  1. When Silvan was scooped by the rider he finally felt some much needed ease. Rivane was the safest person to be around, and he knew it. He's always known it in fact. "Saving my ass again...what a mess..." The young man just let off a sigh, one of relief and frustration. You're always saving my ass, I hate it... He had heard some of the conversation between the birdman and Evelyn the Blademaiden, which was probably the last talk he wanted to hear. The kingdom can burn for all he cared. Well, whatever. At least we're finally getting money... Not knowing what was ahead of them in a few hours. -------------- When the group had returned to the camp Silvano was quick to seat himself on a log and tend to his wound, there wasn't much on hand to work with but it was enough to at least stop the bleeding. All he needed was some rest. The attack was rather embarrassing, so he decided not to talk to the others for the moment as much of a go getter as he usually was. He was just content to shake his dice in his hand, and cast occasional glances toward princess Jilyn.
  2. Tanya's compliment earned Renais a small nod to her, while she appreciated the thought she put all her focus on Jeremiah's words. It seemed like everything she brought up convinced him somewhat, while he had a point about lacking proof he told her enough information anyway. He repeated a list of names off to Renais, most of them stood out to her: Sara, Allegra, Darian. When he got to Melody, her finger twitched by her side. That one struck a chord. "They all...seem familiar. It's not entirely clear, but Melody...that could be my original name." Before she put herself deep in her own mind the pinkette kept focused on Jeremiah as he finished. "You are right, sir Jeremiah. Coincidences aren't as concrete as proof of my claim, and unfortunately I don't have any to give you." She balled her hands into a pair of fists and brought them gently above her healthy bosom as she leaned in toward him. "But I think...I know in my heart that this isn't just a series of coincidences, not when this all feels too right. Kise told me I had Lufirian blood in me, I have no reason to doubt that. Maybe if I keep moving forward my memory will give me a fact only the Rhapsodia family would know, perhaps that will be proof enough." She lowered her hands to her lap. "That all said, this is enough for me for now. I'm grateful you told me all of this, sir Jeremiah." She shifted her lean into a bow.
  3. It all happened so fast. Silvano was confident the mage would be in the dirt, and the next thing he knew he was face down instead. "Oh..." He wondered how the hell his life lead him to this moment, but he figured eventually his recklessness would lead him to an early grave. He took a sigh and clutched onto his father's blade. "Already? Fuck man you're kidding..." He was tempted to throw the sword to one of his comrades, but for the moment he just braced his body and tried to ignore the wound the magic had brought upon him. I hope someone has a plan... Once he heard Rivane's voice he had a feeling things would be ok, or at least he hoped.
  4. The situation moved very fast, it seemed like the princess was...not with them at least! So at this point it was just cleaning up as much as they can and then leave. "I got ya, Cy! Let's roll!" The silver haired man rushed in with his treasured blade to attack the mage Cyrus weakened. Silvano moves 9, 10 and swings Gemini down at the mage.
  5. First blood had been spilt, or rather pummeled. He watched the archer fly off and scoffed. "If that's the guard we gotta worry about this'll be the easiest meal of my life." He chuckled and rushed out to Willow's side. "Nice work, Willow. I'll take the next one though, so don't worry." Silvano reaches 9, 5
  6. Silvano had spent his time idling near a tree as Raz gave the update out to Rivane, it seemed like a caravan was in the area with their target. "Jackpot." He lightly shook some dice in his hand as a smile crept across his pretty face. "Welp, far be it for me to question why a princess would want to travel light." Even though Raz said it may not be a trap, the swordsman wondered against that. Still, even if there was a small chance to nab the princess he'd take it. He could get revenge and money at the same time, it was too good to pass up. "Ready when you all are, can't wait to cash in." He pocketed his dice and rested his hand over his blade's hilt.
