I definitely find him underwhelming. I haven't promoted any of the GHB characters since Arvis, actually. Oliver, Lyon, Saias, and Julius are more or less the same unit; a slow mage that is mostly good for tanking (the dwindling amount of) mages and for ploying. Why waste 20k feathers promoting a slow mage when I can promote Hawkeye to give Death Blow 3 to my +Atk Bridal Sanaki?

My feeling on the latest controversies in the fanbase is this: Fire Emblem is downstream from anime. Over the past twenty years, there has been a shift from story-oriented anime to cute, lewd, 'fanservice' oriented anime. Not only plot-wise, but character design in particular. The emphasis on sex appeal has gone way up. So of course FE is going to have these elements in it. I don't even think Fire Emblem has a lot of that kind of stuff; it's pretty tame to what you can find in just a run-of-the-mill SoL anime, or on aniTwitter (not that I follow any of them, of course). Also, at this point there's not a lot to do in this game for long-time players. All that's left is to collect the newly released characters, so IS puts increased emphasis on sexy/loli characters to keep interest alive. I'm honestly not even that excited for new units, except if they're characters I really like that have amazing stats/abilities (Myrrh, WT Reinhardt and Spring Kagero come to mind).

I'll just pick her up by her hair and gently tease her like an anime bully. While she protests me and her bodyguards will just laugh and laugh.

Might be a while, since the summer of fan service is almost here.

I'd really like them to redo Marisa. Her first iteration is pretty mediocre, and I don't care for her art. I would like Cuboon to be the new artist; take a look this art where he drew Marisa.

One interesting thing I've noticed IS doing regarding the new units is their weapons for mages. Previously, they would release an okay but forgettable weapon that would be quickly replaced by bladetome or raventome. Now, they're upping the new weapon's effects to be on par with them, [resumably to get more people interested in the banner. Bridal Sanaki's and Tharja's weapons are quite good, and Sanaki's can reach very high levels of damage on a flier team. Lilina's Foreblaze forge is amazing, and Ishtar's weapon is quite good as well.

Wow. My +Atk Sanaki will hit 60 base attack with the TT Bonus. Add flier buffs, +3 Atk Sacred Seal, Death Blow 3, and her own weapon buffs, and she could easily hit triple digit damage even without procing her special. Loki, you're done if the loli has Glimmer charged... Btw does anyone know the origin of Loki's staff's name? It seems like IS is trolling us with the most THICC character having, well, a thicc staff.

I think whoever married Catria in Mystery of the Emblem could be set up with Sanaki if the marriage fails. Sanaki needs to get a man that appreciates headbands.

I think I might start believing in karma. My free summon on the last two banners netted me BOTH Ishtar and B! Sanaki. This is after the cursed Legendary Hero banner at the beginning of the month where I spent 400 orbs and got 0 Lyns.

The bonuses on the Grand Conquests are thicc as hell. I fricken love having a +4 to all flier stats and able to move to any flying ally within two spaces. I use only flying units anyway so they go HAM on all yawl.

I'm in a bit of a bind lol. I haven't been able to update my friends list in months because I'm using this guy's +10 merged Myrrh with +Def IV and Iote's Shield; she more or less obliterates all enemies aside from Falchion users. At the moment he has a +10 Winter Tharja as his lead, who is amazing but not quite on the same level as Myrrh. Until they switch back to Myrrh I'm stuck with my friend roster from 2 months ago.

I'm just putting this forward as an example of why whining about 'loli child brides' is overreaction. Btw I would totally whale to get a Rei crossover character in Heroes. Also...what's the Fire Emblem equivalent of Rei vs. Asuka?

The Tempest Trial name is alluding to the fact that Loki used to be a very active poster on the FE7 Gamefaqs forum and would frequently take down arcane sh*tposters with hilarious flames.

As far as the Loli Sanaki controversy goes: I just watched End of Evangelion. Rei's naked body is displayed full frontal MULTIPLE times, and there's a scene where she's touched by [redacted]. She's supposed to be 14 by the way. So excuse me for feeling 'yawn' about this debate.

