If you are talking about the title screen it's random who says it depending on which characters you have unlocked. If you are talking about the navigator during battle and the menu screens then you have to raise Marth's support level with other characters a certain number of time (unfortunately I don't remember exactly how much but you'll want Marth to support everyone anyways in order to pass Paragon around). As soon as you get the game. DLC characters can be used after chapter 2 of story mode. Do note however that Azura will be broken if you keep her Blessed Lance equipped since it has far higher MT(160) than any other weapon you'll have at the moment but is extremely helpful for dealing with monsters on Chapter 14/15 if you don't like using mages. Depends which characters you are trying to support. Characters from the same game support faster with each other. Example: Marth with Caeda/Tiki, Xander with Leo/Elise/Niles, etc. Anna/Celica/Lyn take the longest to support grind with everyone. Otherwise they will take awhile unless you bought the DLC. Fates DLC has Bond Charm which lets characters gain support points until you hit the max unless you don't have their C and B support level yet. Shadow Dragon's DLC will also have a blessing to help speed up the support grinding. Hopes that helps.

I picked Corrin but that might be because I'm biased for them and they were the first dragon I saw in Fire Emblem. Ninian would have been my other pick since her dragon form looks nice too.

If you are talking about Leo's/Elise's Strong 5 that's Moonlight, which is also the name of Elise's personal weapon.

In the base game though wasn't the infantry lance moveset incomplete? The mooks plus npc Oboro use only the basic combo string and two or three strong attacks. Plus I don't think there was any data at the time for Oboro's specials because they wasn't finished with her. In a way the Fates DLC came with one moveset clone (Niles), one new moveset (Azura) and one semi-unique moveset (Oboro). I can possibly see Minerva getting Camilla's basic combo string but the strong attacks being different because Camilla only uses fire in her strong attacks. Besides, when I first heard the DLC having Linde and Tharja I immediately latched onto the idea of Linde's moveset being light magic while Tharja uses dark magic to contrast each other and set them apart from the other mages. Ugh, Feb. 14 or an early trailer for these characters can't come soon enough!

That's fine. I'm quite a pessimist myself and yeah it usually is best to keep your expectations low regarding game announcements and such especially in regards to Nintendo and their games. It's just that I see way too much overblown negativism about this game in regards to character roster and movesets and the game in general that people seem to treat as Fates 2.0 and say nothing but complaints about it.

Personally, I think people are looking for any excuse just to act negative towards this game. People also thought that Azura and Oboro would be clones of each other and that didn't happen. Besides, Linde and Minerva are completely new characters being added into the game. It would just look bad and lazy to just add new characters using movesets that were already in the game especially since it has been two months they made Azura's moveset. I don't think I have ever seen a game whose DLC characters had a moveset of another character already in the game besides Roy in Smash4. But even then I think they attempted to make him slightly different but I'm not completely sure since I didn't get him.

Sounds great. I have been waiting to hear a confirmation for Anna's, Caeda's and Tiki's prf weapons. That just leaves the remaining Awakening characters (Cordelia, Lissa, Frederick and Robin) as the only ones without a prf weapon which they should get next month.

In a way I am relieved that the Valentines banner focuses on characters from Elibe because now people can't say that seasonal banners only focus on Awakening/Fates characters. I'm really digging the medieval aesthetics they got going on. Sadly though I think I will skip banner since most of them don't have skills I'm looking for nor do I feel like letting Lilina pitybreak my chances for Hector since I already have a +9 Cecilia. Depends on the who the other bonus units are going to be on the next TT. Also, is it just me or is Lyn's eyes bigger here than usual?

Oh look, finally some information on SD DLC. I have been looking for an excuse to play FE Warriors again. Of the three new characters I'm looking forward to using Linde the most. I'm sure she won't be a Robin clone and will have a move set based on light magic and Aura. Navarre is likely to be the only move set clone we'll get here. Also, I know someone already said this but I'm also hoping for a Linde/Cordelia support just to continue the tradition of characters with the same English voice actor getting a support conversation with each other. And finaaly, Warriors is doing what Heroes hasn't done yet and gave Marth an alt costume.