  7. "It is as Sari says, I recently learned that I am Lufirian thanks to Kise...as shocking as that may be." She put a hand over one arm as she continued. "I'm missing about five years of my memories before my life with the Silvavolkes, the only real thing I remember is a burning ship in the middle of the ocean and someone screaming for me. Kise told me about the Rhapsodia family and how they travelled across the world once to spread their love of music, and I get headaches whenever I listen to instruments." She narrowed her eyes. "With all this evidence I almost know for a fact that I am a Rhapsodia...it's just too many coincidences." She looked Jeremiah in the eye. "I'm still working out what it all actually means to me, I still see myself as a Silvavolke first and foremost...but I need to make contact with them somehow. That being said I know the current situation makes that extremely difficult..." She sighed. "Do you at least know the name of any missing relatives they may have?"
  8. The man in white simply nodded at Taka's words, he seemed to really be into her story despite it being so short. "Ah, a shinobi from Akatsuki...or is it kunoichi in your case?" He gave Taka yet another smile. "Forgive me for being forward, but if that is what you call boring then the land of Akatsuki sounds like an inspiring place! Color me impressed." He folded his arms and tapped his chin with a finger. "Well, I certainly hope you learn and grow in this group. That being said, since you were so nice to tell me a small tale would you allow me to tell you something in return? A story for a story, though perhaps you might find mine boring in comparison." ------------- "Oooh! So I was right on the money with that, very good. Now your present is..." She flipped another card. "The Lovers upright, which signifies fellowships and unification. Perhaps your new beginning is with others? The Lovers normally doesn't mean a significant other, it could be with comrades." The hooded girl really didn't know, she simply guessed. As she looked over the rest of the cards, Miles could make out a pair of horns that the hood barely covered. ------------- "Oooh, is that right? You are quite a bold one, miss Ichika, addressing royalty like that." She giggled. "I kid, it's quite alright I'm not here to take Alouette away from you. If anything I don't mind giving you two time to bond, as allies you'll be doing a lot of that anyway so being used to each other's company is important." The princess turned her head toward Alouette. "I just got done with a short meeting with the other royals, there's still a lot to be done but I found enough time for a break. The royal guard has caught one of the attackers and they're being questioned, but no information has been brought to light just yet. Whoever these people work for must have some tight contract with them." The princess sighed for a moment. "But that's a problem for the guards now, you needn't worry for the moment. Take your rest now, you'll need it for tomorrow..." She stopped for a moment. "Oh, aha. I may have let that one slip...but your next destination has already been decided."
  9. "There's a pilot out in this crowd?" He answered back. "I don't like that, gut's giving me a bad feeling...but understood!" With that all taken in he rushed out to fire on a nearby Lancer. Leon rushes 22, 27 and fires his shotgun at Lancer A-6
  10. Jeremiah had come forward with quite a task for Lucretia, he really was a capable man but the system limited his movement. "She really has a lot ahead of her, doesn't she." Renais turned her head for a moment to think for a brief moment, but her mind was made up long before he approached. "Gean has given me quite a lot already, the Tigers have as a whole really, but she was stubborn enough to get me out of my shell and it's been worth it. I have you to thank for giving me a reason to stay, Sir Jeremiah." She turned her head back to the man. "Of course I'll support her, I'll never stop. That's my promise to you so you don't have to worry about her." She gave him a small smile. "That being said, there was something I wanted to ask of you. I talked with Sari about this some time ago but I'll ask you too." Her face turned serious. "How much do you know about the Rhapsodia family?"
  11. "Oh no, it hasn't at all. I'm still quite full after our last session aha..." Renais felt better about herself after that, despite feeling embarrassed. "No, it's fine. I have nothing but time on my hands, and I enjoy being in your company." Eye candy and all. "Sure, I'm always happy to learn something new." Before the two could be off however, they were approached by a master and student duo. Renais couldn't help but giggle at Lucy's attempt to woo Sari. "Aaah, you really are a catch though, Lucy. You'll be in someone's arms before you know it." She turned her head to Jeremiah and shook her head. "It's quite alright, sir Jeremiah. Someone of your station is nothing but busy it seems. Especially given we haven't talked yet." She had quite a bit on her mind to let out after all.
