  1. I can deny this, all the endings are static. Only being paired with Alear changes them. Well that sucks ass. Thanks for letting me know
  2. Can't say I'm a fan of platonic S supports, for sure. There's got to be a better way to balance those who want a romantic ending vs those who want a platonic ending than just having it feel super arbitrary. What if either camp picks wrong for what they wanted?
  3. I do want to say, vis-a-vis same sex options, I remember back when 3H leaked it looked like there was going to be more male options (I believe Raph was one of them?) than there actually ended up being. Don't want to bring anyone down ofc but I hope we can get something a bit more concrete just to be sure.
  4. I meant them both separately, but I wasn't expecting them to have one together! Thanks for the heads up on it.
  5. Do we know anything else about who can support with whom? I'm particularly interested in Citrinne and Yunaka if there's any info on theirs.
  6. You're so right thoooooough. Anyone who's ever played a healer class in any other game knows rude healers are the most realistic ones. If I have to rescue one more Black Mage out of an AOE when I'm raiding I swear to god. You've made me realise how much I'd enjoy a Narcian 2.0. He's one of the most entertaining villains of the franchise imo (not one of the best, just one of the funniest), would love to see an succesor to him in a game like Engage. I really like this idea a lot! I tend to get frustrated with a lot of Camus archetypes personally (I think Camus himself and Ishtar are the only ones who don't drive me a little nuts) so I'd love to see either one of these lines play out as an exploration of the archetype.
  7. Old tropes coming back (like pegasus sisters/trios) or new spins on existing ones (I'd love a dragon lady who's Actually Old like Bantu, or a male manakete like Kurthnaga being playable with better availability for example). Whatever comes to mind!
  8. Ah, not the S-support CG, I mean the actual drawing Edelgard does of Byleth during CF. It's m!Byleth regardless of who you're playing as, but the S-support CG does change. It's weird! I really hope this is it! It's definitely a long shot, but I loved how in Astral Chain, the protagonist you didn't pick was your twin and had a role in the story. I like it a lot when games do things like that, so while I think it's unlikely, it'd be really neat to see. Edit: as for the sexuality thing, I think the "everyone is bi is pandering" is sort of a disingenous argument. Like it or not, discounting Echoes, the last three mainline games have all allowed marriage between heterosexual pairs for the player character without limit (even if there really, really should have been limits) and that's already pandering to the presumed-straight audience. I think it's a bit unfair to say "everyone is straight for the Avatar" is okay but "everyone is bi for the Avatar" isn't. At the end of the day, it is a video game, and characters are made to appeal. I definitely agree with @Interdimensional Observer's take on it - realism would be nice in other genres (personally I like the Dragon Age style best, and I do want more varied relationships between NPCs too), but FE hasn't had the full lineup available for everyone like, ever.
  9. Couldn't agree more. If you're going to give player the choice, you may as well go all the way! Seeing series like Rune Factory and Story of Seasons embracing this (as long-running series on Nintendo consoles) makes me hope FE will catch up some time soon... As did I, but this Nintendo Dream issue has me really curious! The text on the magazine preview says it wants the reader to "pay attention to the difference in hair/eye colour". I'm something of a dragon aficionado and I was always really disappointed that Fates did absolutely nothing with its dragon lore. Alear is currently shouldering all my hopes and dreams for a dragon protagonist whose dragon form actually matters, and this colour scheme thing has me on high alert. Hopefully it turns out to be something!
