  1. Just like everyone else that's expecting one, the evidence is going by other gacha games' summer specials and it would seem much more unlikely for us to NOT get one that the opposite. Same reason I'm sure everyone would expect something for Halloween. Even the wedding banner is still partly speculation, since the stuff in the files could be for something else rather than an actual wedding banner, too. But again the practices of other gacha having wedding banners around this time of year is something people are sourcing for it. And I don't think making alts too often is a reason to think they won't do a swimsuit banner too, since let's be real, swimsuit waifus/husbandos will push orb sales en-mass and they surely know this.
  2. That's a kind of off-looking Lute. Something about her disheveled hair and the way that dress looks anti-gravity puffy. She's got some real fancy shoes on her though.
  3. I have a gut feeling they won't do Ike since he came out so recently. And I dunno, he just doesn't strike me as fitting with this theme. Lyn and Eirika seems like good choices, since Lyn both popular and hasn't had anything special for her at all since the very first banners.(was she maybe on 1 more since? I forget) And Eirika was in that bride class dlc for Awakening, so that makes some sense. If I weren't expecting Lucina to probably be on the swimsuit banner I'd probably expect her too. But I think they might save her since Lucina 3 special banners in a row might be seen as too much, and swimsuits > wedding dresses for printing money. I know some don't think they'll use the same characters that often, and that might be right, but ones like Lucina and Camilla will just rake in orbs sales so I still expect to see alternates of them pretty often.
  4. I basically never use them and often forget they're even there. Because you can't double when using arts it's also often superior for me to just use a regular attack instead, and even on slower characters it's rarely enough of a jump in damage for me to care. I think they're a neat idea, but don't really feel like they come into play much. Could also be a mix of the game being easy and them being underpowered, in most cases, which makes them not feel like much of a factor when making combat decisions. I prefer the current proc skill system, even though it has its flaws too.
  5. The new maps are pretty fun, and I like the idea of using Kozaki's play data as the theme. That's pretty neat.
  6. Yeah that's very true. I was too busy thinking about how he acted himself and forgot that he's treated just like anybody else by the other characters, which is a good thing.
  7. I've found them to be really valuable. It helps my Tobin's gotten a lot of pretty good level ups too, contrary to how I hear he usually turns out. Tobin and Leon are both very helpful on their respective paths. Python's pretty shitty, though. Only his strength has had decent growth. All his other stats pale a lot in comparison to Tobin. Leon cleared out the desert fortress almost on his own by popping all the archers and arcanists hiding behind the walls. Tobin and even Python are currently one shotting witches for me on Alm's path as well, which is pretty great too.
  8. If it were the ability to marry one of your heroes it'd be pretty funny to say the least. And I'd get to marry Camilla a 4th time. Also, I knew Kantai Collection was all about cute ship-themed girls but I had no idea it went that far..
  9. I like him and think he's got pretty good dialogue, but at the same time I disagree with saying he's some amazingly-done gay character. He does a stereotypical flamboyant twirl when he levels up and he still feels like being gay is his main characteristic. It could be a lot more in your face than it is, but there's not a lot more to him. I also think it's a bit odd how he pines for Valbar. I get the reason he presents for it, but the poor guy's just lost his wife and child yet Leon is still making moves on him. He's a beastly unit though, for sure. He cleaned house on most of the desert maps picking all the archers and anarchists off all by himself. I almost wish I made Atlas an archer too since Leon's just made me value having an archer so much on Celica's path.
  10. I'm not inexperienced, but that doesn't mean I still wouldn't like them to be permanent. Even the off and on nature of the log in bonuses is a hell of a lot better than Granblue, FGO or most of the others. However, since this game has shown to be more generous than most gacha games, it's understandable people come to hope for things like daily orbs and whatnot to stick around. And there's no need to talk down to other posters.
  11. I didn't care for her there either. She had no good reason to flip out on Alm like that. It just felt like they had to give her an out of character moment to cause conflict so the story got steered in the direction they'd planned. It's a shame they did it that way, but at least she does actually apologize for being so irrational later on.
  12. IS wants to bore people for the moment so they go and buy Echos instead. It's all part of the master plan. For real though, make 2 daily orbs permanent for God's sake.
  13. I had my first loss in weeks and it was only my second battle of the day. They had an Azura with Tharja (a mirror of mine), Hector and Eirika. Would have been no problem if not for Azura. I had no way to deal with Tharja getting danced on that layout, since nobody on my team can tank her with buffs and I couldn't just stay out of range and then attack her after she'd moved next turn because there were too many walls in the way to position for it that quickly. I hope I don't run into that one too often..
  14. Man the new arena map (or at least I sure haven't seen it before) with both sides staring on the left and right with nothing but 2 space forts and 2 space breakable walls mixed all down the middle makes me want to punch somebody. I didn't think we'd get a map that felt more brutal than the old one with both sides starting behind breakable walls, but here it is.
