  1. Eh. Town had like four roles that could fuck around with scum's kill (their main way of getting rid of townies they don't like), and thief/cop + tracker/watcher are good roles as well. I wouldn't say they were low on power.
  2. Also, the "five scum, but two can be recruited into town" concept was actually pretty clever. Might have leaned a bit too much on the luck-based side, though role madness games almost always end up swingy anyway, so I can't really complain.
  3. I tried thinking for five hours, but then I was wrong and got hijack lynched!
  4. Yeah, but you got an extra kill in the form of bullshit lynch redirection. ;_; Honestly that post was just the kneejerk reaction to seeing the functional equivalent of 5 scum + 1 traitor in a 17p set-up, so. I dislike survivors. They are self-serving bastards.
  5. Wow, uh, town was really kind of screwed in terms of numbers there. <_< EDIT: Then again, scum basically couldn't NK most of the time, so.
  6. Fairly certain I actually got modkilled because I edited my last post without realizing it. Sorry! ohdear.gif
  7. I thought I was giving off obvious Clearly Not The Cop tells too. ;_;

    WELP.

  8. Not Me Over Me is a null tell so yeah. Lynching somebody you aren't sure is town > lynching somebody you know is town. I know nothing about this community's take on it, though.
  9. I play/host mafia over on another forum (not CARA, in case people wonder) where most people frequently come off as totally apathetic toward actually playing the game, though I've never actually been aware of why (perhaps it's just laziness, though the biggest problem seems to often be nobody is posting = everyone else doesn't feel like posting or being pro-active for whatever reason). From my modding experience over there, the best way to get everybody's ass into gear is commiting to a "no posts for 24 hours = prod, no posts for 24 hours after prod = modkill" rule and actively enforcing it. 24 hour night phases are also a better way to keep up interest, since a longer break between actual days leads to more apathy when they happen. Of course, I usually host with 72 hour days instead of 48, so. I still basically end up having to rage-rant about people for not committing to the game they signed up for at least once per game (even when I'm playing instead of hosting), but they've been making progress, at least. <_< It helps if the bar for content is set higher than posting one-liners / sheeping instead of actually talking about why you have the opinions you have, which I guess seems to be a slight problem here from what I've seen, but there's not much you can do about that. It should be noted that everything in this post is strictly for NOC, since I suck at OC. So... yeah.
  10. I don't think the Darros wagon was particularly weird. However, that makes D1 wagon analysis pretty difficult, given that there were only 3 or so people on it, so welp. <_<
  11. Do we need a majority to lynch, or is it just player with the most votes dies? The rules and votecounts say nothing, so.
  12. (nobody else aside from the player I'm voting)
  13. So by my count, we only have any hour left. I might not be around for deadline, but if I am, I'd be willing to switch to Darros to get a lynch since a lynch tie = NL. Nobody else has more than 1 vote, so. Would prefer to see Core gone, though.
  14. ...oh, I guess he's a sub. <_< I dunno, I figured he must have been playing if Luka said he was. Luka confirmed scum, LAL
  15. Lorddomu is another person I forgot was playing. I could maybe get behind a Darros lynch because he hasn't really done anything lately aside from defensively respond to Raymond. Thinking he should post some actual :words:.
  16. @Kay: Having the same opinion as another player isn't sheeping. I would have voted Diavocoretc without Snike's post. If you're talking about the earlygame vote on Proto, I just wanted to see how he'd react to 3 votes. As for opinions, Core's the only person I feel like lynching right now. Kay looks weird for misrepping me but doesn't seem lynchworthy yet. Raymond is probably town, all things considered, and Strawman looks reasonably townie to me as well from his one post (not just because I like birds). Also, Iris looks like she's trying to blend in with everybody else's play, but based on prior experience with newbies I'm not yet sure if this is scummy or not. I would need to see her post more, probably on later days. @Luka: 1) Read a damn votecount. 2) Raymond, Strawman and Snike, for being some of the only people who have used their votes on things that aren't generic lurker pressure (though Snike changed his so whatever). 3) Agree with "half the game", but notably kirsche for popping in to say nothing aside from a V/LA declaration (if you're going to be away, wouldn't it be best to get opinions out ~now~?) and also you because you're not answering your own questions. Also I forgot Hikarusdfjkhf was playing.
  17. (forum lurking, not in-game lurking)
  18. From my 5 seconds of lurking, I was kind of under the impression he did it regardless of alignment. I still like ducks, though.
  19. @Snike: Any reason you think Strawman is worth voting over Diavolo at this point? If Strawman responded, would you return to supporting a Diavolo lynch? Also, ducks are town.
  20. I don't see the point in focusing pressure on one particular lurker halfway into Day 1 of all times. If they don't come post and talk, then they're disrespectful to the mods and also not playing to win if they're town (since town benifits from discussion), so it should be their obligation to post, not our obligation to make them post. As for Diavolo/Core/whoever, "They're doing something they don't usually do" alone isn't really a valid reason to attack somebody regardless of whether it's true or not in this situation, because people can experiment with their playstyle and this doesn't necessarily make them scum. Also, why are you dropping all charges completely when you seemed like you wanted to go after a lurker before switching to Paperblade? I want Proto to post :words: so I can get a read on him.
  21. I would vote Raymond for softclaiming Godfather, but the Persuader claim makes that pretty unlikely. Thinking the way he responded to Proto's post was weird though since he wasn't on the wagon. I'm not reading Proto's reaction to ~early wagons~ one way or another, but I think it's useless to leave my vote on him at this juncture. ##Unvote ##Vote Diavolo How is not pressing somebody going to be unproductive when earlygame it's our most reliable way to get people to find something to talk about? You have no vote of your own, and I don't see you suggesting any better ways to start discussion, so it's looks like you're just suggesting something that would slow down the game. I don't like the early Proto / Raymond scumbuddy theories, by the way. The gambit seems like it would entirely pointless in that situation, and scum tend not to gambit unless it has a high payoff for them on the grounds that pointless gambits draw attention (which scum doesn't want).
  22. This is dull. Proto has 3 votes right now and his own is hot-glued to Kay. Let's hear him post.
  23. In other news. Raymond, why did you choose Proto -> Kay as your targets? I can't imagine randomly picking targets with a role like that on N0 would be ideal.
  24. ##Vote Proto ##Dayvig Psych Obvious course of action.
  25. I'm probably going to be vigged Day 1. SF players like killing me 5 seconds after I replace in.
