    What academic institution am I supposed to attend in order to get the PHD needed to to easily comprehend these ridiculous skill descriptions?! lmao They really need to delete SDS and SDR at this point, because there is no way in hell anybody could analyze all this crap and cross reference everything in under sixty seconds. The only way I could think of to give anybody even a chance to plan things would be to add a "simulation" button that lets you tap on two units (including ones that can't currently reach each other) and two spaces and be given a preview of what would happen if they fought there under current conditions.

    And is that Emblem affect flat DR (meaning not pierce-able by lethality and so on)? If so, the one and only way to kill desert Altina with that thing equipped will be boat loads of pre-combat damage. lol

  2. Ugh... ANOTHER new hero type already? It's only been a few months since they introduced attuned heroes, of which we have gotten a whopping grand total of three, and now they go and throw in yet another one... But will they be the stars of banners on their own some months like legends/mythics are, or will they ALWAYS be appearing alongside a new legend/mythic? I hope not. That would be the exact opposite of the direction I wish they'd take things. I'd like to actually have some room to breath between new units; Legendary banners have the worst odds of all banners for getting a unit you want, and dealing with just one new unit per month already feels like way too much. I wish they'd turn those into a bi-mothly thing and maybe do something like a "reminiscence banner" in their place (a banner that brings back old units like seasonals and could have an added bonus like getting a "dragon bouquet" that can max out the flowers of a single unit if you spark on it). At the current rate things are going, we'll be getting  Legendary Brigand Boss before we know it. 😵

     

    So an Emblem hero can be used to power up a single other unit (even if you have multiple Marths, you can only engage a single unit at a time), which in this case makes the unit's special decrease by 1 (and adds a nerf to for brave attacks by reducing offensive special's damage by 8 if triggered while doing a brave attack, all to keep it from being a bit too broken I guess). And merges for the Emblem heroes affect... something? What do merges for them affect exactly?

     

    And I'm getting a headache trying to go over Marth's affects... It almost feels like we're getting freaking calculus equations at this point. And to think you're only given a whopping 30 seconds to go over ALL this sort of sh*t and cross reference everything all while doing a ton of calculations in a mode like SDS! 💦

  3. This feels like the rare sort of banner that makes you start to look forward to EOS. We're getting weapon descriptions that put Yu-Gi-Oh cards to shame on characters that we've already gotten(or even built up) over and over again making past (or even very recent) time spent feel all the more pointless. The power creep power teleporting is so crazy that it can make one just go, "What's the point?"; there was a time I looked forward to new units and what they'd bring, but now I just feel tired and burnt out.

  4. So from what I'm gathering, these new attuned skills can be used with exclusive weapons, but can't be used with an exclusive skill/assist/special? So to use it on Fallen Chrom would require removing Fate Unchanged, WT Clause would need to remove Deep Star (but can keep Playful Pinwheel), but a unit like Lucia doesn't need to remove anything since her weapon alone makes her. That seem right? If so, it limits the units that will want it a good bit (practically no Mythic/Legendary since their exclusive skills are what make them); some support units like dancers and units like Lucia that all come down to their weapon alone are the most viable.

    Now for the scary question... Does it affect Arena scoring and such?... Please don't...

    The second most recent being Heidr being a mythic who debuted on a new heroes banner. I always finish those right away since I know dang well that the odds of getting a new unit off a normal banner is way better than the odds of getting them on a legendary banner.

    33 Units done in seven months. That means I must be finishing an average of 4 or 5 units per month. Only half the rate that new heroes are added, meaning I'm falling ever further behind on completing the entire cast! lol

     

  6. How do you get the bane cards for adding banes to engage weapons? I've done Tempest Trials a dozen times and a few Relay trials and have yet to see a single one. Are they just extremely rare, or only get rewarded under certain conditions?

    And is it possible to raise the capacity of engage weapons beyond 1? Or is 1/1 the highest it ever gets? 

  7. Fomortiis may be way even worse than even Fallen Edelgarde was... I can't believe I'm saying that... Does that A skill activate if he dies during battle? If the closest ally within 4 spaces has ALREADY ended the current turn's action, does it affect the next closest foe or does it just not do anything? The answers to those questions will be what mainly determines just how much worse he may be.