  12. Seeing Markus almost drop got Leon worried. "Don't push yourself, man!" He called over the comms before he went ahead and swung on a tank. I gotta take more hits here, not him! Leon moves 21, 24 and Heat Halberds Tank A-4
  13. The plan had more or less been set, Renais was happy the group had such strong leadership at the spearhead. They more or less had some time to kill before the advance on the keep was a go. She eyed Kise as she made her declaration to reopen her shop, it seemed like she was set to regather what she lost. "Good luck, Kise." She gave her girlfriend a brief smile before she pondered on what to do next. I have some people I need to see. Jerimiah, Tio, maybe Alvira...mm I hope they can find time for me. Maybe I should talk with Gean too, we've been through a lot. There was a lot to to, but before she could continue down her plans she heard a familiar voice. A certain fellow pinkette leaned toward her. Even covered up, she was still a sight for sore eyes. "Aaah, Lucy." She did her best to maintain eye contact. "Steal me for combat training? Don't tell me this is more confidence training too." She giggled a bit. "But no, I'd be happy to. I'll have to break away a little later though, I have some things on my mind that need to be tended to." Oh, that might have sounded a bit lewd...oh whatever. Another thing to work on. Fresh Fox Pink Meeting
  14. Alister walked along side Mikhail with his head in his thoughts. I'm glad he's taken to this deal rather well, Mikhail has always been the type to go with the flow. He turned his head to the side slightly. Though, news of the battle in Lohen is troubling. I'll be busy soon. Best to relax while I have the time...? The prince was brought out of his thoughts by Mikhail when he asked about a stand. "Oh, that's a game where you grab an apple. The catch is it has to be with your teeth." He smiled. "Seems right up your alley if you ask me." ------------- Aaah, she has quite a unique aura. Lindt noticed the blank stare, but it didn't seem to phase is grin. "You needn't worry yourself over qualifications, miss Taka. I simply wanted to kill some time, my comrade is busy with his own business so he set me about the capital to occupy myself." He lifted his left arm to brush some hair out of his eyes. "As a storyteller I always have an ear out to exchange tales, care to indulge me?" ------------- The small hooded girl looked through a bag and pulled out a deck of cards. "Oh there's a lot to learn from even small hints of one's future, I assure you! A card reading is worth a thousand words." She deftly shuffled the deck and quickly spread the cards out across the table. "Three cards shall tell your past, present and future. Now let us begin..." She turned a card over, and looked it over. "The Fool Upright, it signifies new beginnings. Perhaps you found one in your past?" ------------- "I see you're already readjusting to Isolde, Alouette." The hooded woman heard a familiar voice ahead, which belonged to a princess in purple she guarded. Lorelei came into view of the two women, she gave them both a curtsy and a smile. "Good morning to you, and you as well miss Ichika. Thank you for keeping Alouette company, and I hope you had a good rest after the battle." She turned back to Ali. "I heard quite a few civilians talk about that attack actually, if it weren't for you two and the others today would have carried a much more dreadful tone to say the least."
  15. Without another word, Leon rushed to the next enemy to keep up the intensity! Leon moves toward 18, 23 and shotgun (AP Slug) blasts Lancer 1-A
  16. Luce seemed a little evasive, but Nate understood they had to keep up appearances. "Aah, yeah. A dancer is quite handy for gathering information, I can see why Eve likes you so much." He watched Luce leave and raised a fist. "You're lookin' at them." He smiled a little, and waved as the cat left. When he was alone he stepped up to the window and sighed. "Picked for a reason, huh? Really makes me wonder what that is..." ------------------- "ACK!" Miles didn't have a booming voice by any means, but it still startled the poor figure, to the point where they very nearly dropped their huge book. "O-oh! A customer! Hello, salutations, felicitations and uh...all that jazz." She cleared her small voice. "Oooh, interested in fortune telling? Well of course you are, considering you're here." She put the book away and put her hands on the table. "Well, let me be your guide to your destiny! Perhaps it is superstition, or perhaps it may be real. Only one way to find out." Miles would notice the figure was robed and hooded now that he got closer. "There are many ways to have your fortune told, for example I could take your palm and read your future from that. Tarot cards, the crystal ball. Unfortunately I can't use the stars since it's the middle of the day, but which would you prefer, good sir?" ------------------- "Pardon me, young lady." Taka would sense someone step up to her bench, the same dark haired young man Alouette had encountered from the wagon. He wore mostly white with a brown mantle over his shoulders, his right arm was mostly covered by that mantle, and his right eye still had a black eyepatch over it. "Could you perhaps spare a moment of your time for...oh wait a moment! You were one of the gate defenders the other day, isn't that right?" He smiled. "What a fortuitous encounter, I was hoping to repay you and your comrades for your deeds. My name is Lindt, a traveler from the desert sands of Saratara. What might your name be, milady?"