  15. I've had a few major projects so far that I'm pretty happy with. This was my first major project that took me quite a long time to finish. Granted the A skill never got replaced, but that's because she became benched before I finished since (as I'll get to in a moment) another project unit has taken her place on my main team. A 4* -spd Peri was literally my only usable blue unit for a couple months(I was trying to conserve my feathers too much to upgrade Sharena), and she served me valiantly. I really needed somebody who could be solid against swords and mages, so she became my first SI project to help her do just that. She preformed very well, until the next girl came along.. I managed to pull the #1 blue unit on my list, so of course I had to go all out with her as best I could. She's the first unit I sacrificed an upgraded 5* to for a tier 3 skill(RIP Hana) She's just incredible. I wish she was +atk instead of just +def/-res, but SI-wise I'm very happy with what I've done with her. She's so much fun to use and a vital part of my main team. It took a long while to grind all that SP on her, and even with Galeforce being native to her it still costs a hell of a lot. She's one of the most rewarding SI projects that I've done, aside from the next unit. And here's the current crown jewel of my barracks, and the most extensive project for skill inheritance I've done by far. Totally worth the effort as she's a complete monster. I wish regular Camilla was half as good as bunny girl here is. Savage Blow was thrown on when I had no Threaten Res available to pass on instead, but it's been doing fine enough so I don't feel like switching it out despite that I have some extra Ursulas I could use for it now. It took a lot of effort to SI literally every skill onto her, but it's worked out great. Making a Cecilia 5* for that Gronnraven+ was painful but totally worth in the end. She's a joy to use and just excellent all around in both arena, GHB and all the other new maps that have come out. She even hit 2000 HM way before my Eirika did (who's usually always with my trainees) because of just how much I use her. I don't really have any current big projects going on, sadly. I've been budget SI'ing some of my other 5* units and training up some more of the 5* and 4* units I've had sitting around in preperation for the permadeath event, but nothing has been a big deal like these. Outside of any upcoming units from new banners, I'm still waiting to actually pull a Beruka and Kagero that have both been evading me, much to my dismay. Unless I get awful IVs on them I'll be putting a lot of effort into making them 5* and decked out with skills when they finally find their way to me.
  16. I'm on chapter 4 and I think these maps are worse than Awakening's. I didn't hate the maps in Awakening like a lot of people seem to have, but they were very meh at best. These are even more boring most of the time. And unfortunately a lot of the more interesting-looking maps end up having poor gameplay anyway, like they had a cool idea for a map, but in practice it just doesn't really pan out as well. Stuff like picking off every archer/mage in the desert fortress with Leon, or the ship maps where you just sit on the choke and watch the enemies pile into the meat grinder. It doesn't mean I'm not having fun, but these are just noticeably less interesting than any other FE's maps I've played it terms of making me have to think or actually use any strategy to beat them. Perhaps coming fresh off of another Conquest playthrough makes it even more apparent.
  17. I just started chapter 4 and he's basically contributed nothing so far. Partly because all his stat ups have been pretty terrible and part because he just joined too late compared to Saber and Kamui that they're both way ahead of him in stats all around. Maybe I'm just having bad luck with mercs so far, since my Gray kinda sucks too.Gray's probably my worst unit on Alm's side, and Atlas is my worst on Celica's tied with Jessie (who's got the same problem). I'll have to see if I can grind them some in this chapter if I hope for them to ever get going. Doing the desert maps kinda starved my melee infantry for exp since Leon, Mae and the fliers got to do most of the dirty work while everyone else was slogging through sand or choke points to get to enemies.
  18. Cleared it on both difficulties with the same team and almost no effort. Spring Camilla/Cordelia/Eirika/Tharja. Camilla just cheese the mage and archer with no problem, then the axe pegasus flew down and Eirika-buffed Tharja wiped it out. Then Lloyd and the blue cav had both moved forward, and Camilla nuked the cav and Tharja nuked Lloyd on the same turn. Probably the easiest GHB yet for me. Even Navarre's was harder.
  19. Pretty bummed, I spent the 20 gauntlet orbs trying for Mae/Celica and got nothing of note besides a -atk 3* Palla for Moonbow fodder. Then I spent a couple more orbs despite my better judgement and pulled a 5* Chrom +hp/-res. This game's really making me hate Chrom. This is the second time he's shown up as an off-banner 5* just to fuck up my appearance rate.. God damn it Chrom stay away from my barracks, I don't want or need you.
  20. Wow that looks like a fun map to do with Spring Camilla. She can just fly over and clear out the right side on her own, unless they're very res-heavy. Or you can cheese the map by swinging Hector over to the right with a flier's Reposition as well. Side note: Funny his sprite looks good and like he's supposed to, unlike his art.
  21. For simplicity I'll just try to do favorite overall. Mostly leans towards liking the character themselves. Luckily most of my picks happen to be good units too. Red -Sword: Lucina (still haven't managed to get her) -Tome: Tharja -Dragon: Adult Tiki Blue -Lance: Cordelia -Tome: Mae (hope I can get her) -Dragon: Nowi Green -Axe: Camilla -Tome: Spring Camilla Colorless -Bow: Takumi I guess. (Not a fan of our current bow user selection, but he's a fun unit to play with at least) -Dagger: Kagero (who continues to evade me) -Staff: Elise (hope she gets another focus and I have orbs to pull for her some time)
  22. Tharja's secrets have nothing to do with beauty, only victory. Got 18,830 total rank (1,800 feathers) and 7,317 team rank (2,700 feathers) plus 500 for victory. Forgot the rest of my team ranks but they were about the same. Not a bad haul, especially for having hardly any 3x boosts to help my score. Lack of multipliers did tank my rank pretty good overall compared to last gauntlet, though.
  23. Yeah, like I said the other day I think the 3x multiplier was a bandaid fix, but it just made things meh in a different way. It just gave an illusion of closeness, and even if it had caused a last minute upset during any of the battles it would have just seemed kind of lame. Chrom vs Ephraim was great since it was a honest straight up match that still managed to be close.
  24. Oh man now we've got people saying flags in place of feathers too! This gauntlet's doing it to everyone now!
