Greetings and salutations, my friends. Allow me to introduce myself. Known by the screen name Nil, I have arrived from the Twitter netscape, looking to find like-minded individuals, and friends.
Proper introductions are in order. Hello, my name is Brady. Coming from a long line of Brady, I found Fire Emblem when I was young — Can't remember exactly how young, but I still remember it vividly. I had just gotten Super Smash Bros. Melee, and I was immediately thrown off by the appearance of a few characters. Marth, and his fiery clone, Roy. I was quickly taken to Roy in the game, and enjoyed playing around with the character.
One day, I found myself in a GameStop, still rather young at the time, and I was picking out a few games. The specifics of the games were lost on me (must not have been that good, if I don't remember them!), and as we were checking out, I looked up to the counter, and there I saw it — Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Being a young kid, I couldn't so much buy the game myself, and I asked my mother the question: "Can I get Fire Emblem, too?"
. . ."No" was the only answer I received. As a result, I didn't really get to experience Fire Emblem itself until the release of Awakening. I guess you could call me an Awakening Baby, because of that, but it wasn't for lack of trying! The day I got Awakening was a very happy day for me indeed! I had finally gotten my hands on a Fire Emblem game, the newest release at that! I plopped the cartridge into my 3DS, and from there, I made my first mistake. . .
I loaded up Casual. All in all, though, it was a fun little experience, and since then, I have quite honestly grown a disgust for Casual. Occasionally, you can find me in Fates multiplayer. I'm rather garbage at the game, but it's still fun.
And I should say - I understand that Fates isn't exactly a pinnacle of Fire Emblem, but. . . The gameplay and difficulty feels much better than Awakening, despite the unlimited use weapons.
Woops! I've been going on for a bit, and I should call it here. I look forward to meeting you, my fellow forum-goers!
Edit: As an aspiring writer, I would more than love to participate in some roleplays! If anyone could direct me to a few, small roleplays, to just get my feet wet in the forum, it'd be greatly appreciated!
