I actually kinda headcanon this for her and Geoffrey. I do believe they were still really close friends, but due to Geoffrey having to train for knighthood he wasn't raised as closely to Elincia as Lucia was. I feel this way, cause they have no bond support between them in PoR, but then gain one in RD, which is when I believe the romance between the 2 started.

I think I've spent somewhere between 100-200 orbs and have only pulled 1 5* ... so yeah my luck has been pretty shit too. I just gave up on summoning and start saving my orbs. I recently blew 50 on Celica's banner, and got nothing good in return, ugh. Yeah screw summoning till Elincia is released (unless a Judgral banner comes out before then, cause then I might be tempted again. I've been hoarding orbs for her for months, I'm around 400 something now. Haven't done so well in the Tempest Trails due to not having many 5*s from lack of summoning. I'm determined to save up as much as possible for her, so I'll have her on my team and Geofftey too, cause OTP God, I feel like I'll be waiting months for her though. Why you do this to me IS!

I know incest is a lot more accepting in Japanese culture, so them wanting to refer to the 3 of them as 'siblings' is probably not seen as weird over there. I feel like if it was ever officially translated in English they might not be as explicit about it, but who knows really. I'm glad you think I'm civil. I certainly didn't think I was a few years ago, lol. I rather got into way too many arguments with people on the subject and have just come to accept people just have different view points and interpretations of things, but anyway thank you. It's clear that we just have completely different interpretations of both of them. Better to just stop there, as we're clearly not going to agree anyway, unless your just that curious to know my thoughts in detail. I see your problems with her and Geoffrey as being valid, but only because we truly don't know how closely raised the two of them were. I get that the Westermarck effect is a thing and all, but it's only comes into affect if they had been raised in the same household together during the first 5 or so years of life. They could have been in separate households for all we know. Elincia does say she was raised in a small villa in the Crimea, but as far as I'm aware, if never officially stated that Lucia and Geoffrey were raised there with her, they could have been raised in Castle Delbray and just regularly visited her. We just don't know, they don't give us enough information (and I really do wish that they did). I just rather enjoy her and Geoffrey's dynamic, and them growing up together doesn't bother me, I honestly kind of like that, only because it makes the two of them already rather close to each other from the get go. I do have to rely on a few number of headcanons for them, since they never give us enough info on how they grew up together, but regardless, I still love the ship. Anyway, nothing I say is going to make you like Geoffrey x Elincia, and nothing you say will make me like Ike x Elincia. Better to just respect each others ships and move on. And yeah, I cant stand people who feel the need to bash each others ships. People are allowed to like whatever they want, bashing them is completely unnecessary.

I agree they had some rather sweet moments in PoR, but not enough for me personally to ever want ship them, as it came off as rather one-sided to me. My main problem with it is that I just cant see it realistically working out without at least one of them being out of character. I also strongly believe Elincia to be a far stronger character without him. She feels rather held back by him in PoR and her not needing to rely on him anymore in RD makes her a much better character in my eyes. Anyway, better to stop there and just respectfully disagree. No point in getting into a shipping war over this. I will say I rather appreciate being able to communicate with a fan of this ship that's rather respectfully of other opinions. I've had way too many interaction with some rather toxic members of that fanbase. I'm sure they're just a vocal minority, but still. And to be far, just about every fanbase has its' far share of obnoxious fans, so yeah haha.

As much as I don't like that ship, I do think it was rather dumb of them to add extra hints of it in the English version of PoR, then literally do nothing with it in the sequel. They could have at least come out and said it was platonic or something then they wouldn't have pissed so many people off. And honestly I'm pretty cool with the idea of a strong platonic version between the two.

You sir have damn good taste. I love Geoffrey to death, he's so uptight and rather dorky at times that I just cant help but love him. It makes him kinda stand out among other knightly characters in the series. The conversions he has with some of his men can be rather humorous. The most notable ones for me were the base convos in 2-3, (man I wish the Royal Knights got more screen time). Totally adore his relationship with Elincia as well. I love that they grew up together, it makes them feel so at ease and comfortable around each other, and the whole power dynamic between the two, her being queen and him being just a knight and all, really just makes their relationship so damn interesting, and so damn satisfying when they're actually able to be together in the end. I'm not one to ship a lot either, but I just cant help but love them. OTP for life right there. Totally agree with you on both Makalov and Shinon. It's nice to have characters for once that aren't just a bunch a goody two shoes, and actually have flaws. Makes them far more human and interesting to me.

I admittedly get rather unintentional toxic sometimes when trying to express my opinions so I apologize if I came off like that in anyway.