    That was... certainly unexpected! lol Kind of catchy, but not the sort of theme one would usually expect of a FE game. 

    The big question I find myself wondering now is if that will be the theme that starts playing in the inevitable "New Heroes" Trailer for FEH when Engage characters get added... That would likely catch a lot of folks off guard! XD

  9. And a new batch of new and old has been done. Embla being the most notable. I think this is only the second time (after Ashera) that I completed a mythic (that is not on a "New Heroes" Banner) right on their debut; I got 11 of her and only 3 of Veronica and 1 of Nanna. It's not  very often that the new unit I really want stalks me! lol

    And I finally finished Ascended Fjorm thanks to Rearmed Robin being able to replicate all the copies of Hardy fighter I'd ever need; might have never finished Fjorm otherwise! lol

  10. Are the units that appear in Binding Worlds the same ones you have in slot 1 of team one just like the unit that displays in AR? So does that mean we can plot together to try and help each other get different specific (book 1-4) units that we've individually built up?

    If so, those of us that do plan to buy an Otherworld Bond should probably make a thread dedicated to showing off old units we've built up and talking about ones we'd like to find certain builds for (and exchange friend codes to do so). This is probably the closest we'll ever get to "trading" units. 

    The thing about it that stood out the most to me was the fact that forma units gotten this way will come with currently maxed out dragon flowers! Dragon Flower are by far the biggest barrier to me building up certain old units I'd like to bring up to date. As one example, after her refine and resplendit, Karla became one unit I really wanted to build up, but to do so I'd need freaking 2600 dragon flowers!!! Now I can look for a copy of her (with premium skills I haven't given her yet) and get a forma to merge her into that has max flowers from the get go! They should really update hall of forms to do that as well, then I'd be way more tempted to buy more Forma souls! 

    Too bad you can only buy one and only use one per Binding Worlds (so not using it will be a waste meaning you definitely want to find something you want!). Plenty of old units I'd like to "exchange". 

  11. That C skill of Embla’s feels like the single biggest mistake made by any particular skill thus far. It would be one thing if it had a condition (like only affecting slower units), only affected units in the same column/row, or just affected the closest unit(s), but nope, it just covers half the map with no condition. That just single handedly throws away two of the only three viable AR strategies (save tanking and super ally support) making Galeforce the only viable option left. Expect to see the return of cavalry lines with 2 of Embla behind them as the new norm everywhere in Light/Dark season. At this point, they either need to add yet another extra space to put structures at the bottom of the map, allow you to customize structures individually for every individual team you make, or introduce a level 2 Safety Fence with a much bigger AOE. 
    Save skills were the only thing that made armor units worth using, and just like that they’re even more useless now. Feels like having a huge chunk of your unit investment just instantly flushed down the toilet. As somebody that immediately +10ed both Halloween Duma and Rearmed Robin just because I like trying out save strategies, I’m not going to feel motivated to invest in such units any longer (which means way less money from me for them). They better hurry and introduce a counter to the affect of that C skill soon, be it more ways to inflict false start or some new “divine protection” bonus the negates all non-stat penalties on a unit, otherwise I might not only be spending way less but even consider quitting since having the game becoming nothing more than “sweep on turn 1 or lose” or “who hits with a nuke first wins” will make me bored out of my mind.

    And it seems clear from this that all re-armed heroes will be unobtainable after their debut banner just like the first one. (But now you can only spark once to make matters worse.) Does this means we're going to have a new hero banished to the void every month now? I really despise that... It is going to be a real pain to have an ever growing list of "can't be obtained outside of focus banners" units; they should have just gone the duo/harmonic route and made them exclusively seasonal units if that's the way they wanted them to be. 

