  1. How do people give Ryoma less than a 7? Anyways Hana - Amazing offensive spread of 34/36, and some decent Res, and HP after a obtaining a refined weapon. She can be built as a speedy, but squishy sword unit who also hits hard, which is always valuable. She's going to get outclassed by a lot of the newer swords that are coming out, but that doesn't mean she is of no value. I give her a 7/10 for combat. In terms of skills and skill inheritance, she has armorslayer which can be useful for her, and if you build her up to +10 and give her DC she's going to have a lot of Spd and Res, but not a lot of Defense against armors, so armorslayer helps take care of that to some degree. Life and Death 3 can be found on her, but it's locked at 5 stars. The only other person who spawns in 4 star rarity is Sothe, who can give it to you in 4* rarity unlike Hana, however, Sothe is super rare. I give Hana a 7/10 for Skill Inheritance. 7/10 Laslow - He has a rather interesting and mixed statline. He can be built somewhat speedy (in the sense that he can mitigate follow-ups from mediocre fast units) and tanky, or just tanky and hard hitting. He has a decent 35 Atk, and some good HP so it's not like he doesn't have combat potential, it's just that he needs to built with a lot of expensive things to start being useful. He's like a Donnel stat-wise, but with less BST. 6/10 for combat. Skill inheritance: he has Axebreaker 3 at 4* rarity. That's it. Not very helpful. 4/10 5.8/10 ~> 6/10

  3. I'm still waiting for that +Atk/-Res 4* Ares to show up so I can build immediately build a +2 Ares with DC and Vantage and QR Seal. I have a 5* +5 Karel who's currently -HP/+Atk with Life and Death 3, Vengeance, NB (Eff+). I want a +Spd/-Def one someday so I can let him take more damage to fire back with Vengeance, and he needs the Spd for more follow-ups. He currently has 45 Spd base only, and 49 HP, but also a decent 56 Atk so not that bad as of now.

  5. The rumors made the game sound was if it were more heavily based around vampires, and that clearly isn't the case as we can see. It never made any sense to begin with. I'm not sure about how that relates to the new FE. Does that mean they still have time to scrap everything and startover?

  7. After watching the trailer I'm a little bit surprised. There are somethings I like, somethings I was hoping would change that took the opposite turn, and some new changes that I'm not to sure how I feel about. What I liked is the new map design. I was pretty much expecting this because the Switch is a powerful system unlike the 3DS, and it should be able to handle things like full 3-D Map designs. I also love the new battle animations where you can actually see the other soldiers to the side, making it feel like a more natural battle, where everything and everyone are close together usually. I think the maps may even be as big as Genealogy, though I'm not sure. I don't think you can tell that from the trailer. The big thing that I didn't like that they have stuck with is the anime RPGness from Echoes. They didn't go opposite of Echoes, and instead went full front on it, and it just ends up looking like a bunch of other anime RPG games I've seen plenty of times, that I never really liked aesthetically. I was really hoping they wouldn't go in this direction, and I didn't even think it would happen, but they just went full frontal for that type of look. The class designs look very fantasy like as usual, and I was hoping they would make things realistic, but also cool at the same time (which yes is totally possible), but I guess Nintendo didn't see that as fit for this game. Some of the new changes that I'm unsure about are the new Magic, Combat Arts, and Formation options in the combat menu. I'm trying to figure exactly what each one is going to be, and I think they took the concept from Echoes. I, however, did not want an Echoes combat mechanics copy in this game because I thought it's too unnecessarily big. I liked the mores simplistic choose what you want and attack, skills, etc. Combat arts is just unnecessarily complicating what makes Fire Emblem a very fun and amazing game. Being limited is what FE a game of chess. Though I'm not sure completely about the combat system so my overall opinion on it is not negative either. Edit: Oh and it looks like that blue haired dude might be the new MU. F*ck that.
  8. Dismounting is not only an awesome mechanic, but it's just straight up realistic and adds to the utility of Cavalry classes. I'm all for it.