Not to mention Divinestone for Tiki and most likely Anna's Bow for Anna.

Here's the team I mainly use This is the team I use when I want to quickly finish quests or I have no bonus unit for TT And this is not really a team but a bunch of other units I like using every now and then.

Ah yes, it's been a few weeks since I played this game but now I remember why characters like Anna, Caeda and Elise are good in this game due to luck being the dominating stat.

Free pull from Hero Fest was B.Ike. IVs were +HP/-Spd. Is this the game's way of taking pity one me after another failed attempt of getting PA Azura? Also, not really sure if I can salvage him with his lack of speed or if I should fodder his steady breath off to one of my manaketes especially since Anna, Cherche and Frederick are already my main axe users.

Yeah, I finally beat the first one today and now I'm interested in seeing how the second game picks up after the first game's ending.

I finally see the CYL2 results and I see that Marth ended up losing to Ephraim after all. I didn't vote for him nor do I really pay that much attention to him but I can't help but for sorry for the guy mostly due to his votes being split up again. Oh well, maybe next year. At least his Falchion is getting a refinement soon. Also, surprisingly enough I noticed that if all of Anna's vote were added up she would actually beat Cordelia and would have placed 11th for the women's side and 19th overall. I found that interesting. Surprised to see Veronica get 4th but I really don't care about her overall. I can say the same for distant counter fodder Hector and litrblade rallyman Ephraim, don't really for either of them. If IS lets a pick a freebie again I'll take whatever they give Celica since I actually like her.

I'm giving all my votes to PA Azura. I hated how both times she has shown up she was sharing the banner with other green units especially since I spent three hundred orbs on both banners and got cursed with PA Inigo, Gunnthra and Summer Xander. Besides, who wouldn't want a free refresher unit or free triangle adept fodder.

Decided to do some pulls on the Legendary Banner and at 9% pity break I end up with these... SIgh...definitely didn't want a summer unit, let alone three of them! And yet PA Azura continues to evade me.

Unfortunately I just bought the second game for PS3 so I won't be participating (I still need to finish the first one). Good luck to everyone else though!

I'd be okay with 'Brave' Morgan but only if Owain comes along with her since he is also 12th on the guys side at the moment. I'm sure Severa and Inigo aren't that far behind them on the CYL2 poll either. Speaking of which, I wouldn't be surprised to see a future Awakening banner depicting those four considering last month we had a Fates banner with their child units.

Interesting results for the midterms. I'm happy to see three characters that I voted for (Owain, Delthea and Kliff) are in the top twenty. I knew Celica would rank high this time but didn't expect her to be in number 1 on the women's side at the moment. Alm is not doing too bad himself and it looks like Marth is going to get screwed over by split votes again. Wasn't expecting Alfonse to be the favorite one of the Askr trio either. Wouldn't it be Veronica and Loki though since Veronica is currently number 5 on the girls side?

I used to enjoy watching letsplays but for the most part find them boring nowadays. Sometimes though I'll have Protonjon's Yoshi's Island or Warioland letsplays on in the background. I mostly watch Super Mario Maker videos now done by a guy called CarlSagan42. I find him very entertaining to listen to.

Tiki's manakete form does feel rather sluggish despite the game saying she has apparently 6 movement compared to the 5 movement for the other infantry units. I rarely use Tiki though. I wished I used her more but I'm not really a fan of her Awakening mode gimmick or her untransformed moveset.

I would like to believe that and there is some merit to it but at the same time I can see some fans of Lucina and even Lyn also being fans of Tharja/Camilla and voting for them this time. But it's really all just speculations because we really don't know how everyone is going to use their votes and we won't know for sure until IS show the results. Really though, even though this is supposed to be an event where you vote for your favorite FE character all I see it as is a competition between Lords+Tharja/Camilla. Actually, now that I think about it I hear people say Nino has a chance due to her resurgence in popularity and her viability in Heroes but I haven't heard much about another potential upsetter, Cordelia. Cordelia is another popular character from Awakening and both her normal and bridal variants in Heroes are very good. I could see her getting in the top 5 for females this time or even second place.