  13. With brawling apparently becoming a staying weapon in the main games, I was wondering about if they might eventually decide to add fists/gauntlets as a colorless one range weapon. It's pretty late for that at this point, though. Still, it could always be possible... Buuuuuut, if they want to do that and keep the current weapons in a nice rectangular order, it means they'll have to introduce colored staff weapons with them! At least then there would be no more "incomplete" weapon categories in Pawn of Loki. lol

  14. I really hate where this is going... Duo Ephraim prior to being dropped in the 4 star special pool always bugged me with him being the one unit in the game that was impossible to get unless you were lucky enough to partake in a rare event featuring him. Now it looks like we're going to have an ENTIRE new category of hero that is going to end up suffering that fate! If that's the case, I hope these Rearmed Heroes rarely happen. Despite my long time habit of getting every unit of every banner as soon as they debut, it still really bugs me knowing there are units that are "unobtainable". If a unit isn't in the normal pool and also isn't a special/seasonal unit with scheduled reruns, then it needs to be part of some reoccurring event that you can plan for in advance like the legendary/mythic heroes are. No unit in the game should be stuck in limbo

    Going through all my sword units, I only counted 3 that are prf-less or have a prf weapon that is useless enough to want that new sword. Two of them being armored units and one being a unit I already gave the coral saber to. Hopefully I'll get lucky and Lif will go out of his way to prevent me from getting Shez over and over if I focus all my desire on wanting more copies of atk/spd oath 4. That way I can stock up on that weapon before it disappears indefinitely into the void. 

    And I can't help but wonder what the next "new" type of hero is going to be... They must think that they just have to introduce a new type of hero every single year for some reason. 

  15. So next week is going to be our first dose of Chaos season.

    So during Chaos season, does this accurately sum up how scoring works?:

    In regards to lift loss from losses, if you use whoever the current bonus defensive mythic is (Yune in this case) then you'll lose 80 points of lift if no opponents were taken out. And if you don't use the single current bonus defense mythic then you lose 100 points if no opponent is taken out. But In either case, you lose 20 less points from each opponent your team does take out.

    In regards to offense scoring, if you use one or more of the current bonus units then you'll get a score of 130, and if you use a team without a bonus unit then your score will be 110. And you lose 20 points for each ally that goes down in that battle.

    And merges have absolutely no affect on anything in regards to scoring.

    This all sound accurate? I'm so used to never having to worry about losing more than 20 points of lift per day, along with always scoring 220 from every battle (since I have all the mythics at +10 lol) that this drastic scoring difference is going to feel like a whole different mode.

  16. And now I just finished Brave Marth with his latest rerun. I'm debating giving him Vital Astra since that would add damage reduction at the cost of just a couple points of damage and he tends to be paired with Ashera and thus doesn't need his own self imposed buffs. Maybe speed smoke with an Infantry Pulse ally could be another option.

    I decided to merge my main Ike onto the Forma Ike I got not too long ago. Now he has every unity skill so far. Soon he'll likely have def/res unity as well. Combining that with duo Chrom's Grand Strategy and plenty of debuffs will make a unit that just can't die. lol

  17. Apparently there is some sort of glitch or exploit that enables a person to force you to disconnect and even if you immediately resume it says that your opponent left and the battle is a loss? This most definitely isn't some random connection problem on my part; every single time it happens it is when somebody I'm against in is put in a clear losing situation. It first happened in Summoner Duels R a few days back when one guy with a bunch of +10 duo units wound up at a major disadvantage. I assumed at the time maybe something wet wrong with the connection at an unlucky moment (even though I immediately resumed and he was already gone which seemed way too fast for the count down to have ended), but that is suddenly becoming a common occurrence in normal Summoner Duels now. Just a few minutes ago I was up against somebody relying on Valentian Palla vantage shenanigans but I managed to take out that unit and then just a few seconds later the forced disconnect happened (from which I immediately resumed and he was already gone thus making a loss). This is like the sixth time in the last few days that suddenly happened when an opponent was about to lose.

    If people are using this exploit to unfairly force losses in normal SD it is bad enough, but if they are even abusing it in SDR then it is even worse because of the stupid loss limit. They need to either make it so disconnecting doesn't count as a loss, or remove the stupid loss limit.

  19. So I took a look at the schedule for when the mythic/legendary heroes return to help me plan out when and what to go for and I was suddenly shocked! Thorr, a brand new unit, won't be returning until freaking April?! That's half a freaking year! WAAAAAY too long! I can't wait half a year to finish an offensive mythic!

    Soooooo, there was only one thing to do...
