  1. Ack... that's unfortunate. But yeah, it's kind of accurate right now.
  2. I used to feel this way, and I still have bouts with it. Even now that I have really close friends, sometimes I just think, "Wow, this is more work than it's worth. Why am I even doing this?" In fact my worst period of depression happened right after I had made a bunch of friends (correlation, probably not entirely causation). But I dunno, friendship presents its rewards in time. So is it unhealthy to be antisocial? I don't really think so. It's more a matter of opportunity cost. Sure you can live contentedly and not get hurt if you avoid the pressures of socializing. On the other hand, you miss out on the deep connections you can have with people and all the consequences of that. Having a network of people to rely on is nice when things get tough, even if you CAN take care of yourself. If nothing else, you mentioned writing somewhere in this thread. I don't know how much you write, but it's tough to develop a round cast of characters when the only person's thoughts and feelings you know are your own. Having friends introduces you to a wide variety of perspectives, not just in passing, but deeply. But based on your responses so far, it sounds like you're not going to be convinced, which is fine. You'll probably be okay being antisocial for a while, and if or when the time comes that you change your mind, you'll seek out what you need. Thankfully it's never too late to make friends. Also, hello fellow Fairy Tail fan! I sure wish it hadn't taken such a nosedive [@GrandMagicGames]
  3. I'm working on a cross-stitching project and I need something to watch while I do that. Here is what I'm looking for: fun doesn't require much attention decent dub preferably short (10-20 episodes). Any thoughts? If there's a regular TV show fitting the description, throw that in too.
  4. Same. And I'm probably going to keep pronouncing it that way, because WHO'S GONNA STOP ME, HUH
  5. Scorch is the youngest prince of Charloe, a warlike-nation that is invading the Lord's kingdom. His father has always favored his two older brothers as they are powerful fighters. Scorch worked hard to develop his immense, latent magical power, but his family saw this as an aberration and exiled him. Now he travels the land seeking revenge and fulfillment. Joins the party when they are entering the borders of Charloe.
  6. Because you aren't in touch with your chakras. Why penguins?
  7. Too true. Ok, so a living god tries to remove a parasite and the host just doesn't want to let it go. The parasite punches the host and kills himself.
  8. Because New Year's Camilla. Why does Sam have a shattered rib?
  9. Because these darned kids wear jeans with holes in the knees. Why doesn't JelloApocalypse's voice match his body?
  10. And here I was thinking it was my fault! Stahl, Sully, you've done it again.
  11. That cast... I am in. Mae and Boey never even get past the casino. They are just stuck there arguing/trying to solve the case separately the whole movie.
  12. Cain and Abel have to save the hostages before the bomb goes off. Hostages include but are not limited to Est, Elice, Maria, Nyna, Palla, and Gordin.
  13. What's the crime? What's the plot for the rest of the movie?
  14. Ashera does a pretty solid Rasengan. Tatiana is a pretty great unit. Priam... Is descended from Ike. I guess that's nice.
  15. lol good point. I agree, it'll just be kind of odd if/when we have her brave version and she's still derping around in story... Then again, I guess that's kind of what Gunthra's doing right now so....
  16. Same. Why can't Fjorm have a brother... Me too. And I mean... surely they'll give her out before we get the Brave version of her, right?
  17. I'm kind of with you on Conquest 17, but for me Conquest's version of the Wind Tribe beats it in terms of just making me want to die.
  18. The original Gaiden didn't have a pair of red-green knights, so they kind of shaped Lukas and Forsyth to fit the roles in SoV. I really like this idea though. The only problem is that I think R/G Knights have to be the same class? But like someone said above, it's a fun way to look at the story!
  19. Joseph Campbell describes a story's antagonist as the Shadow, because that's what a good villain should be. I don't want a villain who could be the protagonist if we were playing from their perspective. I want a villain who could have been the protagonist, and in fact has a lot in common with the protagonist, save for for a few wrong choices, a few weaker principles, ect. They WERE the protagonist of their story but at some point they went the Macbeth rout and gave in to their desires; desires the protagonist might share. They're a reflection in a pool; it's shaky and murky, but somewhere in there, the protagonist can just make out something that looks like them. Most great villains follow this pattern (not all, I can think of exceptions, but those work because they fit the plot or theme, which is obviously fine too, but I'd personally prefer a Shadow).
