  1. On one hand, they kind of bug me since that's effort that could go to adding more to the permanent pool. Just, it'd be nice if not every month was a seasonal. I think in the grand scheme the normal pool still outweighs it, obviously, Like there's "only" ~39 (+2 tempests) but it does start to wear on you especially since we're down to 3 permanent additions (with the 4th going into GHB, tempests, legends) and one of those 3 is a variant. And the whole state of 5* vs 4* vs 3* pools, but that's a different topic. I mean I get it really, I do, game has to get money, limited time mostly popular characters in funny outfits keeps the game going, but still. On the other hand I love the series having fun with itself and all the seasonals are good fun. Designs are usually great (even if their criteria for armor is...suspect...) and the voice work fantastic and it's hard to stay mad a at a game that brought us Alfonse in a bunny outfit using an easter egg in a spoon as an axe that hatches into bunnies.
  2. I think going to 150 made sense. Let's them up the levels of each DLC and you could still go just a liiiittle higher leveled to help with the content if needed. But not TOO much. It works. 255 was like they thought of a cute reference and then thought nothing further. I don't think anything in Legends even required 150 from what I remember people talking about it, much less that much.
  3. the sweet sense of satisfaction of the most coveted thing: arbitrary 100%ing
  4. Considering all the different things I wouldn't be surprised if Robin & Corrin's alts are internally considered different characters,so they just swap out the file. Also guessing that the end videos are in-engine in switch but premade in 3DS. Or, if not in-engine, something akin to that. You see that in different games, the higher quality stuff ignores outfits or weapons vs the ones that dont. iirc Hyrule Warriors Legends was the same way
  5. It's just a fancy dancer's outfit. Probably nothing more put into it, though it does coincidentally line up with Askr aesthetics from Heroes.
  6. Yeah I honestly thought they'd just go ahead and add them as costumes in the final update.
  7. It is pretty good. At level 105 I believe it's 10 golds and 21 silvers. Every 5 levels is +1 silver, every 10 levels is +1 gold. But if you're going to abuse this, you only need to go to level 50 after the inital reset (since I'm guessing most of us have people in their 100s). It's the best money:material ratio and, at the very least, it's cheaper to do 50 twice than 100 once. You get exactly the same amount of materials but save like almost 2 million gold. I reset Xander, bought his 720 stuff and I'll probably put him on the level 50 grind for a while. need them materials!
  8. Considering how big a deal the skill is, that's surprising. Especially when they put Armor Break & Critical Focus behind kills.
  9. It's +25% at max. I'm not sure how it scales outside of Owain.
  10. I feel like Masked Lucina's mask should have broke too. Like a corner chunk tears off, so it still stays on but you can see one of her eyes or something.
  11. I actually really like Escape. It's different enough without being overbearing and I generally like the flow it has. The escapees also aren't as annoying as Recruitment battles, honestly. They onl yget interrupted once by 2 guards and you can easily cut them off and they move at a fast clip. I just did Escort the Villager and this was not at all what I thought it was going to be. See I thought this would basically be an Escape variant. You would be escorting the villagers as they slowly meander, defenseless, through the map to the escape point as more and more enemies swarm in and you're dealing with secondary objectives. I was not expecting you defending stationary villagers on a tiny map with 2 units. I didn't have too much problems with the level 33 version of this on Emmeryn but I can tell already this is going to be rough as the levels go up. Enemies spawn very frequently, you have to deal with rally captains and lightning strikes from diviners, you only get 2 people to deploy and aside from the healer you NEED to send someone to deal with the rest. You can't let lightning strike the entire map and you cannot let the enemy get morale boosts.
  12. Yeah, that's new. They've done that before, too. Corrin got one of him in a rage, for example, and obviously his dragon portrait for the fates DLC. I want to say a few others got a new portrait here and there, too. You can see all the base game portraits here: https://www.spriters-resource.com/3ds/fireemblemwarriors/
  13. Oh I meant to ask this before, but the update notice said that the credits were updated. Were they never updated before now? Is it just adding all the new VA or did they change anything else with them.
  14. The wording of the interview made it seem like she was always in their plans, but they considered cutting her due to being a child character & being another sword unit (*rolls eyes*). They talked with it with both IntSys & Nintendo and deemed her to important to the story to cut (and popularity, we can assume). Important thing to note here is that if Lucina got the boot, Owain would have too. Anyway the fact she was almost cut is irrelevant outside of the actually they hate her and purposely didn't want to use her for anything conspiracy theories. While we're on this subject we can probably thank Lucina for the clones having different idle animations judging by that same interview which is just insane they didn't think of that to begin with, but so many things about this game's development are just fascinatingly weird or dumb. Like Lucina not getting a lot of conversations, or the awakening cast not getting a lot of DLC covnersations in general, or 4 archer clones, or Tharja being the only clone to get a unique move or worrying about roster balance in the same season pass that added 2 more sword clones and a new sword moveset or--
  15. Owain's broken armor honestly reminds me of his dark mage outfit, for some reason. Guess it's still having part of a top
  16. yeah it's a weird decision. Like, again, the only thing I can think of is they didn't want you to think these weapons has extra, secondary effects? Like yu'd expect the armored axe to maybe dull damage? It's weird,if they ever do a sequel they should change that up. Add some spice! Likewise it's weird they changed cordelia's weapon from the Gungnir
