  1. There's so many characters I love in this game! Probably one of my favourite rosters. Probably my favourite is Clair. I just love her all around. Her supports with Gray are some of the best. I just like that she isn't taken away by vapid sentimentality. Catria tickles my fancy in many ways. First of all that haircut is a really big weakness of mine when it comes to women. I also rather enjoy her approach to interacting with her sisters. Why repeate ideas the other two extremes have already said? I also have a thing of pegasus knights... Kliff is great. His supports with Tobin were great too. Small talk can be such a drag. Sometimes it's better to not talk at all. Taking the first excuse to go explore the world, I feel I can relate to that. Now I don't hate this character by any means I just find him kind of boring. I can relate to Luthier's want for improvement and his dedication to his talents. I've spent many time locked up working on something so I can relate to him. However I still find him somewhat boring, that might be the point, he's just a bit one note... now I'm worrying I might be boring too. I take it back I've just realised I like him too!
  2. Still haven't finished playing in english but I'm pleasently surprised with it so far. There was one part that felt completely off, involving Clive, but other than that I liked it but again still early on into it so can't comment on the whole. The japanese was pretty great. Takehito Koyasu as Saber was fantastic. Hiroshi Kamiya as Clive was kinda weird, yeah him again, I couldn't help but think of Araragi from the Monogatari series.

    Heyo

Greetings, I've been using Serenes Forest ,probably for years now, to check on new Fire Emblem info. Decided it was about time I jumped in. I'm a student from Portugal, currently taking a master's in painting, and I love video games and japanese "pop" in general. Of course I love Fire Emblem. I guess I should give some thoughts on the Fire Emblems I've played. I'm by no means a veteran but I've played them for a while now. Sacred Stones: Probably a weird game to start with but it was the first one I played. I hadn't experienced anything like it at the time and I absolutely fell in love. I've replayed it a bunch and I enjoy myself everytime. I'm probably incredibly biased but there are so many little things I love about it. The dual protagonists are pretty cool and the way it reflects on the villain depending on your choice spoke to me. I liked the maps in general and the characters. I'm not sure if it's my favourite one of the bunch but it is definitely special to me. Binding Blade: This game is so dumb. So many bad decisions in it. I love it though! I love it so much! I case it wasn't obvious I started with the GBA games, like a lot of people I'm assuming. Roy promoted absurdly late, some of the maps are absolute hogwash and I've probably used not even half of the cast. It feels like this awkward game that keeps on stumbling but I love it anyways. The final true chapters and the true final boss are actually some of my favourites parts in any FE. Blazing Sword: I think this was the second game I played. It's great! Was actually surprised with all the side chapters it has. I like it a lot but I also feel like I've barely replayed it. I feel I don't have much to say about it. Path of Radiance: This game is filled with cool ideas. I love the little talks you can have in the "base" and the extra EXP you can give other units. Surprised how well done the story was.The moment I caught on it had a theme of racism I was somewhat worried but they pulled it off well enough. Which is somewhat ironic because I never used the transformations. I never used them in other games though. I just seem to like my humans... The english dub is also very... what happened? I can't understand anything the black knight says. Awakening: Boy was I excited about this game! Came out one day after my birthday...and it was sold out everywhere for months. When I got it I was hyped beyond belief! Got my 3DS recently and I can get a Fire Emblem game? Oh yeah! I've clocked over 500 hours on this game. It appeals to my love of optimizing characters. I love breeding the perfect little killing units and get all the stat caps. However that's about it... In most other things I kinda feel this game is lacking. The entire Valm arc in specific left me bored to no end. Other than that I guess the only other important thing is that Lissa is mai waifu. Fates: That first reveal... boyo it left my eyes tearing up. I was so excited! The idea for it looked so cool. I could pick a side? Norh was looking pretty good! I followed the new info as it came until finally I could play it! I absolutely despise this game. For everything I like about it there's a million things I hate. Saying I was disappointed is an understatement. I think the way to fix pair ups is complete removal, as they were presented they just made the game worse. The story just kept jumping from absurd place to the next. I didn't care for nearly any characters. The maps felt like annoying gimmicks most of the time. Eventually I just stopped caring for it. This was the first FE I didn't finish. Shadows of Valentia: So this game is very recent and I haven't had the time to think it over. Overall I love this game. It somehow feels very personal. It feels old but not obsulete. I actually like that battles were a rush for cover and then resolved by attrition. Usually I figure out strategies by looking at the map, there are clear points to abuse, being put in the open creates a weird unease that I liked. The supports are also great. They're short and sweet but still feel like that a certain weight. They somehow ressonated with me far more than past support conversations. I'm on my second playthrough as of now. I went ahead and grabbed myself the collector's edition(guess they somehow didn't sold out immediatly there were like 3 in the shop) and I think it was worth it. I'd love to see more akin to this. This might be a bit long for an introduction but I think this might the best way to go over it. Nice to meet you all and can't wait for info to roll out on FE for the Switch!
