This next one will be Soleil because we definitely need another sword infantry Resplendent from Fates. Oops, that was just the copium talking there. It'll actually be someone completely inexplicable like Karel instead because we're due for a Resplendent that barely anyone wants.

Lol, lmao even at those Merged Ordeals. The end of month 8% banners have been really struggling for some time now, so of course IS goes with a band-aid fix instead of a more drastic one. And as a bonus, they very transparently showed their greed to all of us. If anything, IS is actually far too late with this idea. Loki isn't even top five among the female FEH OCs these days and barely made it into the top 100 (at 99th) of CYL8. In CYL8, she got outranked by (in order) Sharena, Freyja, Fjorm, Nidhoggr, Nerthuz, Seidr, Hraesvelgr and Kvasir.

Yeah, I just straight up had to use Nabata Igrene and Louise on my Arena team last week just to deal with any Emblem Ikes. AoE Specials are more or less the only consistent way of dealing with him.

Honestly, I'd argue that 3H isn't in that great of a spot either when all three Dorotheas are seasonal-only (and none of them are 4 star focus ones either). And while Plegia and Winter do have Prf weapons, they do not have a Prf dance skill so they aren't quite equal to the more recent alts of Azura and Ninian.

July 20th, 2018. That was the last FEH gave Olivia an alt. That was so long ago that Frederick now has many alts (2) as Olivia. It sucks, but Fates and Blazing Blade really benefited from having a dancer among its main characters. Pretty much ever other title in FEH besides FEH itself has a pretty bad and/or limited selection of dancers / refreshers.

Hey IS, can you stop giving us red demotes? The 3-4 star red pool is bloated to point where I still haven’t gotten Fee (or Kagetsu, but at least he is more recent) at all. The day where I never have to see the likes of Draug or Raigh again can’t arrive soon enough.

Yukimura over Scarlet or Shura, and as a 5 star at that, is certainly a choice. I'm not calling it a bad one necessarily, just one I certainly didn't see coming. I'm guessing this means Scarlet is going to end up debuting on a Fallen Heroes banner, possibly the one coming up?

I mean, they did exactly that with Eyvel's adopted daughter. Fallen Mareeta released in May 2019, and was followed by regular Mareeta in December 2019. They could easily do the same with Brigid / Eyvel since Genealogy's next New Heroes banner likely isn't dropping any sooner than October. Oh yeah, and Emmeryn (who just got a kid alt) happens to have the same JP voice actress (Akemi Okamura, who also voices Henry and Cornelia) as Brigid / Eyvel. That of course doesn't guarantee that Brigid / Eyvel gets something this year, but it does increase the odds a bit.

It’s just a catch-all type of term I use instead of having to say Ascended / Rearmed / Attuned Hero every time.

Azura hasn’t been used at all since January 2022, so I could easily see her being the next Fates Asset Hero. Meanwhile, Ryoma and Sakura both haven’t gotten standalone alts since 2019. Oh, and I suppose it’s worth noting that Ryoma has the same JP voice actor as Lyon. Though if Ryoma does show up, I’d imagine he’d probably just be a secondary Asset Hero (like what Ascended Merric was to Attuned Caeda).

E!Veyle is basically a lock for this banner, and probably as our second Rearmed Dagger unit with Arcane Misericorde. Beyond that, the first lineup Jotari suggested is probably about what we’re going to actually get. We could get a Shez instead of M!Byleth and I wouldn’t be surprised if Brigid (as Draco) gets in as a Deadlord rep.

Oops, this Duo Hero might be my fault because I called it in the pre-banner discussion thread. Otherwise, yep this sure is a typical boring kid banner with the usual copious amounts of power creep. Loki really needs to get Thorr a new hobby. This really should’ve been a one time theme because the unit choices (both the actual characters and their unit types) are always so damn predictable. All it had to offer (besides power creep) was novelty, and that is obviously long gone by this point.

This is also the third time Bernie lost in Round 1. There was that hoodie VG in 2020, where Bernie lost to Velouria in Round 1. Then two VGs later in the December 2020 one, Winter Bernie lost to Winter Fae in Round 1. Basically, we should expect CYL Bernie to immediately lose in the CYL8 VG because she appears to be as snake bitten in VGs as her house leader is.

Watch them be assholes and give us Duo F!Robin & Chrom. I really wouldn’t put that idea past IS. Given that this the kid banner, Frederick should at least get a Prf weapon regardless of where he ends up. It should be a good Prf weapon too with how good most of the recent GHBs (aka any of them dating back to Cyril who aren’t Castor or Marla) have been.

Oops, then let me amend what I said to "it just can't be done twice" because it's pretty clear at this point that IS regrets making that banner. After all, SoV has gotten a grand total of......six seasonal units (and that includes Hatari Deen and Spring Luthier, who are TT units) since the 2020 Day of Devotion banner.

We have the silhouettes and they are almost certainly Lissa (left silhouette) and Frederick (right silhouette). SoV Kids are just never gonna happen, folks. IS isn't capable of giving an entire Special Heroes banner to Valentia. It just can't be done.

Oh boy, I can't wait for Chloe & Cordelia to get upset by Mirabilis. Well, assuming they get past cuboon's Milk Truck (Spring Edition) first. If anything, I'd actually prefer to lose to Karla & Freyja if Chloe & Cordelia have to lose.

Oh wow, they skipped Eremiya to the surprise of......literally nobody. The quality of Fallen Julia's refine will determine whether or not I pull the trigger on claiming the Forma Fallen Julia. Admittedly, getting her to +5 (currently at +4) merges was already tempting enough.

They’re not supposed to do that. Resplendent Lucina is apparently what you get when you tell Himukai Yuji to draw a character who isn’t already a child (or who looks like one). That banner debuted around the end of FEH’s launch month (Feb 2017). The first ever seasonal banner didn’t debut until the end of Mar 2017.

They’re just wolves, but I at least would still count them as Beast units.

I’m expecting it to be Three Houses because I’m a pessimist but also Three Houses will turn five years old this year. This banner doesn’t always go with a game that’s about to have an anniversary, but FE7 got this theme last year right before its 20th anniversary. Oh and I know this is crazy coming from me, but I actually want this banner to go to Fodlan. I really do not need to be tempted by Kid Celica right now. FEH already gave us a toddler Lucina. For some reason, they called it Resplendent Lucina though.

After thinking on it, I suppose I was technically incorrect in saying Engage has no Beast units. I should’ve specified that Engage has no playable Beast units since the DLC added an enemy-only Wolf class.

For those who haven’t played Engage, “Laguz Friend” was the name of that skill there (in the English version) as well. It also had nothing to with Beast units in Engage since Engage has no Beast units. I have no clue why the localization gave it that name as its original, Japanese name is apparently “Immovable”. Cipher did use Ike’s Lord design from Path of Radiance.
