  1. Believe me, since the day they said they were only gonna focus on the three games I've been waiting to see any news about Tharja. So, let me give you a quick rundown of everything I've learned and save you the research. Famitsu weekly has shown info on each DLC pack at least a week before it releases. We get Famitsu every Thursday in Japan, Wednesday in America. This Wednesday, no Fire Emblem Warriors info. Only two Wenesdays left in March. Awakening DLC is set for a March release. If you haven't caught on yet, this almost certainly means next Wednesday will be the Famitsu article detailing the DLC, and the Awakening DLC will release the following week; most likely on the 28th. There's also the Fire Emblem Heroes data mining that shows special maps featuring the Awakening DLC characters being available on the, I believe it was, the 29th. So, listen, expect it on the 28th. This is all just speculation based on prior handling of the other two DLCs, but I wouldn't get your hopes up for anything sooner. If they do release it sooner, great. But so far there are no signs of that happening and tons of signs pointing at the 28th.
  2. The update is very mysterious, but I doubt the Awakening DLC was ever planned to be in the direct. I mean, the direct is the perfect place to promote the game one last time before the DLC stops rolling in, and I suspect Famitsu has something to do with FEW not being in the direct. Famitsu not only announced most news about FEW before its release but also announced all DLC up to this point. I'd guess that Famitsu has some kinda deal with Koei or Nintendo that lets them make the announcements. ... But, I'll say again, this update is totally mysterious. No explanation for that.
  3. You know what would be a great UI improvement? Being able to sort the characters. I hate that characters I never use (Ryoma, Corrin, Xander, etc...) are near the top or middle or whatever because it's sorted by game. I just want it to be like normal Fire Emblem where, if you don't use a unit, they slowly make their way to the bottom of the list. Or at least be able to sort by weapon type or by stats. I just need sorting, man. It'd also be great if, while placing units, their support levels with each other would be above their heads like in the recent Fire Emblems. And the customizable avatar really should have been here from the start. I know they said it'd be tough with the cinematics but does anyone play this for the story? This is a game where gameplay is the focus over story and having your own character would be far more appealing than a handful of cinematics with two random characters. Especially because they lean so heavily on Awakening and Fates which let you have a customizable avatar. Seems like an incredibly odd decision to exclude it.
  4. I feel like you may just be unlucky. I, like Jedi, have not once had a crash and I've clocked over 100 hours in this game. I've only ever turned my Switch off back in March when I first got it. Been using only sleep mode for nearly a year now.
  5. 1. It takes exactly 40 support raises with a character to unlock their Voice Gallery. 2. You're pretty much doing what you need to already. My best recommendation is to go to the Hero Challenge map and do the level 20 myrmidon challenge in the upper-center of the map. It'll give you more sword drops which helps raise your chance at one with armorslayer on it.
  6. It's funny, I've seen you tell this story a couple times and I'm always reminded of the first time I did that mission. My characters were also in their 40's with an unpromoted Chrom and I had left Cordelia to guard the base. After, like, 30 minutes into the map I hadn't noticed archers getting into the base and killing Cordelia. It was only the second time I had ever lost someone and there was no way I was restarting. She ended up the only one I lost during that map, so I find it funny that she was the only one who survived for you. Takumi was the first and only other unit I have lost. It was during a bows only mission. Still not sure when I'll bring him back...
  7. I still haven't had a chance to play the update and I've been really wondering something so I'll ask here. I know as of now you can't equip the broken armor models as alternate costumes, but can you view the broken armor models in the character viewer?
  8. Are we talking the 21st in Japan or worldwide? Also, yay Azura! I can finally take antitriangle off of Lissa and have my infantry axe user back.
  9. Wow! Thanks for going through all this experimenting. Really appreciate it. So... No support to C takes 15 or less supports. C to B takes ~17 supports. B to A ? And I'll totally take up your advice on chapter 11. The lava levels would probably be good for that strategy too. They're a bit earlier on so they might take less time to clear. The deploy limit might be lower though...
  10. Sorry if these have all been answered but I've got several questions on supports. 1. Has anyone compiled a list on how much exactly support is raised? I know if you're paired up and defeat a captain you get a heart above your head with who you're paired up with. I also know just having units deployed in the same battle adds a bit to support. 1.5. But just how much do these things contribute to overall support level? Is there a hidden value that people have figured out yet? Is there a limit to how many captains you can kill per battle before you stop raising two units support levels? 2. Is there a list of which side missions are on each chapter to raise supports with specific characters?
  11. Ah okay. Good point about Divining though, I always forget about that. So that means the item drop blessing is at
  12. You should go into the Temple in your Camp and choose the "Rare-Materials Blessing" for 25,000 gold and 100 common materials. It will cause regular captains to drop silver materials like crazy and vastly raise the odds of characters dropping their gold materials. Remember that it will only last for one battle, so you have to remember to receive the blessing everytime you plan on grinding. (Also not too sure if this is a blessing you can get right away or if it's unlocked after leveling up your Temple with Anna's Mementos...) Also, just to be sure that there is no confusion, only the captains (enemies you can lock onto) can drop silver materials.
  13. Nope. You have to get an A rank between two characters to get their essences.
  14. It's also worth noting a couple of things: 1. The 2000 KO count also includes KOs your other playable characters get while you're NOT controlling them. So say you have a map where you're controlling Chrom and Robin and you never switch to Robin but you could. You get 1500 KOs with Chrom and Robin gets 500 while the AI is controlling him. You will still get S rank. 2. If you pause to the map (where you can issue commands to units) and move your cursor to an empty square on the map, it will show on the left side (for Switch) the conditions to meet S and A ranks. It will also show if you have met or failed the conditions. Like, it'll say: 12:00/15:00 Minutes 1500/2000 KOs 20%/80% Damage taken Meaning 3 minutes before failure, 500 KOs before success, and 60% more damage you can take before failure.
  15. I've gotta say my favorite is Lyn, with honorable mentions to Ryoma and Frederick. She's just so ridiculously fast. Same goes for Ryoma. I've never even liked Ryoma's character or design, but my word is he fun to play as. Frederick is just brutal, man. The sparks that fly as he drags enemies on the ground with his axe is just oh so satisfying. Least favorite would be any of the Pegasus Knights. I really tried to get into the Pegasus Knights. I used Caeda all the time because I needed a lancer and she was my favorite of the three. I just find them so hard to use and to concentrate my attacks on the bigger enemies. It was starting to annoy me that any time I saw a sword boss to fight that I felt obligated to deploy a Pegasus. Once I got Swordreaver for an axe I gave it to Lissa and now just pretend she's a lance infantry. Never used a Pegasus again. Least used overall is probably Tiki though. I just don't feel like dealing with the transformation thing. Funny because I used Young Link all the time in Hyrule Warriors...
