  1. #triggered I am chuckling because I remembered the Command and Conquer series and how in some games the infantry starts crawling when attacked with rockets or such. I think your expertise and experiments proved this further!! Pff! Keep adding lmao! Even if you later drop the joke, I want to know how far Isara can go :D "...some men are not looking for anything logical, like money. They cannot be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn." And some drive a freaking tank across the river. Statistics. Just statistics. Also patriotism. At least we are on the right forum. Elsewhere people would immediately jump at you, I think ;D It actually makes me happy to see that the aim circle on Lancers makes them much more usable. That is a huge difference. I always facepalmed when my Lancer was standing THIS close to a tank radiator but... the missile (or whatever) went in like 80 degrees angle and missed -_-; That should not even be possible! CUC: -1 -> -1
  2. I admit I have not been in that many LPs but serious props. I always log in to SF to check if this and one other FE8 LP updated. I think it is fun so far but what I like is that you engage with people a lot and that always counts :> When Lt. Gunther shot a freaking flare high up in the sky?? What were they thinking... You know... Since Largo is into vegetables and stuff... lmao, true! I completely forgot about her! Good of you to take her :D Wait, wait, wait! What?? So how does that work? Do the enemy snipers automatically take pot-shots at your units when they are running willy-nilly in the open and then slowly reload before firing again? Wow! THIS is the first major stuff in this mod D: LMAO! Wow! The one Darcsen Rosie has nothing against, I suppose. This is Fire Emblem level of luck. Like when you send your pathetic unit up front and they freaking dodge and critical ALL of the opposition D: Catherine was there a bit but... I guess I will start a counter. Catherine Usefulness Counter (CUC): +0 -> 0
  3. Good gosh. Noted that I should not check this LP while drinking tea... lmao lmao, yeah. I always found this a bit iffy in the scene. I know Largo is best buddies with Rosie and is probably just covering her back but... Most of the time Largo looks like someone who is capable of forming his own opinions but not here. It is like he is only siding with Rosie on this matter because it is Rosie. I think it is a bit confusing regardless. I... do not think this comes up ever again? Largo just goes back to being chill. I do not remember every single scene though.
  4. Six years later, Florina x Hector still going strong :')
  5. Sorry about starting that breasts discussion. I could not help myself bringing it up because it is something I noticed, haha. It is just fanservice in the end. Anyway. I do not hate Ellet either. I think they did a good job at portraying a tabloid journalist. They HAVE to be that annoying to get anything. I mean, if you feel annoyed then I guess her character is working because you feel uncomfortable like you are the one being interviewed. Thank god that cannot happen to me ever :D Honestly, I feel like Welks is sometimes just THAT good of an actor with his nature distractions ;) Hm. I know the Galian military is short of people but it is still interesting they freely allow racists in there without the fear of internal conflict. Some of the Darcsen haters might as well open fire but then I guess that is what differentiates from the super evil Empire! Why did I read this: In Hannibal Lecter's voice? D: lmao, this is cool :D That is the reaction when tactics go wrong for unlucky reasons :D
  6. I guess I am down for VC3 in the future. I pretty much do not know anything. I saw the short anime which was like an introduction of sorts? That was years ago and I barely remember much. There was this girl with a huge grenade launcher or what was it so I think you mean that weapon? :D As for VC2... Feel free to do it but I cannot say I care for it due to similar reasons... I have not even finished it and meh. It is in the past now. Actually, I just found out there is a fourth game. Recently released but it seems it completely went under the radar... Wow. Valkyria Revolution. Also, is it typical for the Valkyria to have huge breasts? Because that seems to be the case, honestly. lmao I am joking but yeah.
  7. Correct me if I am wrong but was that not how it mostly worked back in those days and earlier? Soldiers had orders not to shoot at anything labeled with the Red Cross or such and I guess there was more sense of honor in doing just that. I remember reading something like that but I might be totally wrong on this. I actually really like the shooting animations. Feels like there is a real blow-back from that rifle. More so when Alicia does have puny arms, haha.
