A bow wielding youth (15 or so) who's the bastard son of a minor noble, who along with his elder brothers is at a war. He then receives word that they've died during the war along with the king, but to his surprise his cousin returns with the neighbouring noble's army to steal his family's land. His sister went missing after a ambush leaving him to handle the situation. He'd be sweet and innocent, but grows more mature as a few years pass in the game.

Let's not start a children debate here. I hope that the avatar would offer support to the other characters, rather than leading them, a sort of friend you can talk to about their problems. He'd be a soldier under the lord's army just like the rest of the non-necessary units (like in Awakening, where you never had to deploy Robin, except in chapters surrounding him). For some reason I want the central characters (the lord and avatar) to wield unorthodox weapons meant for main characters like an axe, spear or bow. If daggers are coming back, then even that.

I think rather than being a center piece, like in Awakening and Fates, being a observer of the events taking place sounds much more interesting. Not like FE7 tactician, but participating in fights. A chronicler isn't a bad idea. And no children please, just bonus stats from being near each other is good enough.

I'd really like to see a youthful lord from a ruined family trying to gain favor from more powerful ones. He'd be hardworking yet naive, but grows up as the game progresses. But what I want most is a lord who uses bows.

Awakening came out in 2012, Fates in 2015, switch title for 2018. Yep, new story. I want the new lord to wield a bow and have youthful appearance, sorta like Kliff, but more vibrant. Instead of a Avatar who's the center of the plot, they could be just a normal person, who grows alongside the lord. Hopefully not a Chris clone.

Well, the only thing that can cure Faye's ending is a doujin. But jokes aside, she was probably rushed. Hoping it's not the same for Berkut and his fiancee. Who here thinks the next fire emblem may be either a another remake of a past fe or a sequel to echoes, perhaps one to both new mystery and echoes, which could deal with Grima, because the secret boss of echoes reminded me of Xemnas in Kingdom Hearts remix who ended up being the antagonist of kingdom hearts 2