  10. My expectations are low, so I hope the E3 announcement, if there is one for FE 16 will be IS' first step towards change with the series, that way I can be surprised and interested.
  11. Mystletainn drinks plenty. Turns out it's called the demon sword for a reason, and Ares becomes a violent blood thirsty crit demon. That and/or Ares somehow hasn't forgiven Seliph, and back stabs him towards the end, and tries to kill him.
  12. I just think the possibility of three Tyrfing's is overkill. I guess I shouldn't automatically assume there will be a legendary Seliph. If there is a Tyrfing refine I'd prefer it to offer a Sturdy Stance 2. I don't think Res will help Seliph that much when he's not getting help from Divine Tyrfing. I like your idea of an increased Defense Special proc as the refine. I completely forgot about Defense Specials until you mentioned it.
  13. Finn deserves a proper specialized Brave Lance eventually. Maybe they should just let him be able to refine his Brave Lance+ like other normal weapons, and for the special they can give him the EP counter? lol Julia's Naga could be upped to a Def/Res+4 when under attack. For a special effect it could be something like "Grants HP+3. If foe is a magic user grants Atk+6 during combat." As for regular Tyrfing, I feel like if they make a Legendary Seliph whatever his Tyrfing is should be the immediate refine upgrade for Seliph's regular Tyrfing or just be inheritable on regular Seliph. I don't think we need a a separate refine for regular Tyrfing especially when we have Divine Tyrfing already. Shining Tyring should be something like this "Grants Spd/Res+2. Once per turn, if unit's HP ≥ 10, and foe would reduce unit's HP to 0, unit survives with 1 HP."
  14. I put Mysterious Mask on Cam... erm. I mean it's Sirius yay! I gave Enigmatic Mask to Reinhardt. Seashell to my pretty Ishtar. Feh Doll to Nino because Nino is a kid. And Bunny Hat is going to... Ares. I kind of want them to put Auras in the game as accessories because that would be pretty cool.

  17. 1: I use it for units that are functional and leveled up and built well. 2: Units that are fully level have some skills and can perform certain niches despite being underdeveloped. 3: Units that are leveled to the max, but still require a lot more development and sometimes any skills before they can become operational. 4. Units that need to be leveled up and will be used. 5. Units I don't know what to do with. 6. N/A 7. Fodder 8. Askr Trio

I was thinking that to make Excalibur actually helpful to Merric that not only would it be effective against fliers, but it would also grant Merric a special cooldown charge+1 when initiating an attack. The special refine will give him either a Darting Blow 3 or Agile Stance 3. Since Merric has pretty average to disappointingly low Atk/Def/Res just giving him a charge builder should help him with specials, and the Darting Blow 3 will help him shine with his mediocre Spd when initiating, or an Agile Stance 3 can help him avoid follow-up attacks for tanking. I'm so late.

  20. Savage Blow already does like 7 damage when you initiate. It's like a really weak personal skill for Duma to have. I think if it was 7 after combat then it would make more sense otherwise Savage Blow becomes like a worthy contender since your foes are usually never jumbled together when you're under attack, so you can probably get most of the damage usually by initiating. Also I like the emphasis on HP rather than Defenses. Vengeance can be very effective sometimes if the unit's HP is high enough, but all his other stats are relatively low. Like 40 damage = +20 with Vengeance.
  21. I wish this could come while the banner with Zelgius is still up, but I guess that's what the point of saving up is. Speaking of which, I need to save up orbs so this is really good timing.
  22. It's not that hard to reach 55 Atk, but only depending on the unit. If you have very high atk lancers like Effie, then of course it will be painful, but if you're expecting a lot of Res at that tier that's obviously made to specifically fight against mages, then why even use a mage at all especially one of the same color. That's literally a counter built against a specific type of unit, you're not expected to actually attack if that's the case. It's such flawed reasoning to put down Ishtar because of it, especially when she's one of the fastest and hardest hitting mages in the game.
  23. @silveraura25: How often do you see a DC lance user that can survive 58-61 dmg x 2 and a Moonbow/Luna while being to retaliate with an immediate 55 Atk as well? She doesn't win only matcheps with color advantage, she kills a lot of blue units as well, especially ones that can not DC, which is still quite a lot. Besides I was only saying +10 because I just like Ishtar a lot, not because I don't think she's not good for fodder considering she's the only one with Odd Atk Wave 3, and she even comes with Swift Sparrow 2.