  17. The former merc was pleased he made up for his mistake, he lifted his polearm and advanced to his next destination. "Glad to see you're good, Kazue. Stay solid for the next wave, alright?" Leon moves toward 17, 20
  18. It was nice to have someone as skilled as Jeremiah watch over the group, it was one of the reasons why Renais felt better than she did before the attack. With Kise by her side she could relax, for a moment anyway. Eslcas was a significant upgrade to Sipa alright, it almost felt like familiar ground to the pinkette. Renais just stood by Miria, unsure of what to do with herself while the group spoke with Owen. Syndra's presence meant that tensions would be high, and indeed they were. Though she at least had enough help to stand for her defense. Renais wished she could help, but she instead resigned herself to observing the scenery around the castle. Things were certainly a lot simpler back in Glacies, how far we've come...
  19. Leon was quite upset he missed a stationary tank of all things. He noticed his machine felt a little off though, perhaps something to take up with the mechanics. Still, it was something he knew certain people wouldn't let him live down. On top of that, Kazue rushed in again. Though that problem got patched up by a new mech that rushed to 'patch her up'. "...huh. Well thanks for the back up, ma'am. I know it's hard for you to tell some of us apart right now, but the name's Leon. Don't worry if I'm falling apart, keep everyone else a priority. I can take it." With that out there he went out to redeem himself and rushed at another Lancer. Leon moves 16, 17 and Heat Halberds Lancer 3
  20. Nate noted how quick the cat was to get down to business, he gave the girls one last look before he went back in his room and closed the door. I'll find her later, maybe she'll be at Kat's place. Nate's room was fairly simple, there was a bag on the side of the bed and some weights he had out near Luce's feet. "Second in command is...technically right, I think I have the most experience other than her. It was just a position she put on me." He leaned against the wall and pocketed his hands. "It's just...odd hearing that honestly, I'm not a military man." He looked Luce in the eye. "A lot of this was thrown together at the last minute from what I understand. Eve's superiors scrambled around to find bodies to fill the ranks, though...I think certain people were picked for very specific reasons. Who those people were and why that was the case is anybody's guess, though Alouette seems to be picked from her ability to sense Regalia." He tilted his head briefly when Luce went on about the dangers of their job, and at some point he did catch a little of what they were jabbing at. "I know who you are, Luce. At least the basic gist of it, I'm not exactly made privy to everything the church has access to. Not like Eve. Truth be told I had to beg for my position." He pulled his hands out and stepped from the wall. "I'm a wandering fighter, spent a lot of time in Akatsuki. When I came back to the main land I got terrible news, but I couldn't do anything about it on my own. So I used some contacts I knew to connect with Albion, after enough pestering I managed to land a place in this group. Eve is someone I ran into during my training journey." ---------------- The prince returned the wave to the man of Lohen before he set off with Mikhail. "There's certainly a lot to learn in Isolde, I've been here more times than I can count and I'm still taking new things in." He chuckled as he walked along side Mikhail. "Let's see...I think you'd enjoy the local food stalls in town, if you haven't eaten breakfast by this point. Even then I know you have room for more." Mikhail's stomach always astounded Alister. "As Eve said this group is made up of multiple organizations with a common goal, but at the same time everyone has their own agenda. The church of course wants to find the lost Regalia. Lohengrin wants reinforcements for the frontline, Phantasma wants to join the alliance officially, I'm not so sure what Isolde wants." He paused. "And Gottfried is simply settled to see duty being done across Arkus." He turned to Mikhail. "I'm sorry if that sounds like a blanket statement." ---------------- As Miles walked to the town square he would find a small purple tent nearby with a sign next to it that simply said "fortune teller" with quite a few stars on the sign to make it look pretty. It didn't seem busy at all, in fact there was no line to enter at all. If he were to step inside he would notice a petite figure sat before a table with a big book open, they seemed like they were just trying to pass the time waiting for actual activity.