I just randomly refine weapons to get enough Divine Dew, because I hate doing Rival Domains with infantry or armor units to get a measly 10 Divine Dew. I've upgraded Amelia's Slaying Axe+ twice, and probably will do the defense refine next.

I agree; I was surprised that there was no Camilla, Tharja, or Kagero for the summer banner (Summer Tiki is awesome, though , so I can't complain). If they're going fanservice might as well go all out. This was why I was a little disappointed that Kagero was on the bunny banner; her art and stats/weapon are great, but it means that we likely won't be getting a DoA Beach Volleyball Kagero for summer. A wedding themed banner also wouldn't be complete without Ninian and Eliwood.

Nurses are some of the worst people I know...lmfao if any of you think they're "angels" of some sort. The physical therapist was chill though. We would ditch them to go outside and vape and watch the new season of High School DxD on his phone, then throw a football around. That I can totally believe. When will Celicacels and 16bitcels learn? You should have said, "Celica is a Mary Sue and I will debate this with anyone". Then show him the sledgehammer content of Camilla one-turn soloing Arvis's GHB map to prove once and for all that 3ds Fire Emblem> old Fire Emblem.

It gets worse: I was following the advice on Rasouli's video on how to grind HM, and was using the RD Ike method for Robin's GHB map. The nurse walked in as I was clicking auto-battle over and over and asked what I was doing. I told her I was collecting feathers so I could merge my favorite characters to make them more powerful and to pass on 5-star exclusive skills. I also showed her Fire Emblem Warriors, which I was playing simultaneously, and showed her Lyn in Armor Break and said she's my favorite unit. She snickered and said "You're such a nerd", and walked out of the room without giving me my scheduled pain medication. Later, as I was working with the physical therapists, I saw the nurse at the front desk sitting with her coworkers; they were looking at me and laughing. It especiallY stung because they seemed to be around my age, and weren't bad-looking. In the afternoon, my doctor walked in with the nurse. She whispered something in his ear and he burst out laughing, and mentioned something about adding a consult to a psychiatrist to my schedule. FML

One hilarious thing about the hero merit grinding is its purpose. Most are motivated to do this to merge their units so as to attain a higher ranking in Arena. The end goal, of course, is making it (and staying) in Tier 20. What is the reward for such an endeavor? An extra 1,000 or so feathers per week. Anyone seeing the irony here? You figure out a method to get huge amounts of feathers in a relatively short amount of time...and your reward per week is less than what you could gain in one day of determined grinding.

This 100%. Your first impression is very important on an interview. Be in a good mood, good plenty of sleep the night before, and maybe exercise before an interview; worked for me. Interpersonal skills are what will get you the job; if your resume is ok enough, generally speaking just being pleasant and not making incriminating statements is what you should go for. Regarding intelligence; I accidentally sperged on an interview when they asked what the last author I read was. I wasn't quick enough on my feet and truthfully answered Yukio Mishima. He is a great author but most of his books are pretty out there for a normie, so when they asked what the book was about I said he was a 'postwar' author, which of course makes no sense to an 105 IQ interviewer. Incidentally, I didn't get the job.

It seems like IS has established a pattern regarding banners. The waifu unit: A popular female character. Has fanservice design, at least 1 unique/new weapon or skill, and possibly increased BST (examples being Myrrh, Micaiah, Ishtar, New Eirika, S !Kagero). This attracts the whales. The demote waifu: Another popular female character that isn't QUITE as good as the main waifu unit. Typically has one good skill, and the rest being mediocre. Gets demoted after the banner (examples being Nanna, L'arachel, and probably Lene). The husbando busted male unit: A popular male character with some insane skill to bait out the whales who typically summon waifus but want a powercreep unit to buff their Arena/AA score. The most prominent ones being Zelgius and WT! Reinhardt, and now Ares. GHB unit: Usually male to balance out the ratio. Probably a mediocre mage, with some Ploy skill (why does IS love doing this?). They're forgotten by the end of the month.
