  1. Hehehehe... In order: - Olwen: +HP/-Res - Mia: +Res/-Spd (It'll get better I promise) - Ishtar: +Spd/-Atk (So damn close to perfect) - Lene: +Res/-Spd (Still not better than my other Lene, but wait for it...) - Nehenee: +Atk/-HP (This is amazing, but still not the best part of this summoning.) - Ishtar: +Atk/-Def (F*CK YES!!!) - Tailtiu: +HP/-Res (Guess Ishtar's aunt wanted to visit as well) - Ishtar: +Atk/-Def (My FEH life is complete) 192 orbs got me +3 Ishtar. I'm perfectly happy with the results, even if I didn't get an Ares to fix up with my other two bad nature Aress. I'm satisfied. I might even have been able to pull another Ishtar in the very last batch with the 9 orbs I had left. It was a decision between choosing 2 Red Orbs and 2 Blue Orbs, and I went for all Red.
  2. I feel like flaws can be good for the story if used right. Corrin's flaw is overtrusting people, but he never learns from his mistakes in the story, in a good story flaws like this would get you killed and betrayed eventually. The other characters also acknowledge Corrin's flaw, but do nothing about it and just accept it. This shouldn't be because it makes the characters like Ryoma and Xander who's personalities are a no-lose type suddenly become willing to accept something that can lead to their defeat or of losing their little brother who they care so much about. It's an example of using flaws of a main character in an unrealistic and unmeaningful way. A main character can have flaws, but it should actually have serious consequences for them. A good example in Fire Emblem of this would be Sigurd. Sigurd is loyal down to the bone, and his big sense of justice causes him to take fights and battles he can't win, and eventually he ends up betrayed and killed.
  3. A thanks to the both of you for providing input to my question. I do understand that Atk can be very useful on Ares, but now reconsidering all my experience with trading Atk for Spd on certain units, I think I'm probably going with -Atk/+Res just because that 30 Spd can preventing and gaining follow-ups against somewhat slow, but insanely bulky units. I'm probably going to be spending money to try and get another Ares and Ishtar too, so who knows maybe I'll get lucky there.
  4. I got the same bullshit I had with my first two Siegberts, now with my Ares. One is +Res/-Atk and the other is +Res/-Spd. I want to use him, and merge him, and I would've loved to use DC + Vantage with him, but this could easily be a waste of my last LA!Hector. I don't know which one is better overall even if I'm not using DC+Vantage yet. Which one should I go with with the merge?
  5. Surprised that many people like Elise. I chose Ryoma for the Hosidan side, Xander for the Nohrian side, and Azura for the Vallite side. Ryoma because I just think he's cool, and a very good unit. You know what I'll give it to Takumi, he's actually reasonably skeptical. Xander because I like some of ideas he say's, he's Camus reborn and looks cool. Azura because how can you vote for Corrin over her?
  6. These B skills are getting to creative now. Def/Res Link 3 could be amazing on rally bots and spur bots like Ephraim and B!Lucina. Tharja's one is kinda weird though. Never expected a B Skill to do these kinds of things with repositoning skills. Oh yeah and almost forgot to mention. Why the fuck is Sanaki a bride?
  7. I would like heroes with their own job classes. For example, Merchant Oboro, Doctor Midori, or Librarian Nino...etc.
  8. I mean with Slaying Edge+ it would've been fine especially since the bigger heal makes up for more of the damage taken, plus you still get the kill. Without a Special if Soleil is attacked, she may not get a lot of kills due to not having a Special. However, Quickened Pulse and Infantry Pulse could make up for this in the first round of combat. There's also the possibility of Wrath giving a cooldown count-1 at the start of the turn, if her HP is at 31/42 or lower, and while she does get 39 Def, that's a very low amount of HP to tank hits from red units that do more than one hit, however that's only if the enemy can get a follow-up attack on Soleil (at 31 HP a sword user will only need two 55 Atk hits to kill Soleil, if Soleil gets the +11 Def that is). So in short, yeah it probably can be a good option.
  9. Added Safeguard+ build. Hopefully I wrote the best builds that can be made with it.
  10. People are still gonna thinks it's dweeby for being a fantasy videogame that doesn't have 3-D senseless hack and slash fighting, but I don't really care what they think at all. I'm gonna state what I think is meant by the type of usage of "anime" here. I guess it's about having a main protagonist that's very cheerful, flawless and the plot bends for them (that's just a minor piece of being "anime" though). It also typically has a variety of characters constricted into certain personas and archetypes (though archetypes in FE aren't the traditional archetypes, they're more of Fire Emblem's own character archetypes). It's also the way a story just casually tries to include every generic and typical aspect of whatever genre of fiction it is. It's also usually too cheerful during cheerful moments, and really drastically sad during tragic moments that the sadness comes across as meaningless. If we go by this definition, then I would say Awakening is the most "anime" (though not anywhere close to straight up "anime"), and Fates is just bad writing all across the board. Fates doesn't even deserve "anime" status. That's pretty much all I can claim for now.
  11. I meant in certain scenarios specifically in the Arena in which you may get the follow-up attack, but can not generate enough Atk power to kill, a Bladetome may give you more Atk with the follow-up attack to get the kill. Whereas Mjolnir may get the follow-up attack when a Bladetome can't. Though generally they do about the same, I agree. Especially considering Mjolnir's Special Cooldown count -1 with Quickened Pulse gives off the best power even if it is only for the first attack. I'll add the disclaimer.
