  1. Celica's echo skill also costs 1 HP per round of combat so 2 HP in total, if you want to include that. It can still double as well it would seem.
  2. The interesting thing about build is that in the ENG trailer we see that Alfred has a base build of 7 +1 that he gets from Sigurd making it 8. However, in the JP trailer he has a base of 6 +1 from Sigurd making it 7. Also in the JP trailer he is getting a boost to avoid making it 16, whereas in the ENG trailer he is not getting a boost and his base avoid is already 16. In both he has a base speed of 6 and he doesn't get a boost. It looks like avoid will be calculated by doubling attack speed and adding half of the luck stat. Attack speed will be just like in previous games with build or con. Crit seems to be half of dexterity plus any weapon crit. I also noticed that the weapon triangle isn't affecting damage or hit and avoid. My guess is that it is rather involved in this new break mechanic. Going back to build though, with Alfred having a different build stat between the two trailers, I'm guessing that it actually has growth rates, like in Thracia, and emblem rings could modify growths.
  3. I like Frederick. He’s useful throughout the entire game with how broken reclassing is in awakening. He’s also a lovable guy character wise too. Pick a god and pray.
  4. Ike is my favorite lord both as a character and as a unit. I like how he is one the few lords not of nobility. I like his relationships with his family and other characters and how he develops throughout one of the biggest stories in the franchise. He has a great design. As a unit he hits hard and often. Ragnell is a powerful sword. Definitely a lord you want to train and put on the frontlines.
  5. Kinda depends on the game but for most games I’d say 16 max for like the big late game chapters. Because in some games, if you could bring every unit, you could start the map with just as many units as the enemy (which sounds pretty cool actually) but I feel like it would be overwhelming and slow with that many units to move around.
  6. About a month ago I decided that I wanted to play through all of the Zelda games. Prior to this I’ve played like half of them but only beaten like 5. Currently I have 9 left to beat. I’m not counting remakes and remasters as separate games either. It’s really fascinating playing them one after another and noticing similarities and differences between mechanics and how the games flow. Zelda is truly a fantastic franchise and I really recommend it.
  7. Is anyone excited to be able to bang our students? Sounds like something straight out of a harem anime. Fire Emblem meets High School DxD. Also, where will the children come from? The future? Deeprealms? Adoption? Timeskip? Divine intervention?
  8. Robin is always fun to use. Trying out different reclasses and booms and banes and pair-ups.
  9. FE7 was my first and if I remember correctly I benched Rebecca, Lowen, Marcus, Bartre, Florina, Kent, some others, and most pre-promotes.
  10. I will say that I am not part of the “divide”. I like each style of Fire Emblem equally and I welcome anything that the franchise has to offer.
  11. Mewtwo has always been my favorite ever since I was a kid. The movie is a big part of why.
  12. I remember watching my dad and grandpa playing Super Mario World and Super Mario 64 when I was really young. Then when I was old enough to play games myself I was really into Pokémon Yellow and Gold, Mario 64, Majora’s Mask.
  13. I’ve been excited for this since it was announced. Can’t wait to try it out next week. I’m getting the switch version.
  14. My username is simply my nickname that some friends call me in real life. It’s also kind of a family nickname.
  15. I live in Rockwood, Pennsylvania in the United States. It’s a really small and quiet town. I experience all four seasons here. Cold and snowy winters, rainy springs, hot and humid summers and windy and dry autumns. I’m surrounded by farms and there’s not much too do unless you like skiing or golfing. I’m 1 1/2 hours away from a big city like Pittsburgh. I where I live though, I have good family and friends.
  16. Gen 1 Charmander Gen 2 Cyndaquil Gen 3 Treecko Gen 4 Piplup Gen 5 Oshawatt Gen 6 Fennekin Gen 7 Rowlet
  17. Xenoblade Chronicles is probably the only game I could play over and over again like nonstop. Other games I would play multiple times would be: Xenoblade Chronicles X Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn Fire Emblem Fates Fire Emblem Awakening Fire Emblem Blazing Blade Fire Emblem Sacred Stones Fire Emblem Path of Radiance The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Super Mario Sunshine Super Mario Galaxy Super Mario Galaxy 2 Super Mario Odyssey Pokemon Emerald, Fire Red, Platinum, White, Y
  18. Best 1. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey 2. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 3. Octopath Traveler 4. Valkyria Chronicles 4 5. Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu Worst None. I actually liked all of the new games I played. Most Anticipated 1. Three Houses 2. Yoshi’s Crafted World 3. One Piece World Seeker 4. Jump Force 5. Bayonetta 3
  19. That’s a pretty deep question that would have multiple different answers. Most would be biased answers. To me definitive means that it has “it all”. Which no Fire Emblem game really has “it all”. Every entry has its own unique gimmick or mechanic to separate itself from the rest. For example FE7 has the three lords thing while Awakening has pair-up and marriage and children system. Definitive could also mean simply what Fire Emblem is from a storytelling and gameplay perspective. If had to choose one I’d say Path of Radiance because the story is true to Fire Emblem as the main character builds an army to defeat an evil entity. The politics are there, the character developments and relationships are there. The gameplay is true, all of the core mechanics are there. The maps are comparable to most in the franchise. It’s a complete game all around and a good entry point into the franchise.
  20. I was introduced to Fire Emblem through Marth and Roy in Melee. I liked them a lot in Melee and was always curious thought as to what game they were from. I was 6 or 7 at this point and had no internet so there was like no way for me to research what Fire Emblem was. Around the time FE7 was released in North America I was looking at games in Walmart and noticed FE7 was there and I thought Eliwood was Roy in the box art. I had my grandma buy it for me thinking I finally found the game that Roy is in. My first play through I was confused as to who Eliwood was as I kept thinking he was Roy, until I got to the end of the game when I realized Roy is Eliwood’s son. But I loved playing it and I continued to play every English released game since then. And FE6 too when I learned about emulators. Now Fire Emblem is my favorite franchise of all time.
  21. No way. I like the anime art style and will always prefer it. I don’t really think a realistic art style would fit for a strategy rpg like Fire Emblem. Maybe it could work in a spin off that only focuses on a few Fire Emblem characters.
  22. Favorite era - GameCube/Wii Tellius is my favorite continent and has many of my favorite characters. Also Radiant Dawn is my favorite game. Least favorite era - DS era I only played Shadow Dragon which I felt was the least interesting game I’ve played.
  23. It’s usually myrmidons, cavaliers, mages, archers and beast units for me.
  24. #1 is character design. How a character looks is the first thing you notice. For example Tibarn’s design shows that he would rather act than talk and that he is a strong fighter. #2 is personality. How a character acts and speaks is the second thing you notice. For example the Black Knight has little to say and acts quickly and efficiently. #3 is how dimensional a character is. Meaning what a character talks about or why they act. For example Camilla is very one dimensional. Everything is about Corrin. Everything she says or does involves Corrin. #4 is a character’s presence and development. How often a character is involved in the plot. The more screen time a character gets the more developed they are. For example Ike being a main character has huge character development throughout two games.
  25. 1. Tellius - I like the integration of laguz and the theme of racism. 2. Elibe - I like the lore and how each nation is different. 3. Magvel - I like the lore and the relationships between the nations. 4. Valentia - Only two nations but they are greatly defined and contrasting. 5. Jugdral - Interesting lore and politics. 6. Archenea - The nations are involved in the plot but not too fleshed out. 7. Fateslandia - It has potential but the writing just completely fails. 8. Ylisse - Nations felt kinda bland to me.
