Right, so if Shinori doesn't use ITS, he's going to have some explaining to do. Besides that, with a two man mission, if it's sab'd and the person who had ITS played on them isn't the person that sab'd it, then we know it was the other. Yes, if we pass the mission, we don't really learn anything, but we make some progress. It will let us figure some things out and move on from there. And it will mean that we're tied with the spies, which is nice.

While I wouldn't mind being on the mission since I would then know that at least one of the members was for sure Resistance, I'm not going to insist on it here since I had said that one of the groups I'd support would be two people that hadn't been on a mission yet. If this mission fails, I still think we should stick with a two man mission, but I'd be up for changing around who's in it.
  3. Eclipse: a) I had given some opinion, but had also stated I didn't have enough to go on at that point to make a vote and b) I also had said more than some people. So screw that. No matter how you look at it, it was a jerk move especially when multiple people knew there was no chance of me being back on for deadline and NO ONE HAD SAID ANYTHING AGAINST ME THE ENTIRE GAME.
  4. Bizz: It's ok. I honestly wasn't mad at a specific person. It was just really frustrating and honestly made me very mad to leave with no votes on me (with the only votes on me the whole day having been RVS votes) and no real comments on my play being exceptionally scummy and to come back and find I'd been lynched. I hadn't really been in a good head space during that whole time and honestly considered just pulling out of Shining Force as well at that point and just not playing mafia for a while. The only reason I didn't was because I was leading the mafia at that point and would have felt horrible about just abandoning them. That being said, just because I wasn't in a great space doesn't mean I wouldn't have been pissed about it if I had been all ok. It was a really bad play, and I was stunned to find out none of the people who had voted for me at the end like that were mafia. Marth was, but he didn't end up voting for me. Though honestly, what he did was even more scummy looking since he was just following what everyone else said and then unvoted when it was obvious he didn't need to be voting for me to get me lynched.
  5. Oh right, I was going to make a post in here, and then forgot about it. But here it is. It's a really jerk move, and honestly not very helpful to start a wagon on someone who won't be back before phase end when there's been no indication that they're at all suspected. It's one thing if proof comes out that proves their mafia, but it's honestly not a good move to suddenly decide "Hey, this person hasn't talked much, and even though they've talked more than some people, I've decided I don't like their actions and so I'm going to start a wagon!" and then not give them an opportunity to defend themselves. Especially if they haven't been suspected all day. Because then they come back, find out they've been lynched for no reason at all and get really pissed. Yes, I'm still extremely frustrated and a little bit mad at what happened in Higurashi.

Also, I really don't think a 3 man mission is in our best interest right now. I will most likely support only a two man mission used in accordance with the ITS card at least for the first few suggested missions.

Then we're in the scenario where I said we don't know anything for sure, but we have a passed mission so we can move on from there in a better position than where we are now.

I never talked about using it on a 3 person mission. I specifically said that we should use it on a two man mission. Please go back and read what I said.

I uh, never said that the ITS would give us a 100% townie. Please read what I said. I said that either it would give us a passed mission, or it would give us a 100% scum and 2 100% townie *if* we used it with two people who were not on the last mission. If we did a two man mission with, let's say, Tables and Marth. We used ITS on Tables. Tables doesn't sab the mission, but the mission is sab'd anyways. That means Marth is 100% scum, Tables is clear because he wasn't on the first sab'd mission, and Slayer is clear because he wasn't on the first sab'd mission. That would of course, not be the ideal situation since there's a 33% chance the third person on the next mission will be a spy from the cleared people's views, or a 50% chance FMPOV if I'm not the one chosen. However, if the spies choose to not sab the mission, then it's tied 1-1 and the odds are exactly the same as they were before. This is, I think, the best use of the ITS card because it gives us a better chance at getting the two person mission passed and if the two person mission fails, it gives us the maximum information.

Well then. That's unfortunate. However, it tells us that at least one of Shinori and Proto is a Spy, at least FMPOV. From here, as I see it, it would probably be best to either do a two man mission including none of the three people who were just on the mission, or do a four person mission including me. However, since you guys can't know for sure I'm resistance, and since from at least a couple people's points of view, I was less trusted than Shinori and Proto, I can understand if I'm not on the team. However, I will say this. I will be extremely wary of voting for a mission that contains either Shinori or Proto as they each have a 50% chance of being a spy FMPOV. Currently, the mission I'd be the most in favor of would be either a two team mission composed of Tables and Slayer with the in the spotlight card played on one of them if possible, or a two team mission composed of me and someone else, once again with the in the spotlight card played on one person. The reason for this is that even though this doesn't really give us much more info, it almost guarantees a mission for us. Either that, or it gives us a 100% certain on a spy. If we had passed the last round, I'd say hold off on this move until we had one loss, but I don't want to put it off now because if we lose another mission this ploy will be useless. Also Shinori, I see that you're saying that my scumtell is out and about but in fact, I'm at work. It's a lot easier for me to talk on IRC than it is for me to post here because IRC takes 30 seconds while this takes time to write stuff out. While I'm at home, I'll be more talkative, but I really just don't have a lot to say, and therefore don't want to talk a lot of time out of work to write down stuff that doesn't mean a lot.

