I know some people are pretty upset about Dark Mages being male only, but this actually isn't the first time it's been like this. They were also male exclusive in Shadow Dragon and New Mystery.

Maybe the chain-sword explosive death attack we saw the old guy in the trailer use is a Combat Art?

I'm thinking the religion/goddess isn't evil, just that the current leadership probably is.

These are just some general thoughts that I've had: Sothis is most likely the goddess, and the goddess and the obligatory Fire Emblem dark god are one and the same. The evidence here is that Sothis has the same headgear as the Church lady, and yet her design also features the crest/symbol on the cape of the guy wielding the whip-sword. Speaking of him, he's probably related to Byleth. My money is on that he's Byleth's true father, who gave him to Jeralt to raise for some reason. The evidence here is that Byleth seems to get his sword as a Prf eventually, and Fire Emblem Prfs are usually only able to be wielded by those who have a certain bloodline, with a few exceptions.

Hey, we already have a continent name for Three Houses. It's already better than Fates.

(Assuming branching promotions return) Give Falcon Knights swords again, but make a new promotion with higher magic that has staves. Wyverns can stay the same as they are in Fates.

Which story mode chapters have Master Seals?

Another good way to level up characters are the History Mode missions where you have to kill enough enemies in a time limit. This also gets materials and gold, so it's very useful.

Another promotion question: Are Master Seals in the harder parts of History mode or the easier parts?

Is there a recommended time to promote?