  21. Nathan had finished preparing for the day ahead after some exercise in his room. He had a long look in the mirror as he finished dressing himself in his usual pants, shirt and coat. "Hm...how to approach a girl like that." He thought for a moment. "I'm probably the last thing on her mind, given she lives here and probably wants to catch up...I could meet her at the Baroque house. Maybe..." Before he could finish his plans for the day he heard a knock on the door and turned to it. "Oh, you were Luce." He spoke up and opened the door. "Eve's uh...cat." He took a good look at Luce, and wasn't entirely sure what to make of them. "I guess I technically would be second in command, aha. That's something to get used to." He smiled a little as he eyed Ichika and Ali for a brief moment. "Sure, I got time." He turned back. I'll find her later then. -------------- "You seem to be in high spirits today." A familiar man walked up to Mikhail when he entered the residential area. It was his dear friend Alister, still dressed in his nice suit. "I have some time off, I figured I'd spend some of it with you." He smiled as he stepped up. "If you aren't tired of your prince that is. Though I have to ask, what were your plans today? Just a tour of the town? I spent enough time in Isolde to know my way around so I can help in that regard at least."
  22. "I can understand that, guard duty for royalty is never easy. I'm glad I could help." He did his best to keep his eyes away from obvious points, but when she asked him if her name rang any bells he answered with a serious expression on his face. "Well it's just..." He paused for a moment, as he considered how to approach the subject. "If you're the Alouette I believe you are I hope we can have a minute to chat, I have something to ask of you." He turned away for a moment. "Until then I'll let you enjoy the night, you've earned it." Ali may notice the tone of his voice wasn't one of a flirtatious man, he really did have business with her. Before she had a chance to ask he walked off to take a seat near Eve. "Oh, one more thing." Eve spoke up. "The festival starts tomorrow, and you all can more or less do whatever you want until tomorrow evening when we meet the sponsors." She smiled. "Work will start very soon, so enjoy what free time you all have until then." With that last word the party went on into the night, and eventually the time came for everyone to rest. Alister, Alexandra and Lorelei had bid good night to their charges as Nate escorted them back to the castle. Eve led the group to the Sheltered Rose, an inn just down the block from the restaurant. Everyone was assigned their rooms for the night, and after a long day they had a well deserved sleep. ----------- It wasn't long until morning had arrived over the city, and the alliance squad would wake up to a shining sun and birds chirping just outside the inn. While the inn had been somewhat quiet there was some sound outside. The shopping district had begun to prepare for the festival, a lot of people had spent their time preparing for the day ahead. The streets and shops were decorated with flowers and flags, it was quite a pretty sight. Eve was already out of the inn pretty early, though Nate was still in his own room, everyone else would wake up at their leisure and do whatever they wished as Eve had stated. Though Alouette would notice there was a letter in her room, slipped in from under the door. It was from Katherine Baroque, a name she would recognize. If she were to open and read it she would notice it was an invitation: I hope this letter finds you in good health, my dear friend. I had hoped to greet you in person, but business and the festival has taken my attention. That being said, it is your birthday so we MUST celebrate! I invite you to the manor today at noon for a tea party, you may bring one guest and I will accommodate them. I'll be waiting! - Katherine. PS: Don't worry about my brother, he'll be gone before you arrive.
  23. The fight had absolutely broken out by now, all Leon could do was focus on what was in front of him. "Eat this!" He lifted his heavy halberd and rushed in to smash it down onto a nearby Lancer! Leon moves 18. 17 to swing his Heat Halberd at Lancer 3!
