I hope not. Kris is a waste, Archanea is well represented by Marth already. It makes little sense to go for the unpopular irrelevant avatar character over all the lords they left out including Robin themselves.

It's not about pushing Lyn or Eirika as the next Ike. It's about having a varied roster of actual value than a sausage generic sword lord fest. If they have to pick one per game, Alm and Eliwood over Celica and Lyn is very lame. Different faces are better.

Edelgard, Dimitri, and somewhat Claude have far more dedicated haters than Byleth. Edelgard would be the most disliked even if she'd have lots of popularity and positivity to balance it out. Byleth is neutral.

I'm happy with all the Emblem choices personally. From picks that better sell the game to a wide variety overall, as varied as FE's approach to lords tend to be after all. Byleth was optimal, Lyn was optimal, Celica was optimal, Eirika was optimal, etc.

Hard disagree. Diamant and Alcryst don't need "risks" whatever that means. They are well implemented in a cast like this.

In a franchise with about a thousand different Fire Emblem characters + designs. I'll give Engage credit for being bold enough to stand out like this and they definitely do stand out. In the broader FE scale, it won't be difficult to recognize who's who thanks to the wildly different costumes.

I liked how the lords look in Engage's style and modeling more. They pulled it off in a way I tolerate (even then, it's still mixed) because the models are just better on average. They'll look ugly in Fodlan. They don't belong in this game, after so long people who wanted Ike would just be stuck with ugly modeling and shading, along with 100% getting the Sothis treatment of having 0 supports. Because Three Hopes isn't about being a crossover.

Sounds kinda dumb. They lose the biggest selling point of an inevitable Warriors 2 by doing that. Especially when I think they'd look awful trying to force them in the Fodlan style, model type, and lighting.

I'm not surprised that this convo's basic. The lords don't have a ton of quirks to bounce off of. Especially when Alear's conversation with Celica is a standard recruitment type. It's just like Marth's where they say "please work with us". This is very much not a C-Support as these lords are unlikely to get supports at all.