  17. Shout out to Robin's vocal performance and a great example of how good voice acting can really elevate dialog.
  18. Consistency, I guess. All of the names in Japanese are a 3 part name: Character's Name + Some Descriptor + Type of Weapon. Localization turned them into character name + weapon, but I'm not sure why. I suppose judging by the datamine, the original intent was to use the descriptor instead but they changed their minds for some reason. Maybe they didn't want you to think that "Cruel Bow" would do something different from "Lucky Bow" or that "Healing Axe" would, like, heal you? e: To be clear they got truncated probably for character limits, but it seems like it'd be better to chunk off the character name isntead.
  19. Celica hasn't gotten any appearances or supports in any of the DLC, has she?
  20. I switched to Anna's system voice and if Olivia isn't the same voice they got one heck ofa sound alike.
  21. Oh wow, Olivia is crazy weak. At level 50 promoted her attack is 38. 38!. She might be the weakest character in the game If you're curious, the rest of her attacks at level 50 promotion: 404 HP 36 Def 33 Res 75 Skill 83 Speed 86 Luck So her shtick is taking advantage of the best stats in the game at the loss of base line strength. I
  22. Probably has nothing to do with performance considering all the other VA they got back. If it's not Strassman there might have just been scheduling conflicts.
  23. For everyone's weapons I have no idea where the Missiltainn is. I spawned the first set of reinforcements and I still don't see it. The scroll, meanwhile, is on the boss of the map "Scion of Legend" level 105, neutralized effectiveness. Perhaps this is like Marth's map where you must complete the map to get the sword. Lissa's Axe (come on game you called it Healing Axe in the stupi--) is on Scion of Legend's history map, on a level 34 timed attack (tomes/stones only). Lissa's Axe Scroll is on a level 86 Escort the Villagers mission. Tharja's Hex is on a level 53 Escape mission on Emmeryn Thoron is on a level 47 Shadow Rush, also on Emmeryn. Yes it is like 5 squares away from Tharja why do you ask Tharja's Hex Scroll & Thoron's Scroll...i don't know. It's probably in the reinforcements for Emmeryn, but the boss doesnt have it Cordelia's Lance Scroll is also in Emmeryn, on a level 92 Targeted Elimination, time constrained, mission. The actual Cordelia's Lance, however, is in Caravan Dancer. Level 51 Targeted Elimination, no need to spawn reinforcements. Frederick's Axe is also on Caravan Dancer, as a level 49 Recruitment Battle. Olivia's Sword we've actually seen, it's on "her" tile that shows up as reinfrocements. Once again there's no scrolls before reincofrmence and the boss only gives an Elixir. The bond charm is also in Caravan Dancer. Level 29 Escape.
  24. Annoyingly, all the master seals are hidden behind reinforcements But man oh man is Owain's dialog so good. Its so good....thank you voice director. Tharjas (which seems to be prounouned Thar-zha) is also great. Olivia's isssssss nnnnot great. Hopefully her supports bring up the rear but who cares about that we have level resetting to talk about. You have to beat the story mode before you can use level reset, its in the Temple incidentally. It will always cost one million gold to level reset, no matter the level being reset You get gold & silver materials At level 10 you would get 2 silvers and 1 gold. At level 90 you get 18 silvers and 9 gold. At level 95 you get 19 silvers and 9 gold. At level 100 you get 20 silvers and 10 gold. So basically every 5 levels gets you one more silver and every 10 levels gets you one more gold. It only increments at multiples of 5. So 90-94 will all give 18/9, 95-99 19/9, 100-105, etc I don't have anyone above 103 in my barracks, so I can't confirm if you get an extra material bonus for resetting a maxed character. Probably not? So it costs < a million to level someone up to 50 (10/5) and > 3 million to go to 100 (20/10). So if you're going to do abuse this for materials, it's better to go low and do it a bunch of times. It's costly, but I think this really will help ease up on some grinding. 15 materials for >2 million honestly isn't terrible, but I'm sure some people will run the cost/risk analysis on this later. e: It costs exactly 785832 gold to go from level 1 to level 50. It costs 3,240,207 gold to go to level 100.
  25. There may seriously be no special reason beyond "hey, lets make a colorless dragon"
