In Chapter 27, I am pretty sure that the Maids have a special infinite-range Entrap, but it only has one charge and is used in Turn 1, to split your party and make it face different enemies in separate rooms. It is not as difficult at it seems, you just need to pair-up "complementary" units during preparations, so that any pair can face multiple types of enemies after being Entrapped. And the enemies themselves are nothing special, one Sniper or one Master Ninja or one Berserker or one Sorcerer.

The "infinite Enfeeble" is a consequence of Staff Savant, so they have 10-range and infinite uses. And since all units who cause de-buffs (like Dagger wielders and units with Seals) also have the skill Inevitable End, these Maids cause you a -20 to all statistics in 5 turns. That is why you must kill them as fast as possible. In the middle of the map, you also have the Parrot Faces with Hex Rods.

Lunatic is very challenging but still fair until Chapter 27 (Chapter 25 can be either too fast or too long), but Endgame is ridiculously specific about the party composition. That is why I often consider my campaigns as "completed" after Chapter 27. Even if my ten units performed well during the previous twenty seven chapters, they may face an impossible scenario (for me) at Endgame.

Why's that? The Endgame for Conquest doesn't seem all that difficult compared to the rest of the game; what makes it hard?

All that would be fine, if not because those Maids also have Inevitable End, which stacks every and all de-buffs (and they wield Silver Daggers, and they have infinite Enfeeble staves, and other enemies in the map have Seals... Yeah, fun.)

That sounds dumb... I heard Conquest Lunatic is well balanced but that sounds like hell 😞

Infinite Enfeeble? With how much range?

Apparently there's an infinite range entrap in the game somewhere

Jakob is your worst enemy, mate. Kill him on sight. 😏

There are no enemy butlers, but when your units re-class into one, they look exactly like Jakob to me, which leads me to think that that is the generic appearance (just like all female Mages dress exactly like Nyx.)

Wow, I didn't know that. Strange. Probably on purpose.

Interesting. I have never used “hacked” skills, though. And all of the Staff Savant Maids wield low-level staves, making it more difficult to know how Staff Savant interacts with more powerful, unique staves.

I'm not quite familiar with Conquest: where are they used? Probably on Hard or Lunatic?

  4. In the purely hypothetical scenario of a staff user having the enemy-only skill Immobilize, would using a hexing rod or enfeeble activate Immobilize? Just while looking through skills today I was curious.

You need to have him marry a Maid of course. If you want it done on one playthrough, you'll have to play Revelations. Since Felicia is the only avilable Maid on Birthright. On Revelations you can have him marry Elise too. Alternatively, you could make Corrin's secondary class a Traoubador to give any male in the game the Butler class. But since you say you've already made Corrin a Butler, I can only assume you have Male!Corrin.

I didn't know about talents at the time, I'll try it out.

If you marry Corrin with troubadour to someone, thats a bonus character with troubadour. Maybe later I'll try to create some other mono armies (Probably gonna be terrible tho)

  6. On the topic of reclassing, is there a way to get any unit to any class (that has supports) excluding special classes? If you want a skill on a unit, do you have to get it from the logbook or is there an easy way outside of A+ and S supports that I don't know of?

Indeed, I was somewhat impressed to hear of them defeating Garon until I heard about the hacking.

Not even very powerful hacking from the sounds of it.  Just some fiddling around to make characters into classes they're not meant to take on.  It really just sounds like save editing; maybe slightly more powerful, but certainly not by much.  Regardless, that stuff is rudimentary by hacking standards.  I think some here give this person too much credit.

The only dialogue I'd see that could work with defeating Xander is something along the lines of Corrin saying, "Xander retreated, but I know he was holding back on me".  But that just seems so pointless when, for one thing, you probably didn't easily overpower Xander with one unit anyway and, for another, they already heavily imply throughout the story that Xander and the other Nohrian royal siblings are reticent to fight your forces.  Certainly not worth the effort to do extra conditions coding and expend additional brainpower writing material.

I mean, by hacking I just meant powersave, and I probably wouldn't even have been able to kill Garon on any higher difficulty, since this is my first FE game and I play Normal Casual. Next time I play through Birthright, I'll make an effort do beat Garon early to see if it is possible for me to do it.

Also, since Birthright was the easiest of the three routes, of course Xander's chapter can easily be finished in one turn even without Corrin, because of locktouch. It would be so much more interesting if Xander was stronger in that chapter and you had to go all the way around and beat his retainers to enter the room and beat Xander. But the game is not going to get anymore changes at this point, so Xander's chapter will remain a one-turn chapter forever.

But I really should have mentioned the hacking.

  8. In case people want to make bond units, all of the threads on a lot of forums are closed, so if you want to have bond units in 2019 and onward...

    • Post your MyCastle Code, Path, and avatar's name in a spoiler

How does one make a bond unit?

    • Get each other's Calling Cards
    • Get at least one accessory from the other player
    • Continue giving them accessories each day (you won't lose these accessories)
    • Voila!

Why should you post your path? So that you can hand pick the pool of skills your bond unit gets. Always check your accessory page in your inbox and take their calling card and give them accessories.

I'll just post all the possible skills in a spoiler.