D: Shinori, proto, scorri: I am all for this as it has the two of the three people I consider most Resistance likely and Shinori who I've been getting better and better vibes about as this has gone on. E: Shinori, slayer, tables: This would be my second choice as Slayer has at least been around, and Tables is right behind me for who I consider most Resistance likely. F: Shinori, marth, proto: I'd be uncomfortable with this one as I'm less sure about Proto than I am Tables, slightly less sure about Shinori than Proto, and significantly less sure about Marth than anyone in the game except Slayer, and I'm slightly less sure about Marth than I am about slayer. All in all, I would vote yes for either D or E, but would veto F. Now, having said all this, we need to remember, that unless the spies are Marth and Slayer, it's highly likely that one of the people we're all trusting quite a bit now (aka Shinori, Proto, Tables) could be a spy. Yes, I could also be a spy from your point of view, but this is FMPOV. So, I'm not saying that you should vote no for a proposal just because you're not on it and you don't 100% trust people on it, but I'm trying to say that if we choose misson E for example and it's sab'd, don't automatically assume slayer is the spy. A good spy would be "helping" the resistance as much as possible to seem like a good little Resistance member.

    The Resistance V

Team A: Shinori, Tables, Proto: I'd be ok with this one. Shinori, I don't really have a read on you yet, but I'd vote yes for this one. Team B: Marth, Proto, slayer: I have no real read on slayer or marth, and so am not really a fan of this one since if it failed I'd have one person I sorta think of as Resistance, and two I have no clue on. Team C: Tables, Slayer, Scorri: I'd also be fine with this one since I know I'm Resistance, have a read on Tables as Resistance, thus making it rather likely that slayer is a spy if this mission is sab'd.

    The Resistance V

I'm currently viewing Tables as at least somewhat Resistance, so I'd be fine with the team of him, me, and slayer because to me that looks like one for sure resistance member, one probably resistance member, making it much easier for me to figure things out if the mission is sabotaged. However, if I'm not on the mission, I'm less certain. There hasn't been a lot of discussion, so it's not easy to tell with some people. I'd agree that Proto appears to be more Resistance sided because of his discussion but I dunno. I suppose I'd want at least Tables or Proto, preferably both on the team if I'm not on it.

    Shining Force Mafia

Mafia: N0: Straw: Tailored BBM to be lynchproof (not our smartest move...) Blitz: Investigated Bizz (sorry Bizz, we were afraid you were a strong protown) BBM: Kidnapped eclipse N1: Straw: Tailored Shinori (was on shinori cause that's where he was told to be and we were afraid of tracker being on straw) Blitz: Investigated SB Straw: Killed Proto N2: Straw: Tailored Blitz Blitz: Investigated Eclipse Straw: Killed Marth N3: Blitz: Investigated Lucina Blitz: Killed SB N4: Iris: Killed Lucina N5: Scorri: Killed Hika would have next killed eclipse, followed by someone, probably not shinori.

So, I was paying a decent amount of attention to the last Resistance game, and this is one of the things I picked up on. Proto: I can see your point, but I think that starting off with a 3 man mission, and then if it fails, moving on to a two man mission with two people who were not involved in the 3 man mission can give us probably the most information. Or something along those lines.
  16. scorri

    The Resistance V

I'd be fine with a four person team as well. It really is up to you I think.
  17. scorri

    The Resistance V

I'd agree with it either being a 3 or 4 person mission. I'd personally say a 3 person mission because I think that will give us the most information, but also give us a good shot at passing the mission.
  18. So yeah. I'm going to look over things tomorrow again, but then I'd love it if someone could do a first pass check on this. Just PM or message me on IRC if you're willing.
  19. Yeah, I understood what you meant. I've made sure to have a mix of main and minor characters for fake claims.
  20. It's not just main character, but I'll take that into account. Thanks~
  21. So uh, I know I said Avatar:TLA was going to be a medium game, but I currently have a word document with 20 roles in it so... Now, of course, it still needs to be checked, and I could end up throwing out a couple of those roles, but that's just a heads up. Speaking of which, anyone interested in doing a preliminary check of it?

    Shining Force Mafia

No, it can stop a mafia role, it just can't stop the kill.