  12. Gives her consistent Atk power over Spd, they'll both get different kills in the Arena. Plus it works so well with her C skill. She has the best offensive stats for a mage other than Linde in terms of Atk and Spd. Plus Mjolnir helps her reach some dominating Spd, and she even gets a Cooldown help..
  13. Well I suppose it could be useful against annoying Wary Fighter and the Breath/Vengeful Fighter lancers such as Hardin and Effie as well. Lancebreaker 3 only gave her 1 more kill in Mass Duel Simulator, most likely against Effie. Also Fury 3 and Spd boon with Def bane also didn't change the results. She just can't kill certain greens.
  14. Most lancers who can Distant Counter in one way or another usually can't generate enough Spd to survive a +Spd Ishtar attacking them though, if you fail to double a lancer, and it can't counter against you then a simple reposition and reattack is usually a pretty common and available choice. Breaker skills also just limit her best talent, which is securing doubles, while Desperation 3 embraces it allowing her to secure kills on Distant Counter Greens, Blues and also ranged foes, that can't or don't run Wary Fighter by not getting hit by them. You can also get Ishtar into Desperation easily by using Fury 3 and attacking any red or blue DC unit, which are pretty common in the Arena nowadays.
  15. That's a lot of sacrifice for a unit that already gets so many follow-ups, Desperation provides much more utility, and not many people run B. Tome Breaker anyways so. Seems kind of overdoing it to put a breaker on. If we're taking about high merge Arenas vs no-merge Ishtar then I guess it could be worth it, but the fastest units are typically red units who may even get one-shotted by Ishtar if she has her Atk buffed.
  16. I was thinking when I put down Draconic Aura what was that other "common" 3 turn cooldown that makes more sense if you don't have that much Atk, and I just gave up trying to remember it that I put down Draconic Aura. You're definitely right, Luna makes more sense with Ishtar and most speedier mages because they generally have lower Atk.
  17. Ishtar, Thunder Goddess "I mean no disrespect... but do understand I take great pride in being a warlock of Freege." Description: Ishtar is called the Goddess of Thunder for a reason. Sporting possibly one of the best 'Thunder Tomes' in the game and the best offensive stats for a mage, Ishtar with her Mjolnir will not only gain a Special cooldown count-1 (something which no common tome does), but will also gain the effect of Darting Blow 3, giving her some insane Player Phase power. Her base kit is also great as it comes with Swift Sparrow 2 and Odd Atk Wave 3, both of which better increase her performance right out of the Breidablik. Stats:HP 34/38/41Atk 31/34/37Spd 33/36/39Def 13/17/20Res 23/26/30BST: 150~152 Skills: Weapon: Thoron > Mjölnir (Blue) Special: Moonbow Support: None A Skill: Darting Blow 1 > Swift Sparrow 2 B Skill: Vantage 3 C Skill: Odd Atk Wave 3 Movement: Infantry - Can run skills that Cavs and Fliers can not run such as Infantry Pulse. Holy Tordo Blood A Storm of Swords
  18. Oh how lovely people are getting Ares' with good IVs. I spent 50 bucks and tried to get as many orbs as possible, and even with all the orbs that I brought and farmed from Squad Assaults and Chain Challenges all I got was a fourth 5* Soleil (Soleil just loves showing up after I wrote her Analysis throughout all my banners), and a +HP/-Def Olwen (sigh). I was such an Ishtar supporter and everything, but nooo got a keep spending more money for her.
  19. 64 Orbs and all I got was a stupid fooking -HP/+Spd L' Arachel, but no Ishtar or Ares. I won't forgive this game if I can't even one of them on my main account. On my alt acc (which I barely use anymore) I got -HP/+Def Ares, but that's pretty trash, and I got it out of a randomly lucky yolo-summon is the worst part of it all. Damn you IS I'm like one of the few thousand that voted for Ishtar, gimme her pleaseee
  20. Ishtar - I don't know how to improve her other than giving her more screen time, and showing more interactions between her and members of her family. Finn - Finn is a very useful unit both in Genealogy and Thracia, but the fact that he survives so long makes me wish they had given him more renown in terms of his combat abilities. Similar to Ser Barristan Selmy. Robin - I would make Robin a bit more serious, realistic, logical and skeptical especially towards Chrom because Chrom's strategy is just nuts sometimes. Looking back he actually always tried to do that, so Robin gets credit where credit is due. I would also make Chrom more dependent on Robin since Chrom doesn't really seem like a battle strategist. Robin to Chrom should be like Athelstan to Ragnar (from Vikings). Xander - I would give him more big talks about his "justice is an illusion" ideology because that shows the depth of his character and his intellect something that can actually be salvaged, unlike from other Fates' characters.
  21. You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become to villain. Powers? Yes. Hero? Sure, why not, but if we look at greatest figures with the greatest power throughout history, most of them were not heroes because they had to do terrible things or make one side lose to accomplish great things for either them or their people. Hard not to abuse power when it's almost incomparable power.
  22. While I do think cavalry is not as common as it used to be in Tier 19-20, I know some people and I still get quite a lot of cavalry folk, and while I do think Armorsmasher could be more useful since Soleil can just straight up kill a lot of Cavs anyways, I think it can be useful in certain scenarios to just straight up murder them before they get buffed and/or overrun your other units.
  23. I as going to add it with Armorsmasher initially, but Vikings (show) was getting intense on the other tab xP. Added it now, I may have to come back as well for Safeguard+.