  8. Because certain someone has an inferiority complex but more on that later ;) Heh. That seems to be the case. In general, I feel like in RPGs, teleportation is usually the evil guy's thing. Funny that in FE5 the evil sorcerers later almost always have Rewarp staves but you cannot get them other than by capturing said sorcerers. Good guys have to rely on Warp staves :/ Heck yeah! Now imagine the fighter gets stuck and the knight walks away with him! That would be a great gif but I cannot make it :D
  9. No idea how it is with the mod but in the vanilla, the very first skirmish is SUPER efficient for quite some time. I think you can beat it in like.. one or two turns with Alicia running through the whole field and knocking down the guard at the enemy camp. Easy 4k EXP in like two minutes I think. EDIT: I checked and kinda. The first skirmish can be done in like two minutes for VERY quick 2k EXP. This mission unlocks it as a skirmish with similar results for 5k. Yeah, it was broken. Wait what. Were the tanks THAT strong in the vanilla as well?? I doubt it. Not in the first mission, dammit. Plus Edelweiss was always sturdy as all heck even later. I really only lost it when I parked it in a way that exposed its radiator. Ya, I know you said this mod makes it tougher but... wow. If they have a lancer near that position... yeah. I think one is pretty close but then Edelweiss would mangle him.
  10. Answer: Good of you to do so. I took the bait. I like taking baits! Better question: When did I post that?? Man, I was out drunk I guess. Po jednom poháriku som aj Nagu videl. Po dvoch aj dračí dych...
  11. Not judging or anything buuuut... Is the Galian military pretty much abusing child soldiers? Some of the recruits are underage... That... is actually quite the team, lmao. It is like Welking got drunk the night before the recruitment and started pointing his finger at random.
  12. The furor over particularism has been an acutely frustrating cultural phenomenon: pregnant with great possibility, touching on vital and fascinating issues, yet initially formulated in a one-sided and morbid manner that will sensationalize all of the issues any day now. What's important to note, however, is that "nice guys" share many of the same characteristics. The first thing I want to bring up is that the picture I am presenting need not be confined to a "nice guy"'s codices. It applies to everything he says and does. "Nice guy" offers two reasons as to why people find his unrelenting, over-the-top modesty rather refreshing. He argues that (1) one can understand the elements of a scientific theory only by reference to the social condition and personal histories of the scientists involved, and (2) granting him complete control over our lives is as important as breathing air. These arguments are invalid for the following reasons: First, it is immature and stupid of him to spawn delusions of feudalism's resplendence. It would be mature and intelligent, however, to tell you a little bit about him and his baleful publicity stunts, and that is why I say that it seems clear that he sees his forum buddies as subhuman creatures unworthy of human sympathy. But we ought to look at the matter in a broader framework before we draw final conclusions on the subject: We see that that fact is simply inescapable to any thinking man or woman. "Thinking" is the key word in the previous sentence. "Nice guy" has nothing but contempt for you, and you do not even know it. That is why I feel obligated to inform you that he actually believes that a plausible excuse is a satisfactory substitute for performance. True, "nice guy" has a right to his opinion. In his mind, he also apparently has a right to be an abominable bloodsucker as evidenced by his endless attempts to meddle in everyone else's affairs. Perhaps "nice guy" needs some serious professional help, but remember that if we do nothing, he will keep on moving increasingly towards the establishment of a totalitarian Earth. One cannot change this all in a moment, but one can pronounce the truth and renounce the lies. As I gaze into my crystal ball, I see that "nice guy"'s partisans will divert us from proclaiming what in our innermost conviction is absolutely necessary when you least expect it. "Nice guy"'s sophistries are just a rhetorical ploy to get away from the obvious fact that "nice guy"'s termagant manifestos leave the current power structure untouched while simultaneously killing countless forum goers through trolling and disease. Are these forum posters his enemies? No, do not guess; this is not audience participation day. I will just tell you. But before I do, you should note that he thinks I am trying to say that we should all bear the brunt of "nice guy"'s actions.
  13. RIP Cate. Your skills will not be missed. (god, I am picking up strike-throughs after you now) Anyway. lmao, I do not remember the ragdoll physics being THAT weird! Although I always snickered at Imperials mangled while running and faceplanting with that satisfying thud. They look good to me! Apparently. I am not heavily into the usual popularity polls and stuff but Marina was the most popular character here just like Edy over in Japan. That is why Edy got the DLC and I think they also included Marina in it.
