  1. Hi guys, so I've had a thought. There's a Create a Hero CYL edition thread, a general create a hero thread so why don't we have a Create a Legendary Hero thread? It can be anyone you want! Even characters from other franchises, existing ones in FE or your own characters. I'll give you an example of mine!

    Title:

    Follower of Yune:

    Micaiah

    Element: Water

Effective against armored and cavalry. All cavalry and armored foes
in cardinal directions with SPD 1 or more lower than unit are prevented
from moving more than 1 space through their next actions. Grants HP/Res+2.

    A Slot:

    Swift Strike 2

    B Slot:

For this, she would be wearing her promoted Light Priestess outfit in Radiant Dawn. I'd love to hear your ideas! Yune's Voice is essentially Ice Mirror + Miracle. I hope that isn't too OP.

Nice, glad to see someone liked the Robins/Corrins. I like the idea of a flying bow-user, and Anankos' Might sounds horrifying.

Yeah, I made it cause I wanted hexing rod's effect to be added.  What do you think of female Corrin's CYL kit overall? as you can see, I like abilities that compare the unit's stat to the foe's. I want Phantom Speed to be a viable seal and less niche and more so a common thing for people to use.

Male and female Robins and Corrins. User-submitted Robins and Corrins for us to vote on, a male and female of each. Name, class, weapon and appearance would be up to the submitter, stats, weapon stats and skills would be up to the developers.

So I'll make up a few of my own, I'll include skills though, despite what I said.

Ruich, fem Robin, Swordmaster. Levin sword with DC built in. 13 mt, special cooldown -1. A skill, tactics, if HP> 50% atk will target the lower stat between def and res. C skill, fortify(?) spectrum, boosts adjacent allies atk/spd/def/res by 2 at the beginning of the turn. Special, Growing Thunder.

Sable, male Robin, Griffon Rider. Vengeance axe, 16 mt, defiant atk 3 built in. A skill, Sharp fury, raises atk and spd by 5, user takes 5 damage after combat. B skill Desperation. Special, Revenge, 5 CD, adds 100% of damage to atk.

Haruka, fem Corrin, Ninja/Master Ninja. Chakram, 12 mt, CC built in, spd+2, -5 def and res debuff. A skill, Sneak Attack, gains color advantage when initiating combat. At lv 3, its probably the equivalent of TA 2. Cancel Affinity does work against it. B skill, Brash Counter, when attacked and able to counterattack at HP<50%, gains one extra attack. Special, Moonbow.

Luther, male Corrin, Malig Knight. Moonlight, blue tome, mt 15, restores 8HP after combat. B skill, Capture, after initiating combat, opponent is placed in the opposite space, assuming terrain will allow it. C skill, Norhian Trust, adjacent allies gain special charge +1 at the start of the turn. Special, Galeforce.

These characters are probably broken, I don't fully understand this game sometimes.

User submitted Corrins/Robins would be awesome! They should seriously do that. That'd be an awesome event.

I like these Corrins/Robins especially the Malig Knight Corrin with his Nohrian Trust. Capture sounds interesting, and Sneak Attack needs to be added (I have a similar skill called Cat Mirage for my Halloween Ben Tennyson that I plan on posting in the Create a Hero thread)

  5. @Nightmayre If I'm gonna be honest with you, yes this version of Ben is OOC. He comes from my fanfiction where he has a little brother (my self insert), and at one point he unlocks a sword ability through his Omnitrix when he was fighting against Witches in their murder riddle game. That is why he has a sword, and I understand why you would think Ben wouldn't fit in the overall world of FE simply because of the technology he is using. But we have Kiran who's essentially from our world, and uses Guns to summon Heroes (I understand Bredablik is from Zenith, but you know what I mean.) Looking back, some of the skills are a bit OP but I think I still want to keep the built in Magic Counter, I don't want it to be OP. And you're right, Omnisword's effect is too much. I'm going to rework his skills. In terms of the art, I think the art is fine maybe it's the attack art that's throwing you off? I wanted to see how Ben would look if he were in Heroes that's why I decided to commish an artist. Fortify Soldiers sounds a lot better than Fortify Swords.

@Usana A green dragon version of Ben would have been cool to see, why didn't I think of that. But I feel like Ben would choose a sword instead of being a dragon, I feel like he would prefer aliens over dragons anyway.  The reason why I created that skill was because there are shit ton of red swords and I wanted Swords to be able to tank Reinhardt with the Def/Res +6. I suppose I should make Ben's atk stat 38 or 37, would that be better? The reason why his ATK is so high is because I want to make up for his shit def and average RES. It makes sense for him to have low DEF considering that he's a scrawny 10 year old kid.

