Why are individual characters so important?

Basicly what everyone else has said, people have certain attachments towards certain characters, and as such, want those characters playable. It's why I would have been really upset if Lucina wasn't playable, because I really like her, same goes for others like Azura and others. -
I'm surprised anyone was expecting Jake, especially considering we haven't seen him since FE7, not counting remakes.

Anna's trailer looks super nice, and she looks super fun to play as. It's probably my favorite trailer so far, simply because of how fun Anna looked and because of the humor in the trailer.

I'm definitely going to be trying to get Inigo, and if I still have some orbs left over, then Azura as well. -
Lucina will probably be my favorite to use, since she's my favorite lord, but all of the characters look really fun to play as!

Unfortunately, I don't think Owain or Niles will be playable, and just be NPCs, if the too many Fates characters thing is anything to go by, but I could definitely see them as free dlc somewhere down the line. -
Darius reminds me a lot of Phoenix Wright, so he's my favorite OC by design alone. Can't say I really care for any of them though.

While I'm not a huge fan of DLC, I don't really mind it either, since it's extra stuff that wouldn't usually be in the game. Since Azura is more or less confirmed to be in the Fates pack, I really hope we get the Awakening-Fates trio somewhere in there. I think all 3 of them could be super fun to play as.

Ugh, that's super disappointing, given that she's like, the 2nd most important character in Fates after Corrin. I'd much rather have Azura over Lyn and Celica. I wonder why they even made that decision, given everything going for her.

I'm going to guess that the last few characters for FEW will be something along this. Anna, Celica, Ike, Roy, Caeda, Tiki, Minerva, Merric, Camus, Navarre, Gangrel, Validar, Azura, Garon, Inigo, Owain, Severa, Gaius, and Tharja. A bit on the bigger side, but I think something like this is possible.

I'm honestly not expecting anyone other than Lyn to be in outside of the main 3 games, but I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Ike. Only time will tell, I guess.

While not specifically Fire Emblem places, I've seen much worse on places like Youtube and Twitter. This place has kinda become my hideout from there.

Soliel for me. I guess she could get in as a costume for Inigo, but I'm 99% certain that she won't make it in. -
I wasn't on the Gauntlet until after I switched Teams from Lucina to Ike after her loss, but even the Camilla vs Ike was super toxic, and I consider SerenesForest the least toxic Fire Emblem place I can think of.

I honestly don't really mind having a bunch of sword users, as long as they're fairly unique and look fun to play, I can't really find myself caring about what weapons are in. (I still kinda wish that the two main characters were an axe user and a lance user, it looks like it'd fit them better)
