  1. Yes I do! I never finished it (started it alongside a vanilla playthrough of FE8, lost my save files on an HD years back) but the creator linked to a support log on her original Tumblr post. IIRC you can also use a cheat to unlock the support log.
  2. It's not midnight over here yet but happy new year!!! My account has been dormant for so long, I want to delve into more non-social media/Discord spaces in 2024.
  3. Hard agree!!! I liked Timerra and Fogado on my first run but I honestly thought Seforia was the best NPC parent out of all of them, if her cutscenes alone were good she would've been even better playable. Interesting take, I think I agree... I think a lot of the parents were missed opportunities but Seforia and Hyacinth stick out to me the most on replay :/ I've wondered about the queen or his mistresses too besides the unnamed older brother.
  4. The early social media equivalents weren't nearly as corporate and algorithm-y as today. Myspace was popular among teenagers and young adults (a lot of musicians had official accounts and promoed new albums there), Livejournal and it's cousin sites (Deadjournal, Greatestjournal, Journalfen was an 18+ fandom equivalent) were like early Tumblr in a way, minus being able to share posts and it was more private (communities and journals/entries had filters so only certain people could see it like added friends). From what I know Xanga was a combination of both of Myspace and Livejournal and I have no idea what Bebo was. I had a Myspace in high school but I was too young to really get into Livejournal. A lot of Myspace users ended up migrating to Facebook, even the creator Tom said he preferred it lol. Youtube also started in the mid-late 2000s and it was a lot different, there were less restrictions so people would upload entire movies or obscure commercials without getting copyright issues. Streaming wasn't really a thing, Netflix used to be like an online Blockbuster and I would order DVDs to watch within a certain span of time and have to mail them back. This was more of a late-90s thing, but I do remember in 2000-2003 there were weird things like how you couldn't make a phonecall (on a landline) and go online at the same time. The dial up sounds have to heard to be believed. Anyone who says the 2000s were less political than now were likely not old enough to remember that it very much was. 9/11, Bush Jr., the War on Terror, and later Obama were huge hot topics. Legalizing marijuana and same-sex marriage were also a constant debate (weirdly supporting same-sex marriage was considered too far among liberals; most Democrats thought civil unions were good enough). I would join fansites for things like Pokemon and the off-topic sections would be full of people endlessly debating about these things. The general sense of humor and climate online was also really edgy and un-PC, the 2010/20s and now feel borderline sanitized now. So many "classic memes" wouldn't fly now. This led to people being insanely rude just "for lulz" and was borderline "no fun allowed" at times. "Nerd" groups like anime, furry, etc. existed but the people who hated them were really vocal and antagonizing about it. Even when I was 14 I was too nervous to post fanart that might be "bad" because it might be mocked. When people were nice online, they were more genuine IME. A lot of video game information was harder to find online, unless someone was dedicated enough to post a guide on GameFAQs or a legit fansite. I often bought players guides until 2008. Even then, so many fansites had the same information reposted because it assumed that it would be the first/only one you can find. Misinformation was also rampant, Pikablu and whatnot. I do miss that games were actually complete and weren't paywalled behind DLC or anything. I got into emulating older consoles, but anything cool like modding was unknown to me then. My experience with forums was pretty mixed, often negative, but I'd take slower and long-form forum discussions over social media with a character limit. I do miss "old" proto-social media and the lack of smartphones. When I was a teenager only well-off kids had a flip phone (I never had one), and even then they were banned in schools. You would get in trouble for having one out, even though flip phones could only take calls and maybe some cheap java games/play MP3s. iPods were also banned.
  5. Very positive although I do have some criticisms (I skipped most Somniel activities because they bore me, and I'm on my second playthrough and the lack of New Game+ is baffling). I had nonexistent expectations and ended up having an absolute blast playing, it's been the highlight of my year so far. The gameplay is its strong point and the story is "eh" but I'm genuinely charmed by a lot of the cast. The art grew on me a lot too, I thought the aesthetic was too cutesy for me at first but I got used to it pretty quickly.
  6. Matthew happens to share a name with a toxic ex of a family member, I went to school with a Julian and am related to a Boyd.
  7. It's already my 2nd favorite FE game and I haven't finished Verdant Wind or touched Silver Snow yet. I wish replaying White Clouds wasn't such a slog and there was a post-game, though.
  8. I started the beginning of it over a year ago...I'm back to playing now again ofc
  9. lol right? Ike and Titania is one of my favorite supports, so is Hector and Eliwood's B support specifically (I got it right before playing fe6 afterward too...) Tbh one of the things I liked about fe8 was the paired endings that weren't marriage either. I also prefer a lot of family or ones with an older and younger characters to stay that way :V I know I'm forgetting a lot of others
  10. I've tried playing Kingdom Hearts multiple times and couldn't like it much. Also tried playing MGS but had serious issues with it, however this was many years ago and I'm probably slightly better at games now. Tbh I'm out of touch with a lot of big names (or ones I bought but couldn't sit through) but I'd be willing to give them a chance if I had time. ETA This is probably an actually common opinion, but I think Pokemon RGBY is pretty terrible...still appreciate them though.
  11. I've only started actively looking for shinies in sun/moon after finding out about SOS chaining chances. My haul: I also got a shiny bulbasaur from wonder trade in ORAS and an arbok off the gts
  12. Good videos, pretty much the same impression I have of the info so far. (I'm optimistic it'll be different from the last two (...while also really having my fingers crossed there won't be marriage, etc, again because I'm personally tired of it at this point lol) (This is the first time I've heard of the "Effie/extra character might be MU" theory but rn I'm not convinced either.)
  13. Orson counts as minor, right The whole wife corpse thing is one of the parts I remember the most in fe8.
  14. I think it's a good move but it also makes me sad how people have to do this just to avoid potentially being taken down.
  15. I just checked my game and it's only been... Maria, Merric, and Ephraim, geez. I'm happy with the last one though.
  16. I most definitely have moved on from it after I played each route on vanilla and did a new file after homebrewing my 3ds. I haven't seriously played it since Pokemon Sun/Moon was released. I'm mostly burned out from the shitstorms about it (both rumors/telephone over jpn release and localization), I still managed to look forward to it despite that because I spoiled myself to make sure I wanted to buy it/knew what I was getting into. I was pretty pissy about a lot of things in the game itself but I've chilled out since the last year, my overall view that "It's okay"/"I liked all three routes for what they were but I personally wouldn't recommend it" still stands.
