??? What? What protocol? What is the worst that could happen if you do away with protocol? There is no protocol to dating humans really... How you choose to date and who you want to spend time with is entirely up to you. Other people's opinions shouldn't matter. Only because you judge yourself this way, the opinions of a stranger shouldn't really matter to you when it comes to your love life. And if you don't want to meet someone for whatever reason, that is entirely within your right. Rejecting someone that you are not interested in shouldn't be seen as a sign of weakness. And in the case where you rejected someone you were interested in, all I would see is someone who is making a bigger deal out of things than he needs to.

you could post guesses on each poster's political affiliations and then make an anonymous poll asking how right you were I still feel like that could be wrong. Like doing the 'wrong thing' might end up being a good thing. A case that comes to mind is one example of a problem Kantian ethics has. Lying is wrong in Kantian ethics, yet it might lead to a good thing if you are lying to protect somebody whose life might be in danger. For example if you are hiding someone from a murderer, you shouldn't admit to hiding them when the murderer asks you about them. In this case you are saving an innocent life, yet you are lying which if you follow Kantian ethics, that would be wrong. Ethics is messy. I don't think i necessarily agree... Your assumptions as to why something is the right thing could be wrong, but when you do it happens to result in a good thing. I don't have any example I can bring up in the moment, but I feel very suspicious of this statement. There are cases where you can arrive at the correct conclusion for the wrong reasons. It happens a lot in games like Mafia and Among Us Also, I really hope Anonymous Speed clarifies what this pseudo scientific test is at some point. Though something tells me he won't.

Then you introduce the paradox of liberalism tolerance. By which a tolerance for everything would inevitably mean being dominated/exterminated by those who believe only their view of the world is correct and those who do not agree should either be exiled or worse.There needs to be limits to this. These are murky waters, but generally i think it is a bad thing. I mean just cause you think its the right thing, doesn't mean it actually is a good thing for you or everyone else. And I think this attitude could lead to people just going with whatever first thought comes into their mind, believing they wouldn't see faults in it after closer/deeper examination. I'm not saying this can't lead to good, but generally speaking I would urge people to consider why they think what they think first.

It isn't too hard to end 4-F-5 in one turn, and two should be fairly doable without Gareth. I can't remember much about weapons in Radiant Dawn, but I do remember finding out Wyrmslayer was great against Deghinsea and i never looked back. That was extremely useful in drafts.

I'm always really sad that gamefreak likes to focus on making remakes of the first two versions as opposed to just a remake of the third one, which usually is the better one. It wouldn't really stop them from making two versions either if thats what they really care about. The story wouldn't take too much of a hit in terms of having different pokemon available.At least i wouldn't think so. Though I can't remember Platinum's story too well, nor do i know Diamond/Pearl's story. I also agree with you that Platinum's colder aesthetic/atmosphere is far better.

Did Sinnoh go through some warming? I noticed in the trailer there is a lack of snow in the starting area, and I wonder if its going to be added or not. I kinda like the snowy look the first town... I mean it doesn't really feel like that big a deal if they forgo it but I hope they add it back. Edit: 😮 apparently the Diamond and Pearl versions did not have the snow.

I hope the keep the GTS, with additions from later gens. Instead of removing it and relying on the app. Though this is likely very unlikely 😕

kinda wished they had gone for a platinum remake. But hopefully they keep all the improvements and features of Platinum... I'll be very sad if we don't get the full Battle frontier at the very least. Also, I hope we get to go into Giratina's dimension as well. It would kinda suck if we don't 😕

If the trailer is indicative of how much polish it needs but won't get (like Sw&Sh) it will get a shit ton of criticism just for that. Granted, Gamefreak is unlikely to escape that until they start to seriously treat part of their older fans a bit more seriously. Which they have very little reason to do, considering how well Sw&Sh sold... 😕 Also, i think since the starters are not from Sinnoh, I feel like we could see at least a few more pokemon from other generations. Although both Rowlett and Samurott seem to fit a feudal theme... so that might be why. Still the game looks intriguing, though not a first day buy for me. Gamefreak lost that trust a while ago. I will wait and see what happens with how the game is delivered. If they can't improve the animations (holy shit that chimeco is bad) and the textures of foilage and trees I'm probably not getting it.

The evil church/religious officials trope of 'people can't handle the truth. The lie is more comfortable'. Not to say it can be done in a meaningful way but to me I feel like it is everywhere. I really didn't like this for FF14 Heavensward. Though it was well written in all fairness.

😮 at the skyward sword HD and the joycons! Kinda felt meh about everything else. Except maybe the Triangle something or other turn based game. That looks neat.

In normal playthroughs i think it is mainly for the defense stat since Heavy armor tends to offer the best Physical defense. Plus the bonus stats might not seem significant, but it does offer some change, like if using a weapon that uses str purely in its damage calc and you have 100 atk power against an enemy with 50 defense, Assuming the character caps strength (99) using the grand helm (+12 bonus to Str in Zodiac age) and is at lvl 1 you'll do the following amount of damage: Lowest roll: 1984 Highest: 2479 Without the Helm: Lowest: 1545 Highest: 1932 So at most the extra bonus strength is a difference of ~1000 damage. At worst the difference is 52 HP. Since the damage is random this might not amount to much in the general course of the game, but in fights like Yiazmat and the other high HP dragon, you'll absolutely want to maximize your output as that is likely to matter a lot more then. I'm curious to see how this might affect average battle time against Yiazmat and shit, but I don't know enough about probability and how this would look like in a prolongued battle scenario and I'm too lazy to learn it. I should note characters are not going to max str at level 1. This was merely done to see limits. Out of curiosity, as your level increases the gap between max stat and not maxed increases by quite a bit: With helmet at lvl 99: Lowest: 3879 Highest: 4848 Without Helmet at lvl 99: Lowest: 3211 Highest: 4013 So overall the difference can be fairly significant, specially as your level and att power of your weapon grows. However the randomness of damage calculations can make the difference seem non-existent and confirmation bias can make that worse.
