  1. Thanks. I'll be continuing this at the weekend, as soon as I've mapped out how the next few chapters are going to play out. (:
  2. Lol usually people don't quote Knife and change it to Waha Kife xD *thumbs up* (I can call him Knife because he's newer to this place than me and now /he/ has to respect mah senioritay =)

And he was my first friend when I came on these forums =o

    Hi!

Thank you. I shall consider your words deeply. To everybody else, thanks for welcomin g me too xD My favourite Fire Emblem character...I don't have one. I love many of them. But I suppose that I like the Greil Mercenaries as a collective more than anybody else, and in that group, my favourite is Rhys!

    Hi!

Thanks for the warm welcome so far guys!
  5. You were right, it was very choppy and I hadn't realised until I gave it a thorough reading over. You'd think that being an English student I'd do that anyway but I guess I was excited to just get it out there. Anyways, I've changed it up a little bit and hope it makes more sense now. Thanks for the kind criticism.
  6. Thank you very much (:

  7. Hi there! WELCOME TO SF!!!! Enjoy your stay!! :D

  8. My very first Fire Emblem fanfiction. Hope you guys enjoy, feel free to leave feedback here. :) Shall be updating this probably every 3 days or so, as I am juggling it with other stories and school work. Without further ado, sit back, and (hopefully) enjoy! Assassination of Queen Elincia Prologue It was over. It was all over. How we were meant to anticipate the attack, I would never know. Like every winter night, Boyd and I had gone to bed four hours after darkness had set in, to get a good night's rest before the working day ahead. Titania was away, so we'd went to bed even earlier than usual. It meant we were more tired. We couldn't have picked a worse day. When the night was its coldest, the first window smashed. My eyes jerked open and my head rose from Boyd's warm chest. I panicked when I saw the orange glow. "Boyd, wake up. We're being attacked." I was twenty two years of age, so I was no stranger to invasion. Although, this was the first time somebody had used fire against us. "Boyd. Wake up." "Mist, please, five more minut-" Against my own will, I let out a squeal, as a dozen sticks of flaming wood flew through the cracked glass window and let our room on fire. Boyd didn't need his five minutes anymore; he flew right off the bed, grabbed his axe and ran into the main fort. "Mist, get Florete, outside, run!" I followed orders quickly and silently. I hadn't absorbed the fact that we were being hunted. On my way to the armoury, I saw Boyd take on three men wearing animal masks. I grabbed Florete, the only sword built for me, when I was grabbed from behind. "No, you don't!" I scolded, thanking Ashunera for my hard head, as I rammed my skull into his neck. With this moment of weakness, I twisted round and punched my attacker square in the jaw. Quickly, I snatched a bag of necessities from the shelf and turned into the mess hall to help my husband. The mess hall was empty. Apart from the flames creeping from every window, it was dark and lonely. I knew that as soon as I left through one of the main exits of the fort, I'd be dead meat. Before he left, Ike had weakened some of the bricks to allow for easy escapes. On the far corner of the mess hall was a set of bricks that he had worn down enough so as not to affect the structure, but weak enough for me to kick through. I knew my foot would bruise, but I needed a sneaky escape. Clearing some of the bricks, I found myself in the stables. "Mist, where are you?" Boyd called with urgency. I grabbed my horse and rode into the field surrounding the fort. She was getting older and weaker. Over in the distance, my husband's head was being covered with a large black sack. Five men were attacking his body. Before I could do anything, he fell to the ground. "Get him out of here!" One of the men barked. "And find the sister of Ike!" "She's right here!" I turned my horse around and let out another shameful squeal as burning wood was thrown at me. Luckily, I managed to jump off my horse in time, rolling across the ground and keeping a good grip on Florete. I had two choices; get to Boyd or escape. If I went for Boyd, I could do nothing about the savages who had stolen his axe, and also raided our armoury as well; I could see Mia's old sword being held like a prize by a rather tall, dumb looking man. No, I couldn't go for Boyd, and he would never forgive me. I launched myself into the small forest of trees around the fort, and darted off. I dared to shoot a glance back. These raiders meant business. My horse was writhing on the floor. Shot down with a powerful crossbow. I bit my lip to stop myself from wailing, and carried on. Within seconds I was on the other side, in a small grazing field for the cows. Through another line of trees, my eyes made out the small outline of the old schoolhouse Rhys had used his wages to build. I contemplated hiding in it, before mentally hitting myself. Beyond that was a large sea of trees, and with that, the undergrowth. Once again, I thanked Ashunera for my strong legs and athletic body, which let me spring into the under and navigate through quickly. For a strange reason, I thought about the last time we had been raided, only six months ago. Ike, the leader of our small crew, had charged head on into the three dozen fools, attacking relentlessly. He was of no use to me right now; he had left Crimea for lands unknown. Soren had barked orders before hiding behind Gatrie and tossing wind spells at the enemy. Right now, Soren was with Ike, and Gatrie was wasting away in a bar in Melior. He visited us maybe once a month. Usually in the hopes of finding a job, so he could get paid, and return to Melior where he'd drink himself sick again. Shinon and Rolf had climbed onto the roof of the fort where they rained arrow after arrow onto the unsuspecting idiots. I knew that if Shinon's plans had worked out right, he would be in Daein right now, raining arrows down on the rebels that were rising there. Rolf was probably being paid by a corrupt lord to fire them right back at him from the opposite side. That night, Titania and Oscar had no time to grab their horses, so they had charged right behind Ike, reminding us that they were strong with or without horse. Still to th is day, Titania was with us, but in body only. Her mind was always with my father's grave, in Gallia. Oscar was working for Elincia now. Finally, I thought of Rhys, poor, nervous Rhys...he'd grabbed Mia in a surprise act of passion, kissed her, before following instructions and darting into the sea of trees where he'd ambush the enemy with light magic. During her fight with those raiders, Mia came to a sudden realisation and fought harder than ever before. A month after that raid, Mia and Rhys were wed. I was alone that night. I'd twisted my ankle mere minutes before, and I was useless. Ike ordered me to hide out in the armoury. Boyd wasn't with us; he'd been on another job, and when he returned, he held me like never before. He said he never wanted to lose me. Before long, there were two married couples in the Greil Mercenaries. That was the past, and this is now. 'Mia is missing in action', I told myself, 'and Rhys never came back from searching for her. Boyd isn't going to hold you this time.' Whoever these guys were...this time, they had got the best of us. I needed a plan. I'd go to Oscar in Melior, tell him of the situation and request Elincia's aid. If that failed, I'd seek down Gatrie and demand he helped. Yes, that was my plan. Just get to Melior before these savages found me and burned me alive like they did my horse. I ran for three straight days, before I got to Melior. And what I saw there was far, far, worse.

    Hi!

Hello, my name is Drew and in case you couldn't tell I am new to these forums. I have stalked for long enough so I thought I best register. :D I have been playing Fire Emblem games for around two years now. First game was Path of Radiance. Since then, I have also played and completed Radiant Dawn, Blazing Sword, Sword of Seals and Sacred Stones. Have played, but not completed, Shadow Dragon. I mainly write fanfiction but will obviously contribute to topics that interest me. Hope I enjoy myself here!
