  1. Renais rushed forward and lifted a staff up. "Gean, let's move. Too much to do and too little time!" It shined bright and pulled her mermaid girlfriend to her side with a warp sigil. Renais moves toward 7, 12 and uses the Rescue staff on Gean to move her toward 7, 13
  2. "Well I got an eye for beauty I guess, and fortune favors the bold." It was a very text book approach, one he expected the lady in his eye to know well, but he had to play his hand no matter what. When the cocktail slid out he took it and rolled over a card to take care of the tab. "Much appreciated. If she's really that popular then I got my work cut out for-" But his gaze drifted enough to notice someone completely unexpected. The person in his eye wore something akin to a biker helmet, and was rather short. As soon as they spoke Leon's eyes widened. "..." Ah, is this really how tonight is gonna go? He changed his plans and pulled the glass close to himself as he settled in. "Howdy." He shot her a glance. "Pretty sure we met earlier, in your boss' meeting room if I remember that right." He couldn't help but eye her figure and wonder what her deal was. "Come here often?"
  3. Azame went off as soon as they hit the road, Leon let out another laugh as she indulged herself. "Well you got the spirit that's for sure." He couldn't help but hum the tune himself, but he kept his eyes through the window as she drove off. He studied the city as best as he could, but he still managed to have a good time riding shotgun with someone fun like her. "Nice drive." Once they got to the entrance of the bar, the red head stepped out with Azame and eyed the doors. "Hammered like a nail I'd bet, looks like a fancy enough place to get what you want." He looked at Azame. "Hell if I get something juicy here I'll treat you to whatever you want!" He partially wondered if he just signed a blank check, but decided it was something to deal with later. The merc scanned the bar as soon as they got inside, and he liked what he saw. "Not bad at all. I've seen plenty of bars back on earth, but this one's pretty cozy. I'll be in view don't worry, just gotta get to work." With that said he stepped through the bar at a slow pace while he continued his search. Now...who stands out the most here? Other than Azame anyway. He briefly caught Marianne and Senri. She certainly stands out, think I'll give that a shot...just need some build up. So he stepped over to the bar and waved at the bartender. "Yo. I was hoping to send a pretty lady a drink, think you can arrange that?"
  4. Renais rushed behind Gean and the others, she kept her eyes square on her girlfriend's toned back. Renais had expected pure weapons of course given everything up to this point, but it was still information that kept her on her toes. Not just for herself, but for all the Tigers. Renais moves 5, 4
  5. Azame really was a playful type, she got Leon to laugh lightly. Hanging out with other pretty women...wonder what the captain thinks about that. He walked over to the vehicle and got in shotgun. "I like all kinds of music, country, rock, jazz. That said I feel like my voice might wake the dead if I sing, but I'll give it a shot. Hope it's a karaoke bar, I was gonna snoop around for info." He pulled the seatbelt on. "But for real thanks for showing me around, I owe ya."
  6. Nathan took a good look at the cookies in his hand, and he let out a chuckle. "Much appreciated, Mikhail. I'll return the favor." He smiled at his companion. Maybe being in a group has it's perks. He turned to see Ichika address Alouette again, and he looked like he wanted to say something but he withheld. Meanwhile, Eve took a good look at Alouette and Ichika. Seems like they had a busy day. The pinkette simply smiled at the team. "By all means get all the rest you can tonight, we'll be leaving an hour before noon tomorrow." When the group began to disperse she leaned back in her chair and sighed. So much to do, and I feel like there's not enough time to do it in. Soon enough she decided to call it a night too, and soon enough the night had shifted to the next day. The sun had lifted above Crecia and the inn the group stayed at, while some of the group slept in for a while longer a certain swordsman from Lohengrin was immediately called downstairs for a surprise meeting between Eve and Alexandra. The discussion was brief and to the point: Alexandra had to return to Lohengrin and she needed Miles back, Eve didn't protest she simply let the two leave the inn. Though she looked aside with a furrowed brow and a tsk from her lips. "Damn..." Nate stepped down as soon as her meeting ended, he noticed her expression and stepped up to ask. "Did something happen?" "Ah, Nate. Morning." She turned her head toward the fighter and softened her expression. "Well, I hope you didn't get attached to Miles. Alex took him back, apparently something changed. Before you ask, it's not about the war. It's about Saratara, the nation near Lohengrin and Garmr." She sighed. "It doesn't concern us immediately, but either way it cost us some help." The blond looked over Eve's shoulder and watched the princess and her retainer leave. "All the more reason for whoever's left to put in their all then, I'm sure they can handle whatever happened."