  24. Alister couldn't help but chuckle at Mikhail's response. "Aaah, the fabled son is in his element at long last. I'm happy for you, Mikhail. There's plenty of feasts in your future I assure you." He took a seat. "Soup, hm? Well, sounds good to me!" "Heh, of course Miles! It was easy pickings if you ask me." She chuckled as she looked over the menu. "I hope you've been getting along with everyone, sounds like you guys did great work yourselves! That's why I chose you after all, reliable and strong." She looked back at him with a smile. Lorelei gave an apologetic expression to Alouette's pouting. "I'm really sorry, Alouette. But it does seem like you made up your mind." She took a seat next to her. "You've been with us for so long, I really do appreciate all of your hard work and I'm sure Eve will too. It's only for half a year, but I hope you bring me back a lot of great stories." She gave her a smile, and noted her declaration of being a representative of Phantasma. "Your contributions will help us get one step closer to officially entering in the alliance, thank you Ali." She turned back to her menu and was lost in thought for a moment. Now it's up to me to make sure Phantasma stays on the path I need it to be, it won't be an easy battle... Eve heard Ichika's offer and she tilted her head toward her to listen, when she brought up her experience with magical weapons she locked eyes with the samurai priestess. "Oh, is that right?" Wait, I may have heard something like that before. Eve took a short moment to try to recall what that reminded her of. Is this why Adam had his eye on her? I'll have to ask him later...after I beat him. "That's actually very good to hear, Ichika." She put on a smile. "I'll be sure to keep your own ability to sense out Regalia in mind, all I ask is that you don't bite off more than you can chew. I have a few things I wouldn't mind discussing at some point, but until then let's just relax into the coming night." Eve gave Ali one more nod. "I am blessed to have such a reliable team already, thank you Alouette." Nathan had taken a sigh, his guard duty had ended now that all of the royals had settled in. Granted, he found it funny that he was placed as their escort. He knew all three of them were significantly stronger than he was. The blond walked along to find a chair when he noted a cute red head stop him to express gratitude, but he also noted how...'bouncy' she was as soon as she loosened her harness. "O-oh!" He was surprised, but he tried his best to recover with a quick eye turn. "No thanks needed ma'am, I was just doing my part..." Aaah, settle down Nate. She's just saying thanks...wait, what was her name again? "Wait, did I hear that name right? You're Alouette?"
  25. "We haven't ruled out the possibility of Garmr being involved, Miles. At the same time, we have no proof just yet. Still, I wouldn't put it past the great mind of the Platinum Strategist to have cooked up a whole scheme to gain an advantage in the war." She turned back to Ichika. "That's more or less the plan, but the important thing to note is to avoid engaging anyone wielding Regalia alone. They give the user super natural abilities, if you run into one let me handle it. If possible anyway..." She realized that she may not be around all the time, even with the enhanced speed the choker gave her. "No apologies needed, Alouette. We all worked hard to bring you out of that life, I would never throw away our hard work." She wished she could find a way to reassure her, but perhaps another time. "Well, it seems like we're all in agreement for the moment! Thank you all, truly." She turned her eyes across the table to view everyone. "So before any important work can begin at least half of the members here still need to see their escorts to their meeting, after that then work will begin. Until then, the festival will begin in the morning! Inn rooms will be all set and paid for. If anyone has any questions by all means pester me any time! You can also pester Nate, the big guy in the jacket. He's also a member of the squad, with uh...special circumstances. He's not really my second in command, but he still knows a lot!" A moment later the big blond fighter stepped in and gave a wave to Eve, and behind him were Alister, Alexandra and Lorelei. The blond spoke up. "Seems like we made it in time for dinner...all this running around was a work out..." Alister approached Mikhail and gave him his usual soft smile. "It seems like you're already adjusting just fine, what did you order? I might have what you're having." Alex took a seat next to Miles and let off a sigh. "What an irritating day, those idiots just wouldn't stop running. You have no idea how long it took me to chase them all down." Finally, Lorelei stepped up to the seat next to Alouette. "I'm glad you're alright, Alouette. I hope my gift helped you all." She leaned in a little. "It seems like Eve found you too, I know this is all last minute but I meant to tell you along the way...but you know what happened."
