  1. That's not to say they can't create new characters to be born when certain people are paired. I wouldn't say they'd be shoehorned, IntSys has done well with the extra characters introduced in the Shadow Dragon and New Mystery of the Emblem, and with Echoes it looks like we'll be getting a host of characters that weren't in the original game.
  2. Agreed with this. I know the RNG has come under fire recently, especially because Heroes did away with it. But I think it's an integral part of FE, and that FE would lose something important without it. I still remember my first experience on RD Hard Mode (*coughcough*back when I thought it was "Normal" mode, dammit localizers >.>*cough*) when my Edward got crit by one of the BANDITS at the beginning of the game and died immediately. I didn't even now they early-game bandits could crit! I just couldn't stop laughing. Yup, I know the RNG has caused much heart/headache in the past, but it's also given us some amazing moments. 1% crit kill on a 35% chance to hit? Yes, please.
  3. I'd say yes to a remake if it was a compilation with Binding Blade, and inserted mechanics like Pair Up to make things interesting. With the popularity of the parent/child thing, I'd say it could be really popular, considering there's an actual timeskip between the two rather than Fates'....*ahem*....interesting way of inserting the child characters in the story.
  4. ...So at first I thought you were referring to Azura from Fates and I was very confused. Sorry. I'm tired. Lol. As for the whole royal/noble blood vs. a special bloodline, it doesn't explicitly have to be literally royal or noble to count as special. With this character, it's the same as Ike's case. Ike may not be nobility, but he's not just descended from some average Joe off the street. Gawain was a rather important guy back in his pre-dead days, and when you're descended from famous heroes, I'd say that counts as pretty special, powers or not.
  5. Nope, neither Tellius game is on the eShop as of now, and what a tragedy it is. :l They put Blazing Blade and Sacred Stones on, but we can't have any love as Tellius fans. :/ That being said I got lucky with my copy of RD, years ago. Found it in the Gamestop used games bin.
  6. I'm not so sure. Cousin marriage was perfectly normal back in the time period that FE generally takes place in, and in Japan I believe it's still legal (correct me if I'm wrong, somebody.) It's even still legal in some US states, but it's generally way more frowned upon in the west than the east. For royalty, it was one of the ways of keeping the royal/noble blood in the family.
  7. There's quite a few kissing cousins options in second gen FE4, depending on who you paired up from gen 1. Ares/Nanna is just the one I remember right off the top of my head, since they're cousins no matter what.
  8. My current A-team is 5* Julia, 5* Seliph, 4* Nowi and 4* Merric. Getting lucky with my pulls, the very first summon I did was that Julia, and the second was that Seliph. XD Nowi's been pretty useful as the team tank, and Rally Defense has been great for me, not that Seliph really needs it, considering he's got some decent bulk on him as well. Plus her resistance-lowering has been great for Merric and Julia. Though if I'm lucky enough to get a child!Tiki, Nowi's probably gonna be benched in favor of her. I'm hurting desperately for bow users. I've still only got Virion kicking around, and a Gordin or Jeorge would be amazing right now, with all of these damn pegasus knights and dragon riders. And still...praying for that Takumi. Lol.
  9. Literally the first pull I did: 5* Julia. Hell yes. Second round of pulls I got a 5* Seliph. Hope my luck holds out!
  10. For the most part, wyvern riders are a big staple of the armies of the antagonistic/"evil" kingdoms, from Medon, to Thracia, to Daein, to Bern, to Nohr and all of that, while Pegasus Knights are normally used by the "good" kingdoms like Talys, Crimea, Hoshido, and all of that. The dragon riders even tend to be wearing darker armor than the pegasus riders, and they're usually riding dark-colored dragons. It's all design. I'm not saying that the entire kingdoms are evil or everyone within them are evil, but that's how they're portrayed in-narrative. We get lots of allied units from the "evil countries," with Haar and Jill being the standouts in my mind, considering how often I've played RD and POR. In fact, RD changed things up a lot, putting the central focus on the "evil" kingdom from the previous game, to the point that you have to fight for its freedom. In an FE context, that was mind-blowing, and doesn't get as much recognition as it deserves, due to RD being controversial in a lot of aspects.
  11. I'm not sure the ninja and samurai classes themselves are going to stay, considering they're pretty exclusively Asian-flavored, and in games without those influences, they just don't make much sense. Now, a remake of the Jugdral games would be perfect to insert them, considering Isaach is Asian-inspired--Shannan, Larcei and co. could be Samurai instead of Myrmidons, and ninja could easily replace thieves from Isaach.
  12. That would be pretty cool. Though since wyvern riders are generally used in FE by the "evil" faction/kingdom...we might not be getting one anytime soon. Giving us one would break that trend, so it would be pretty interesting. Then again, that weakness to bows, wind magic (and possibly thunder magic) would be annoying.
  13. Tibarn seems to be left-handed, if the fact that he punches (when in human form) predominately with his left arm is any indication. Didn't realize it till I saw one of those "Final Extreme" videos on him in POR, haha.