  7. Louise's playful smirk and response was the last thing he expected to see today, but she was serious about making things right. Looks like the clouds are out of the sky. He was relieved, but that didn't mean he was going to give up on Sia. "Have fun." He gave a brief wave to the ladies before he turned back to Azame. "Oh you do? Well lucky me." He smiled wide. "I messed up earlier, big time. Really got the captain upset, so I wanted to make it up to her. So I wanna go find a good bar to listen for something juicy to bring back." He stepped up to his buxom partner. "It's in my nature to scope out new places anyway, so I hope you don't mind." Wonder if she's good in a fight, she did have a good grip.
  8. "Oh, if you could let Avery know I wanna talk later I'd appreciate it!" He called out to Amy before he dived into his thoughts. Shiva's gone missing, that's a problem alright. But if he can survive a Blackwell assault then he can survive anything...I hope. Leon recalled the mission he led to deal with Shiva, it not only ended in failure it cost Leon his friend. I hope he's alive, so I can-! Leon failed to notice the stacked beauty's approach, his hand was firmly in her own by the time he turned his head to her. "Ah? Oh, yeah. Ignited is-whoa!" And off they went! She pulled the merc off before he could say another word, with all force behind her arm and the right amount of softness in between the two. "You're sure excited, I like it." But before the two could get to the transport a certain pilot approached Leon, and to his surprise she opened with an apology. His expression was one of shock, he almost wondered if this was an odd dream. "Uh..." He took a moment to get himself back to reality, and pulled back his expression to something a little more neutral. "It's fine, you can stay and...hey it's no big." He just nodded. "Trust me, I've heard way worse back in my live training days. But I can respect your attempt at trying to mend a bridge." He reached out for her hand and took it. "I accept your apology, miss Park. I know we both want the same thing, but don't forget there's no hard feelings between us no matter what happens. I didn't come to the ship to hold grudges after all." He briefly shook her hand.
  9. The mercenary held back some surprise at being checked out by the pretty lady; though it was nice for a change. "What, you wanna hang with a bad boy like me?" He stepped over and gave a small smile. "Name's Leon Silvavolke, ex-merc gone straight." Very straight. "I was actually lookin' for a partner for the day, so sure. I'll take you up on that offer." Though he held himself back a little, Sia was literally next to her after all. Speaking of Sia, the captain moved onto some serious business about Ambassador Shiva's whereabouts, or rather the lack of information on just that. Leon shifted his expression to a somewhat serious one. "She's been looking for the Ambassador?"
  10. Once the meeting concluded Leon took a moment to change into a more casual outfit, he did not want to get caught out in the streets in that uniform of all things. Truth be told he wasn't used to it anyway, despite it being just his size. He was better off in a casual jacket and collared shirt. The mercenary took his time getting to the hanger, and once he got there he spotted the captain addressing quite a good looking lady. He decided to step over and wave to the group. "Don't mind me, keep the conversation going." He eyed Sia a little and hoped he wouldn't run into Toki or any of her squad while they were out, he knew he was going to have a hard time keeping low as it is.
  11. Cassandra was certainly in high spirits, Renais couldn't blame her considering what was on the docket today. Everyone else followed suit, including Roxanne who seemed to recover from her understandable shock. Luthier's cadre was one thing, the atmosphere is intense. Emotions for the fallen had been high, so Renais felt she had to keep a level head and not get swept up in the rising adrenaline. She moved quietly behind the group and kept her wits about her while she did. "I'll be with you all every step of the way, including you Roxanne! So don't forget that!" Renais stepped toward 9, 5
  12. The glance Sia made got Leon to look back with a serious expression, and when she did it a second time all the red head could do was smile awkwardly. "Roger that, captain. I'll make sure I watch my back, and I'll make sure whoever joins me does the same." Louise had already volunteered to be Sia's partner as she went out, Leon put aside his rivalry for a moment despite wanting to rise to the occasion as well. He wanted to focus on getting educated first. Kazue had been the first to leave once the meeting concluded, seemed like she had a lot on her mind. I'll be sure to find her soon. He stood up and walked toward the door. Who am I taking though, that's the question...