  14. Dialogues like the one about birds is exactly why I love Welkin or Alicia for that matter. Plus everything you said about how the game treats war and casualties. Even a pacifist like Welkin understands there is no peace without fighting, unfortunately. All of this was missing from the anime and replaced by your usual anime tropes and humor :/ Tbh, I cannot say I am a fan of every Imperial soldier having the elite black suit. The grunts in cutscenes are still grey. And I liked the red clothed leaders :< I really, really hope the mod did Potentials justice. I remember some guys were simply inferior and loaded with bad Potentials. Like when you have clearly inferior FE units. No idea why developers do that... Maybe if you want a challenge. I mean, if you are allergic to freaking EVERY land type then stay away from the military. Also, what the heck is wrong with engineers allergic to metal!? Heh. I at least possibly vote for Jane and Jann because flavor and maybe Salinas because legit Leon S. Kennedy haircut (kinda). Maybe Catherine because accent but I think she is the worst sniper in the vanilla game...
  15. This is what I personally use with snes9x: A -> A B -> S Z -> Y X -> X L -> E R -> R D-pad -> arrows Start ->Enter Select ->Shift Fast forward -> Tab
  16. I was fiercely pursuing what I like: programming. Mostly coding for myself for years to build the EXP and also tutoring maths and stuff. I also had to start somewhere so random jobs had to do just for the cash during uni but I used every additional time to get better at what I actually wanted to do. Now I deal with robotics... In the end, everything adds work experience and any time of management for example can get you somewhere later. I would not listen to people crapping on fast food workers and such. While there is some truth, it still gives you EXP and cash and right now you need to do SOMETHING. Also, a backwaters country like mine is hard to compare to the US but I think the rules are similar: Study and study or constantly work on yourself. You can pick up a LOT on your own because a school can give you only so much before your future employer asks you: "Cool but what else?" As others have mentioned, you need content on your CV. You are only 21, you still have time. I would not take any random "crappy" job but anything else is valuable EXP of some kind and it builds up over time. You just need to hop into doing something.
  17. The two Imperials were definitely really casual about it. I think in a real situation, one of them would shoot Isara as soon as she would attempt her roll or right after pointing her gun. Using the fact that a random person would not shoot. Even if, she would kill one and the other soldier would shoot her. I am just thinking aloud but it is a game obviously. Well, hopefully Isara's luck with people pointing guns at her and not shooting is going to continue! :)
  18. Yep. I think your turn count is the only grade deciding factor. In other words: Beat the mission as quickly as possible. Tactics be damned! Sure, you can kill aces and tanks but the score is only good for money and EXP. Money is never an issue when you grind for EXP and EXP can be very easily obtained in skirmishes you can win in two turns for like 8k EXP later... Also, I have never ever used the Imperial weapons. Their gimmick is raw strength and everything else is crap but... once you get the royal weapons, no other weapon matters anyway. I THINK the Imperial flamethrower was the only worth one using though. Ah yeah. Typical VC drinking game for bored soldiers. Two to four guys sit at a bunker and exchange shots across it. The first one to use a grenade wins. Seriously, that is always both ridiculous and hilarious to do. Fire Emblem has all the reality vs. gameplay memes but ... Where are my VC memes!? So much potential with what you can do in this game lmao :D Ugh. Yes. Although I think you can aim at their legs and when they lie down, you are still hitting them lmao. Still, it raises their DEF a lot I think. I really like Welkin as a protagonist. He starts capable already and turns into a guy who will order you to step on a mine and survive it. And you will because you have no choice. Have you seen the anime? I thought it was pretty bad. Alicia is fanfic like out of character and Welkin is THIS close to suicide. Plus the plot is obviously mangled.
  19. I have only played the PS3 game a few times and I had no idea this mod exists for the PC version. That is cool then :D I remember I tried my best at getting the highest grades before realizing one simple rule: Let Welkin pretty much order Alicia or a good unit that they are a god and nothing lesser. Welkin can do that. The rest was a freaking order boosted unit running through a war zone right into the enemy base and conquering it on their own. Minus a couple of missions where you could not godmode with orders that much. Once I found that out, any sense of planning stopped and my war tactics were forever recorded as the dumbest suicide missions that worked flawlessly.