  6. Hey guys, I'm going to make a new hero. And I actually have the art of this Hero to share with you guys, I commissioned an artist to draw them of course I will credit them, the art was done by moofinkitty she has a deviantart account.

    Ben Tennyson:

    Type: Red Sword

    Weapon: Omnisword

    Mt: 16

    Effect:

Grants Spd/Res+4. If in combat against foe with magic, staff, or dragonstone unit inflicts half the damage back to the enemy when attacked.

    B Slot:

    Vantage 3

    C Slot:

    Fortify Swords:

Grants adjacent sword allies Res/Def+6 through their next actions.

    HP: 35

    Atk: 39 (Base Atk)

    Def:16

    Res:24

Spd: 37 (Without the Spd/Res+4 built in skill)

What do you guys think of the art? I'm gonna commission her in the future. If you want to contact her for a commission you can talk to her on dA.

They had better listen to these complaints. There were so many ways that they could've done this that would've been perfectly fine, and they chose none of them. I wonder if they'll change things before it even starts if they get enough complaints.

Hopefully, they'll give us a free Ayra if enough people complain.

  8. 1 hour ago, Othin said:

I like this idea. Seems a lot more relevant than Phantom Spd, and Arvis using Phantom Res with Valflame and Spd Ploy would be wonderfully evil.

Phantom Spd is becoming more viable now with Ayra's weapon effect, Phantom Spd is probably my favorite seal in the game lol  But Phantom Res sounds pretty interesting though, I could see that happening.

  9. On 10/15/2017 at 7:24 PM, Glennstavos said:

I'm hoping for Close Def seal from the next TT. Now that Sigurd is bringing the skill permanently into the summoning pool, I think that's a sign they're okay with it being mass distributed to units for free just like Distant Def which was never locked to a seasonal unit. As for the other, 20000 point seal, I dunno. They finished distributing the stat + 1 seals already. I'd love to see them give us a Renewal seal because it's a totally self-aware reward. However, now that we have the ability to upgrade seals, it might be deemed just a bit too powerful and they'll at least wait for an opportunity to make that a 40000 point reward some day down the road. So those are my guesses for the 40000 point seal: Renewal or Close Def.

I could see Close Def as a seal, it would be broken as hell though. The Distant Defense 3 seal is already as broken as it is, stacking with Distant Defense 3 making it Distant Defense 6.  A Renewal seal would be very useful, it would stack with the already existing Renewal 3 and the Falchions. Restoring 30 HP in total, that would be OP and I actually really want that lol

  10. 3 minutes ago, Othin said:

When the first TT was released, people speculated that every TT reward character would be an alternate version of an existing character, that every TT reward character would only have a weapon and no other skills, and that every TT final boss would be an antagonist character. None of those things turned out to be true.

With only one personal special in the game so far, there is absolutely no reason to think they're restricting those specials to certain methods of getting characters.

If that really is all the case, that's a convincing reason to think Ayra is the TT unit, but it makes the question of where Arden fits in even more confusing. Especially if he seems to be 5* exclusive.

Unless Arden is a 2nd reward in TT, or 2nd GHB but even from that standpoint Arden as a GHB wouldn't make sense since he works with Sigurd's army and is not a villain. Then again we have Female Robin who was a GHB unit, but she's generally associated with Grima and Male Robin is the canon gender for Awakening. I do believe that Ayra will be the TT unit. Now that we know a Genealogy TT is on the way (can't wait to get more orbs) I'm betting that Julia will be the final boss of the TT,  and the 40% Bonus units will be: Sigurd, Deirdre, Julia, and Seliph and the 20% bonus units will be: Lachesis, Eldigan, Ayra, and Arvis.

  11. I will be creating another hero. And that is Micaiah from Radiant Dawn!

    The Silver Haired Maiden:

    Micaiah

    Orb Affinity: Blue Tome

    Weapon: Thani

    Mt:14

Effect: Effective against cavalry and armored.

    Assist: Sacrifice

Effect: Heals adjacent ally 20 HP, if unit has 100% HP while using this skill ally is granted Atk/Res+4. Unit loses 15 HP (Cannot be inherited)

    A Slot:

    Light Boost 3:

If unit has 3 more HP than enemy at the start of combat, unit is granted Atk/Res+6 [Level 1: Atk/Res+2 ] [Level 2: Atk/Res+4]

    B Slot:

    Magic Coat 3

If unit is attacked by foe with magic, staff, or dragon-stone unit immediately counterattacks regardless of HP or distance. [Level 1: 100% HP], [ Level 2: ≥ 50% HP]

Note: Hardy Bearing would disable this skill, since it also focuses on the unit's attack priority as it is similar to vantage.