  13. "You really are the one of the last of the people I need to worry about, it's just my nature to be concerned for everyone's safety. The closer you are to my heart the more I want you safe and sound." She stepped over and sat next to the kitsune and Akai. "But you're right, Jeremiah isn't an easy opponent when he's serious, so I really do think you'll be fine. It's just Luthier really gave me a scare, I want nothing more than to..." Her thoughts drifted to a darker side, Renais had never hated anyone as much as she had that man. Kise could see her face twist into a slight scowl, but Akai's whine brought her out of it and back to a smile. "Ah, no. He's not worth the thought, not when there's work to be done." She gently put her hand on Kise's. "I know you'll keep your promise, Kise. I'll try not to worry as much, but I was thinking, once our business concludes here maybe we can do something fun. You, me and Gean. I think we could use the R&R, maybe I could convince Lucy to cover for me too. I'd feel bad giving her so much work but...well I'll make it up to her." She looked Kise in the eye. "What do you think?"
  14. Rina and Raz went ahead and challenged the bandits, it seemed like they had the situation under control. As a gambler, Silvano had to learn about restraint. So he practiced the concept and stood his ground for a moment. Silvano will wait for one turn for his next action, but only one turn!
  15. Renais watched as Kise strut her way from the fight, it seemed like she was fine. Jeremiah seemed fine too...well until he got more challengers in the form of Sari and Aly. She would have wished him good luck, but as a Tiger she hoped her allies would give him a run for his money anyway. It is a little nice to see him be pushed so hard... Renais was in awe at Kise's abilities, she really was strong. "Be careful, Jeremiah. I'm taking a break." She made her intent loud and clear before the fight between the student, master and the student's partner began. as she made her way over to her resting girlfriend and Akai. "I'm sorry, Kise. I should have known you'd be ok. But to go toe to toe with the great Jeremiah himself is...astonishing." She got a little dramatic near the end of her sentence as she lifted a hand up, she's been reading drama books with Miria again. "If you don't mind, may I rest with you? It's been a long day after all."
  16. Renais watched as Kise approached Jeremiah with a...very devilish look in her eyes. A small part of Renais told her that this wasn't going to be like the other sparring matches, and in another second she was right. A powerful blast of her magic had been a signal of that! For the first time, Jeremiah was staggered and injured significantly, but he wasn't out. He delivered his own attack that injured Kise, and she responded with claws. It really did seem like they were out for each other's lives, which shocked Renais to her core. "KISE!" Despite the crowd starting to gather, the pinkette shouted out. "Space! Give them space! I need to work!" It seemed like Lucretia had Jeremiah handled, which left the fox girlfriend to the cleric. She made her way to her side as fast as she could and lent her as much healing as she could. "What was that?! You two looked like you wanted to..." She stopped herself and huffed. "...don't move, please. He really didn't hold much back did he?"
  17. After his actions at Avyndor's office Leon had decided not to input a whole lot to the meeting and simply left most of it to the superior officers, he was too busy pondering on the events to do so anyway. Despite everything that's happened today Shezsacosh is right, we can't make a difference without knowledge. It was one of the most important lessons his uncle and father taught him, the difference between a skilled merc and a bad merc is knowledge. It was the cornerstone of every single war, and the difference between victory and defeat. Alrenne suggested the crew go about the city to relax, Leon saw it as an opportunity to gain info. He needed to learn more, he couldn't rest until he did just that. Time to redeem myself.
