Boons and Banes are...

Good stuff all around with the Part 2 manual lineup. I think I will start saving up for the Heroes/Awakening/Fates branch since I could always use more Spendthrift Bow and then Three Houses or Tellius looks like the next best ones for me.

Ayra and Ishtar got nice refines. L'Arachel's Ivaldi looks interesting but I'm not sure if I want to use 200 Dew for her since I already have blade tome on her.

It's been over a year and a half since they were both added and neither of them are really that unique in Heroes (demoted staff unit and people didn't really seemed too interested in a flying dagger with a beast effective prf) so I'm not that surprised they are forgotten about. But considering they are female characters from TH I don't think it will take that much longer for IS to decide to make an alt for Petra, Annette and Mercedes.

I think there is only one version of Mercedes and Petra in Heroes at the moment as well.

Part of me thought they would have the next Three Houses banner in April but I guess they are doing it this month instead. Maybe next month will be Echoes or Fates. Don't really want or need anyone besides Ingrid maybe but I will most likely skip here. I would rather have orbs for the AHR and Spurn banners later this month. Also, Solon is the GHB unit. Get ready for another gimmicky red tome unit.

@Unknown Gamer11 I was surprised to see Ewan double Claude. He took down all of his other opponents very easily as well. Great clear!

I'm guessing the Mythic Hero this month will be green and next month the Legendary Hero will be red or blue. Not really sure who would fit as a green mythic though besides Anankos or a Tellius character maybe. The banner is going to be a skip to me regardless though since the AHR banner is more enticing with Serios, L!Dimitri and L!Corrin on it.

So Seiros, Duo Lyn, L!Corrin and L!Dimitri will be our banner units. Blue and colorless will be the only colors worth pulling on the banner but its looking like a pretty neat banner since I am fine with all four units with the fodder they provide or lift reduction in Serios' case.

One of the things I really appreciate about the next update is the friend limit increase. Personally would have preferred 200 instead of 150 but I guess it is fine for now. At least I don't have to reject new friend requests soon. I'm curious to see what units will be added with the part 2 divine codes. Since the update is coming out on March 3 I guess the trailer for the next new heroes banner will be out on Tuesday night.

Looks like I guessed Ayra and Ishtar as being in the next refine batch. I'm happy to see L'Arachel's Ivaldi finally getting a refine. Hopefully they do something different with it and not make it too similar to Gleipnir. Seeing as they did Lyon this month hopefully Marisa will be next in April.

I decided to join Corrin's team. I was torn between her or Micaiah so I decided to flip a coin and it ended up being Corrin. Though I'm fine with whoever wins between Freyja and Corrin since both gives out good fodder.

@SatsumaFSoysoy That's a nice Ninja Hana there. I run a similar skillset on mine. Yeah, Claude was just too fast for any of my units to double him. I miss when my units were the fastest but that's Gen 5 speedcreep for ya. I wanted Plegian Bow for NY!Anna but I didn't want to spend orbs on the Plegia banner so I skipped it for now. I decided to wait until Raphael shows up on a double seasonal banner with W!Sephiran or NY!Plumeria. @GuiltyLove I guess you could say Claude outschemed himself on his own map. I like how you had B!Claude finish L!Claude off. Nino looks great with her refined weapon as well. @Maaka Bartre being able to quad Claude was impressive. I was also surprised to see S!Bartre take down that red fafnir easily. Nice clear! @Landmaster Starfish was a nice choice in avoiding the Flash Cleric from attacking your units. Great clear as always. @Alexmender It's not often I see Norne using the Guard Bow she starts off since most people switch it out for a different bow. Ninja Hana was impressive as well. I'm guessing you are waiting on grails for that last merge? Nice to see Eirika still being able to pull off solo clears.

I'm guessing Ayra, Ishtar, Lyon and one of Sothe or Helbindi. That's assuming they are still not giving refines to Gen 1 dancers and 3/4 star staff units.

