Well Walhart's Heroes dialogue seems to imply he's Paralogue!Walhart what it's worth, so they seem to be sticking with it being canon. Wouldn't be surprised if Aversa's lines implied the same for it.

Normally I would agree with you but in this case it's weird, the CYL2 page originally showed all 4 winners and then New Mystery Marth as you see in the picture you put up. But then they changed it to Shadow Dragon Marth, the version of him that got a higher number of votes in CYL2. It could still mean nothing but it's a strange thing to specifically change y'know?

I wouldn't say that's too likely actually, ever since Book 2 began Paralogues have been exclusively seasonals and all "New Hero" banners have been Main Story Chapters.

Well I had to check it to be sure but that's actually not true. It was a short period but Faye actually debuted in Heroes before Shadows of Valentia, since she wasn't in the original Gaiden. The first Alm banner with Faye was released on April 14th and Shadows of Valentia didn't release in Japan until April 20th.

He does have special quotes though, same as any other unit.

I stared the Banner off with about 120 orbs I'd been saving up, pulled an Ishtar that was -SPD +DEF so I kept pulling and managed to get another that was the opposite, +SPD -DEF, so I'm pretty happy about that.

I've seen people say that but nah I don't think so, it feels very deliberate that Fjorm cuts herself off by coughing before she can introduce the Summoner and then Ylgr calls us by our name despite that.

I can definitely see that as a reason for scrapping it but I'm glad it was considered, if only because of it we now actually know Fire Emblem character ages for once, so that's nice.

Most likely to give the people who aren't a fan of the OC characters an incentive to pull on the banner by not making it an all OC seasonal banner.