  18. "Jeremiah is certainly in a league of his own, but given how some of the Tigers have surprised him I don't think we're as far from the peak as we thought." The pinkette spoke out to Koba before she turned back to see Iris being taken care of by Roxanne. "I'm sure your fight with Jesse was good either way, lately I've learned more from loss than victories." Losing Mikoto hit Renais fairly hard, though regaining her as Kise did help ease her mind she still blamed herself for her capture in the first place. "Seeing everyone fight and train really makes me want to learn more about my magic, so I can do more than just tend to their wounds." She looked serious for a moment. "But I am grateful I can still contribute in my own way, Koba."
  19. Eve happily took a candied apple from Mikhail and gave him a charming wink. "Jasmine's an important port town for Isolde, it directly leads to Lohengrin. So naturally all the trade and general cruising routes are set there." She took a small bite and swallowed. "It seems like the guard around the area spotted suspicious activity around the docks and some movement after curfew. The problem is they haven't really caught any concrete leads as to who's doing the moving and why. My guess is either the suspects are about as experienced as shinobi..." She eyed Taka for a brief moment. "...or there might be magic afoot, which also potentially means Regalia. Either way everyone here has something to offer in both scenarios, so yes I know you'll be needed soon Taka." She turned her attention to Alouette and Miles. "The guests are really just Lohen nobles for the most part, the staff at Jasmine have more information in that regard as well as details on where we can start with our investigation. This is a little...touch and go so I only have so much to work with, but I think it'll smooth out when we get there." She smiled. "If anyone has any other questions for me you can find me in my room tonight, or right here right now." Nathan eyed Eve as she spoke, but his gaze drifted over to Ali as Eve answered her question. Hmm...maybe tonight? No...tomorrow morning. She must be exhausted. He turned back to his own plate. "I have no questions, none right now anyway."
  20. When the crowd separated from Miria the battle between Jeremiah and Gean had finally happened, something Gean had been anticipating for quite some time. Renais kept an eye on the mermaid as she and the Lufirian swordmaster dueled, and to her surprise Gean had come out on top as the victor after a clang loud enough to make the pinkette wince. Sharp hearing is a curse sometimes... When she recovered she turned her eyes to her girlfriend and Akai, she sent some healing her way from a distance. Even if her injuries were light she wanted her to be well, she also took the chance to blow her a kiss and a wink when she noticed. She moved on to Koba's side when he dropped from Jesse's attack and lent him her healing too. "Doing alright over here? Seems like Iris and Jeremiah are about to fight, it'll be a show alright."
  21. "If I had a dime every time I heard that one I'd treat everyone in this room to a five star meal, but either way...till next time." He kept his gaze on Toki as he continued to step back toward the elevator. While they were more or less off the hook the most tragic ends are always when backs are turned to the bigger party. Judging from the size of Tanvir, they were absolutely the bigger party. Still, he kept his mind as blank as he could now that he knew she was a Newtype. When Sia got on the elevator he stepped back into it himself and kept Daeran in his field of vision. They wanted him after all, I'll bet this ain't the end of that deal.
  22. Toki was nothing short of insane, at least in Leon's book. She seemed disappointed by Daeran's answer, but snapped right back to her happy go lucky phase. All while holding a gun at the captain and Hannah, and proclaiming her intent to throw the moon in anarchy. It was obscene to look at. So the situation on the moon is a lot more twisted than we thought. All the more reason to do some digging... He intended to anyway, but it seemed like they had a lot more motivation on their plate. The fox woman lowered her gun and stated Sia was afraid, which heavily hinted that she was also a Newtype on top of being a cyborg. Wasn't friggin' trained to handle something like her that's for sure... Though truthfully, Leon didn't need to be a Newtype to guess Sia was afraid. She put on a great front, but with the threat of being shot and the situation as tense as it was she was only human. But...that's fine. Once the situation had rolled to a close Leon stepped close to Sia and put his hands on her shoulders. "Y'know, fear is an excellent motivator miss Shezsacosh. Take it from someone who learned the meaning of it, the captain's done an admirable job here gotta say." He looked Shezsacosh in the eye with an unflinching gaze. He knew his action may have put the room back on edge again, but it didn't stop him from supporting Sia. "Don't worry, I'm not gonna do some crazy ass stunt everyone's expecting me to pull. I just want to personally thank you for the information you've given us today, it's a powerful tool. It's something I'm sure everyone will simmer on back on the Dawn. So captain, by your leave..." He kept his gaze on the fox woman, and his hands on Sia's frame to keep her from shutting down right there. At the same time, he shifted his weight slightly on his heels, and was ready to move the second Sia gave the order to...or someone tried to make another move.
