I like the way RNG is factored into this game. Im playing Awakening which is my first FE game. While you're never sure if your chosen strategy will work, you can try and build a strategy which puts most of the odds in your favour.

thanks for the write-up. makes me really hyped for when i finally get too the game. Right now im still playing awakening and need to do fates but I will get there.

on normal you can probably do whatever you like. If you want more of a challenge i would try Lunatic or Hard.

Dont ditch Panne, She is one of my favourite characters. also if you plan on doing first gen only, why not bench lucina or nowi. I think i like sumia the least but im not sure.

I didnt do this on my first playthrough which i abandoned on chapter 17 playing hard/classic. Right now I'm planning on doing alot of skillgrinding and optimizing on lunatic/classic but im getting in trouble with characters hitting level 10 in chapter 8 and me not having enough seals. I think im going through 4/5 classes each.

Awakening is my first FE game and im playing it now. I really enjoy most of it but then again i dont have a basis for comparison. I really love the gameplay and story. They also did a really good job on most characters imo.

So after doing a hard/classic run till chapter 17 i decided to restart the game on Lunatic. Not only because i wanted more of a challenge but also because i really messed up with the reclassing and whatnot. So to try and prevent this issue occurring in this playthrough im making this thread. The focus here will be on Robin , Who i probably want to end in Dark Knight but im not entirely sure on that. Right now the route i have in mind is Tactician > Grand master (5) > Myrmidon > SM > DK. I could also try and fit Merc in somewhere in between but tbh, I really dont like the class, but if Armsthrift really is the be all end all skill i will fit it in before going myrm with maybe going hero (5) for Sol. So while im not trying to get a super optimized build i would like to get a build that is as good as i can make it while sticking to cool classes. and yes I will consider merc > Hero (5) if it is that good.

I like panne, the supports between MU and Panne are really fun

SO this is my first FE game ever and im getting kinda lost on the pairings. Im playing on Classic - hard and im not going for super optimal pairings but i would like them not to suck. Currently i have Chrom - Sumia Panne - Libra Lissa - Lon'qa Tharja - Gaius MU - ? Nowi - Donnel Miriel - Ricken (not sure on this one yet) I need to decide on the others still, just was wondering if i was going in a not terrible direction