Interesting concept they are going for with Pokemon Legends Arceus. I'm curious to see where they go with it and look forward to more news on it in the future. For the D/P remakes so far it looks like a straight port but I wonder about some things such as I'm hoping they use Platinum's Pokedex (seeing Porygon Z in the trailer makes think so) and if Dynamax will be forced into the region. I would be fine without Dynamax since I never found it interesting. Noticed Dialga and Palkia were also missing and I'm assuming they are going to get some type of new form change that will serve as the box art for the games.

I didn't even notice that they already announced and released a new Legendary Hero until today. At least L!Claude isn't really a threat on PP and his map was kind of simple as well. I ended up doing two clears this time with the usual redhead team and even did my first Abyssal one turn clear since the map had a easy setup for it. Anna Team Clear One Turn Clear

I'm also of the sentiment that Arena and AA gets harder every day but that is pretty much the nature of the game where you fight other people's units and stronger units get released. At the very least I wish they would change Arena Assault to where I only need to win five matches instead of seven since having to fight teams with L!Azura, L!Chrom and L!Dimitri in them seven times in a row every week is tiring and an annoyance for me.

@GuiltyLove I see you used Jill and Elincia as well. Ashnard is very bulky and looks great for a grail unit, even surviving Duma with 1 HP. Great clear! @Maaka Nice one turn clear as always. I was wondering how you were going to get the lance cavalier on the left but Micaiah looked like she was the right answer. @Landmaster Thani refine looks powerful on Micaiah. All those damage reduction skills seemed to have helped against the horde of enemies this map throws at you. Nice clear! @SatsumaFSoysoy Mia and Micaiah went on a slaughter fest. Zelgius also did well knocking out everything he fought on EP. Nice clear!

As much as I would love to see Estelle or Adol (or anyone from one of Falcom's series really) with only two slots open left it's looking very unlikely for that to happen. Also, I don't really see them doing three RPG characters in a row. For the last two DLC characters I predict one of them is going to be a more well known third party character that would be the E3 reveal (though I don't know if they are bringing that back this year) and the last one is probably going to be a Gen 8 Pokemon because DLC cycles usually ends on a low note with a first party character. So in other words I'm keeping my expectations low since Fighter Pass 2 has been nothing but a disappointment in my eyes with all their character choices thus far.

People can already get Grail units with boons and banes. You just have to pay the Trait Fruit tax to change them.

I wasn't for sure if I could win this time since I my Tellius lineup is kind of weak but I gathered what I had and mostly relied on the freebie Altina to clear this for me.

I expected nothing and that's pretty much all I saw here today, nothing of note. Oh well, I guess my Switch will continue to gather dust in my closet. At least I kept my expectations low. Surprised to see people say they were expecting a FE announcement here. Honestly I wasn't really expecting anything FE related here. It could just be that whatever IS is currently working on isn't done or they just want to announce there next game closer to it's release date. They seem to have a tendency to release new stuff in late summer anyways based off past years.

I'm expecting nothing but disappointment as usual from these Directs. But really though I hope Nintendo announces something that interests me especially since I haven't turned on my Switch since the end of 2019. Confirmation for the Great Ace Attorney would be great even though I will end up playing them on PC instead if it happens. Something like FEW2 or Mario Kart 9 would be neat but I'm not expecting either of them. Pokken 2 as well but I'm not expecting anything Pokemon related here unless it involves Smash Bros since Game Freak is probably doing their own Pokemon announcements on the 27th.

I'm only interested in a Fates banner coming soon especially if the banner lineup is Anna/Charlotte/Nyx/Benny or Anna/Nyx/Dwyer/Sophie. I'm thinking the next Fates banner will be Conquest focused characters. That said if it is really Echoes next Luthier, Tatiana, Zeke and either Palla or Mycen seems like the likely lineup for it. My prediction for the next few months is March will be Echoes or Fates, April will be Three Houses, May will be Fallen Heroes as always, and the Midpoint banner in June will be Echoes if it still hasn't gotten a banner at that point or Blazing Blade. Though to be honest I really don't want March's banner to be Echoes or Fates because I want orbs saved up for the AHR banner and the Spurn banner New Mystery revival banner.