  23. Jeremiah was as confident as ever given how he returned the tease, something in Renais wondered if he wanted to flex his might. But at the same time she didn't think he was that kind of person. Roxanne took a moment to explain how unique her crystals were, which earned a nod of approval from the pinkette. Something close to Tio's level of magic was certainly something Renais had interest in, she expected a long talk about it with the sheep later. Miria's turn came and Renais gave her best friend a glance and a nod. Skill gap or not, I'll always be in your corner Miria. When the match began Jeremiah wasted no time with offense, he was quick alright. Miria had dropped her optimistic expression and gave this fight all the seriousness she could offer. Jeremiah is strong, very strong. But you won't back down from that no matter what. Your strength of spirit is truly amazing, Miria... Before Renais knew it, Miria had used a familiar trick she remembered, something Jeremiah probably didn't expect. An explosion went off between the two, and while Miria couldn't get the man himself she did catch his weapon. It was enough for the match to end. Renais had stepped up with the rest of the crowd, but it seemed like Lucy beat her to healing the cub. "You're very quick to react, Lucy. Thank you." She looked at Miria. Everyone had surrounded the girl of the hour, Renais didn't want to suffocate her much more. So she settled on a thumbs up and a wide grin to her bestie.
  24. As expected, Sia's words dug in deep. His stone cold expression winced ever so slightly, the inhaler didn't help either. Shit... Though his mood lifted a little when Kazue chimed in with her attempt to get him off the hook, and when Louise of all people did the same...well that absolutely shocked the ex-merc! It made Leon turn his head to the two ladies, and Daeran who seconded the idea. "Aaah..." Kazue seemed to really be concerned for Leon's well being, Daeran was a bit of a hard read, but Louise was something else entirely. But in the end Leon realized this was not the time to suspect his own squad of anything, not while he was at fault in the end. "...I appreciate it guys, but Kazue you didn't make me step up and protest. I did that myself, and while I'll never regret protecting my team I agree with the captain that it wasn't the right way to do it. I'm the most experienced soldier on the ship...present company excluded of course sir!" He turned to Bonner and gave him a brief salute, and then he turned to make eye contact with Sia. "But that means I have a duty to set an example for everyone on the ship. So like miss Park said, I'll take this lesson to heart and promise I won't act out of line like that again." Though deep down inside Leon knew he probably wouldn't be able to keep that promise if things go awry, it was just something he had to handle when it the time comes. I know you want me safe too, Sia. But in the end I'm just a- His thought was cut as soon as they had reached their destination, and once they did Leon instantly regretted making that promise right when he did. A single woman had been surrounded by a group of unique individuals that fired off several alarms in the red head's mind. His uncle had taught him to instantly spot out danger and threats, and this room was just overflowing with both. The fox woman wasted no time in getting down to business, and before anyone knew it a pistol was aimed right at the captain. Leon's face turned to a horrified one. Though thankfully, Hannah was on the case. She acted as a shield for the captain at just the right moment and instructed Sia to leave with the crew, but Shezsacosh demanded Daeran stay. Leon stood by Sia's side, ready to take her and run back to the elevator, but the captain stood her ground with no fear in her voice. She attempted to negotiate their way out. Argh, dammit! What can I do...? He grit his teeth in frustration, tempted to do...something, anything. But miss Shezsacosh had a point, they seemed to have stronger control over the media. Leon had already stepped on thin ice on top of that too. He was trapped between his impulsive side and his tactical side. But in the end he decided to trust in Sia to de-escalate the conflict for now; he took a moment to scan the room briefly for any other sudden moves. Given everyone's surprise she did this on a whim, this plan of hers might fall apart at any minute...
