple versions of the same character from presumably the same location/time each time? Are there hundreds or thousands of parallel universes that are the exact same, or a few that are the same except said character is slightly weaker or stronger than they are in another parallel universe?

Hey, so are -blade tome builds always the best for nuke mages? I ask because I'm not sure whether to SI Blarblade onto my Mae in place of Blarowl (and just how good Blarowl is in general), or give my Lilina a Rauorblade in place of Bolganone. As a side note, how effective are -blade tomes on bulkier mages like M!Robin?

You know, playing the VG makes me realize something. How fun would a randomizer mode in this game be, where you got a random team comp of your units on a random map? So long as it used all units within a level range and rarity that makes sense, I think it could be lots of fun, seeing as the element of randomness would mix things up.

Blame our lingering Puritan values. I would actually love a full-scale scene of the Battle of Belhalla. Remember Awakening's opening movie? The imagery in that is pretty dark and I imagine they could do the Battle justice. I don't really see them censoring it, since you can get away with a lot more these days in games than you could back when the game was released. Yeah... As much as it would have been cool to see the Japan-only FE games here, if they were localized when they were released, FE4 would have been hacked to hell and back by the censorship team, haha. Shadows of Valentia managed to neatly slip in some sexual themes. A few things Gray says right before rescuing Clair are pretty suggestive, as I recall, not to mention that Slayde pretty much hints at pillaging Ram Village in the prologue, especially when he asks Gray if he has any sisters. That sort of thing would go over the head of younger players, since it's not too obvious of explicit. The weird thing about Ike is that pretty much nothing else from Tellius besides him is anywhere on the radar, thanks to Smash and to a lesser extent Heroes. Like, Tellius itself and the Tellius games aren't actually that popular, and a lot of people have never played the games, but it's the main character that everyone demands. They don't know a thing about Ike otherwise, lol. Sure, but remember that it's a video game that was developed in the 90s. So everything looking like a 90s anime is par for the course during the time. I'm pretty sure the art style would be updated, just like SoV's art style had a major update. A Jugdral remake in SoV's style would be pretty cool, imo.

It's all about the resources. I'm pretty unlucky (and also F2P), so I always want to know easier to obtain and/or free alternatives to the godly people that still works. Like Xander and Camus, since I don't have Olwen or Leo or anything. Thanks though!

But we've got PoR Ike, not RD Ike, as of yet at least. Once we get RD Ike it'll all start making sense. I'm with you on this one. You never know how wonderful the huge amount of SP you get upon level up is until you've got a painfully low amount of SP and a max level unit. The water and the well thing, as it seems.

Hey, so what are the optimal setups for Horse Emblem and Flier Emblem, as far as team composition and SI goes? I have a ton of mounted and flying units, and am not exactly sure what combinations of units and skills are the best.

Yeah, you've got good lance coverage already. For people who don't have a great lance, Sharena is a pretty good free alternative.Like me, the only really good lancer I have is Effie (other than Abel, who I'm meh about), and Subaki is a tank, so Sharena's helped me out. Well everyone already knows who's going to win.

Yeah, on slow as molasses swords that hit hard, Brave Sword is the best option. I slapped one on my Seliph and his usefulness went up astronomically Sharena, it's definitely worth. She's a fantastic lancer. Anna is good, but not amazing. Alfonse... No, that's kinda a waste of feathers.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that guy. I've got one, 4*, but I gave him a Brave Sword so that he'd do anything at all. I guess cannibalizing a Chrom isn't so bad.

I did a double-take at Aether. This guy had a spare Ike or Ikes to murder, which proves that literally everyone but me has an Ike or multiple Ikes. Though Nino would be one of the easier Heroes to max merge now that I think about it, considering she's available as low as 3*.

Oh, I should have clarified. I meant that in general it's in the vein of Restoration Lord rather than his Japanese title - the exact wording may be "king" instead of "lord." Sorry for any confusion!

Yeah, but it seems like they picked and chose. I just looked up Ephraim, and his title is Restoration Lord in French too, rather than the original. Seems like everyone went with Restoration Lord. Oh, I know. But Ice Dragon showed us their original JP titles, which are nothing like their English titles. It's kind of a drastic difference.

You'd lose your 5* :/ Huh, interesting that the English title got rid of any mention of Lon'qu's gynophobia in his title, when apparently even the French kept it. Just looked it up, and only French and Italian keep gynophobe as his title. Everything else goes with "Silent Swordsman."