    Stats:

    Neutral

    HP: 34

    Atk:52

    Spd: 26

    Def: 12

    Res: 31

    Description:

A silver haired woman who has a unique ability to aid the wounded but in return suffers from it. Leader of the Dawn Brigade. Appears in Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn.

    I'd love to hear a review :)

You can feel bad for Gonzales as well once he gets added. Being ugly is part of some characters' traits and I'm glad it was preserved in this case.

Also, I just looked at Ayra's stats and skills and damn. What are they thinking? The power creep is most definitely on.

I'm just happy that they are adding more skills that compare the unit's spd, it makes Phantom Speed more viable as a seal.

  13. 19 minutes ago, Armagon said:

Nah, i think the artist actually succeed. Arden has always looked ugly.

Should I feel bad for Arden? Guess being ugly is part of his character? I never played FE4 but I heard it was the darkest FE game in terms of story.

  14. 14 minutes ago, Othin said:

I tested it and it didn't happen. See the screenshots I posted.

Follow-Up Ring works above 50% HP, not below. If he's below half, he won't be getting the follow-up attacks whether you have Hardy Bearing or not.

Oh, well I guess I misinterpreted it as Hardy Bearing's effect activating when I was playing Heroes last night, my bad.

  15. Just now, dragonlordsd said:

Awesome, thanks. This could be a really important thing to learn, so definitely keep us posted.

Try and get him to the HP threshold, see if Hardy Bearing works. If he's at 30 HP or lower, it shouldn't activate when using the seal. And I will, if anything happens I'll immediately update you guys.

  16. But, am I the only one who thinks Arden's art steps into the uncanny valley? It's not clicking, I think the artist tried to emulate the original FE4 art but updated it at the same time. Arden just looks creepy.

  17. Just now, dragonlordsd said:

That's absolutely baffling, but I totally believe it. A ton of stuff doesn't work the way it says it should.

I'm just saying that's what happened, Arden's skill didn't activate but it did for other units.  Next time it happens I'll take a picture.

  18. 1 minute ago, Othin said:

Did Lucina have Swordbreaker? That's the only thing I can think of that would stop it.

Not at all, looking back I should have taken a picture. The only units I have with Swordbreaker are Ike and Sully. Either Hardy Bearing worked, or it was a glitch but I remember he was doing 3 damage against Lucina and he had enough HP to activate the skill but it didn't activate. And Lucina also had enough HP to activate Hardy Bearing (Level 2 tier). I'm gonna upgrade the seal when I have more coins.

  19. 2 minutes ago, Othin said:

Can you explain exactly how the combat played out? Who attacked first, etc.

I don't know why you keep bringing up Desperation, because Arden does not have Desperation. The way combat normally plays out is:

    • Attacking unit attacks once. (Or twice, with a Brave weapon.)
    • Defending unit attacks once, if able to counter.
    • Attacking unit attacks again, if able to perform a follow-up attack due to high Speed or a skill. (Twice, with a Brave weapon.)
    • Defending unit attacks again, if able to counter and perform a follow-up attack due to high Speed or a skill.

Desperation and Vantage change this order, and Hardy Bearing stops any such changes to the order.

If you're having your Lucina initiate combat against an Arden with Follow-Up Ring and >50% HP, then if Lucina has at least 5 more Spd than Arden and no other relevant skills are involved, the way it should play out is exactly like the above example.

    • Lucina attacks.
    • Arden counters.
    • Lucina attacks again.
    • Arden counters again, assuming he's still alive.

If Arden is the one to initiate combat, the order is inverted and Arden hits twice each time because of his brave weapon, but things are otherwise the same.

Some screenshots I took of Arden having his follow-up attack against both a Catria with Hardy Bearing and a Valter without it:

    tumblr_oxx8x2NTMB1sn35pqo4_400.png

I think maybe the battle played out differently, Lucina out-sped him but even with the HP he had Follow-Up ring should have activated but it didn't. I believe he was at 30 HP or something, but I'm telling you that Arden had no follow up attack when Lucina was initating combat against but he did have it with my other units.  And I agree with you about how Follow Up ring works.

What? Based on its description, it should be nothing like Desperation and everything like a better Quick Riposte. It doesn't change the order of attacks, so Hardy Bearing shouldn't be relevant.

Edit: Yeah, I checked and it absolutely activates against Hardy Bearing. I think you're misunderstanding what Follow-Up Ring actually does.

Huh, but I was using Lucina (with Hardy Bearing) and no follow up attack for Arden occurred when he was attacked and his HP was enough to activate the skill. ''It guarantees a follow up attack'' but with Desperation, a follow up attack immediately occurs afterwards. They are similar in that regard. Weird.