I believe you should be allowed to love whoever you want without being discrimanted against, that's basically the borderline point I'm trying to make. If you think these kinds of relationships are weird than thats perfectly understandable. And yes there are different types of love, it's not always romantic. Platonic love can be just as strong as romantic love. A bit off topic, but I tend to view Elincia relationship with Ike as being very platonic. I could never get behind those two as romantic, it comes off as really one sided to me, even in the English version. Elincia clearly has a bit of a crush on him, and an understandable one at that, but I never really say much coming from him in that sense. I do believe he strongly respects and cares for her, just not romantically. And that honestly just makes way more sense for him as a character. He doesn't show much interest in wanting to be in a commited relationship anyway.

Couldnt agree more. One of the biggest reasons why I love Elincia so much is because of how she's a complete divergence of that trope. And her relationship with both Geoffrey and Lucia are fantastic. So what if they come off as somewhat incestuous, it's the meaningfulness of those relationships that count

Pseudo incest doesnt really. I mean if they arent blood related then who's really getting hurt in the end? No one really. Real incest, however, does bother me if they're having kids together, otherwise I dont particularly care. And for the record I dont ship a lot of things that are, Elincia x Geoffrey is probably the only one that I do, and thats mostly because there's a lot of things about their relationship dynamic that I really like. Anyway my opinion of this is rather weird considering how I was raised, so yeah.

Him caring deeply for Elincia = obsession? Not trying to twist your words or anything, thats just kinda how it comes off as to me. As for the psuedo incestness of him and Elincia relationship, this personal does not bother me, cause in my mind as long as both of them are grown and consenting adults, and no one is getting hurt in the end, I see no problem with it. I feel this way about true incest as well. And yeah I agree that he would have been better if he served more as a Camus archtype instead. More screen time to would have help as well. And are shipping taste greatly differ, lol (I'm hardcore Elincia x Geoffrey) Anyway, agree to disagree.

Yeah, I do find Makalov to be quite amusing at times, but yeah I guess I wouldn't really consider him to be one of my favorites. I pretty much love the rest of the Crimean cast though. I believe Retro studios is more than capable of creating more mature IPs. I mean Metroid is probably the closes thing we got to that, at the moment at least. Also Metroid Prime 4 hype!

My biggest issue with Nintendo's games is their narratives. A story can take the structure of narratives like Game of Thrones, Witcher, or even Dark Souls without overt violence and sex. Why not make games where the decisions have concrete consequences for the world around the player? Why not approach the writing with the mentality that the protagonist must earn their survival/success instead of having it handed to them? Why not write a story with issues that not only resonate with a 10 year old, but with an 18, 22, or 30 year old? These are things Nintendo often struggles with in the narratives of their games, (thank Naga FE hasn't fallen to Pokemon's level yet), and I'm disappointed that Nintendo has seemingly refused to address this, however, they still seem stuck in their tropes and fail to shift their targeted audience away from 10 year olds.

They could have gone with the Tegra X2, then it wont have been an issue. Not saying that it need to be the most powerful console on the market, just powerful enough for 3rd party devs to more easily develop games for it. Plus the whole point to them needing 3rd party support is to avoid the huge game droughts that many of their past consoles (the Wiiu especially) suffered from. Their in house development teams can only pump out games so fast, there needs to be something to fill in the gaps in between new first party releases. I really wish they would stop trying so hard to appeal to children. The average gamer is like around 30, and they should be wanting to appeal to them more. That's not to say that it's bad to have some games that are family friendly, but that shouldn't be their main focus. They screwed themselves with the Wiiu, cause they thought they could replicate the success that the Wii had, but we all know how that turned out. I do like the Switch's concept though, just wished it was more powerful than it is. It is what it is though, cant change it at this point Unless they pull a Sony or Microsoft and release a more powerful version of it.

Nintendo kinda has a history of being greedy, however I will give some prompts to Kimishima. The marketing as greatly improved since he took over. I mean just look at how good Nintendos' ads have gotten, especially when compared to the Wiiu. They gave the impression that the Wiiu was an add on to the original Wii, lol.

I have to agree, they are becoming the Apple of the gaming market, which is quite the sore point for me. (Cause I HATE Apple)

Honestly, if Nintendo would just stop being so full of themselves and reach out to 3rd party devs, they would dominate The console market. Having all the best 3rd party titles, say the Witcher 3 for example (that game is phenomenal btw) they would destory Sony and Microsoft. They can't compete with most of Nintendos' in house games like Mario and Zelda for example, and having those games along with all the other big name 3rd party games, Nintendo would be unstoppable.

Switch accessories are over priced in general. I mean it's $70 for a pro controller..... you can get a ps4 or Xbox One controller for like $50... WTF!
