    If I didn't care about Duels before, now it's for sure. Lyon just made it unplayable.

    Anyway, boring picks as always when we have Seasonal Sacred Stones heroes.

    This is an easy skip. May pull colorless and green on my free summon circle, and that's it.

    Unless the Emblem Hero is a character that you really love, going for +10 Emblems doesn't look that worthy.

    Like... they will only appear on these monthly banners, and they don't help in Arena scoring, like Legendaries, neither in Aether Raids scoring, like Mythics.

    Yes, having +2 to all stats sounds great, but in some cases it doesn't help much... especially when using on most of the Book 1-2 units.

    I would still recommend trying to get at least one copy, just to have the Emblem effect available for your teams, but +10 the Emblem only if you care about the character themselves, not the max effect it will provide.

    Even I, a Marth fan, feels like I would be wasting my resources going for a +10 Emblem Marth.

    Mythic Hero Battle: Lumera and Emblem Marth

    One-turn clear is impossible with my Marths, but they still were able to deal with these two.

    @GuiltyLoveNice clears! The perfect kill of Claude on Lumera was fun to watch. And cool to see that you found a way to make the Macedon team work here. Having Triangle Attack against these super fast annoying units is very welcomed!

    @Flying ShogiThat was a great one-turn. Using AoE specials against Marth and Lumera was a very good idea, and the same goes with the Vantage at the end.

    As expected, all the heroes here are recent. The oldest one being Summer Fjorm and Summer Ivy, but that's just 6 months old.

    I am a little surprised to not see the others two fairies in the top 20, but again... Peony could be at the bottom of the 20, with the others fairies just behind ther.

    Honestly, I can't predict the final 8.

    Emblem Marth & Mythic Lumera (Trailer)

    Lumera looks interesting. Huge Stone terrain range, and huge Drive Half Tempo.

    Marth looks great, and as a Marth Fan I got baited right away. He looks to be a good Sword God, with more a player phase role than enemy phase, because of his Desperation. Granting Slaying to an ally is huge, so I can have Holst with Slaying in arena now.

    Also, I didn't read about any penality for using these Emblem effects, like not being able to use Prf skills like how Arcane Weapons and Attuned Skills penalize units for having those skills.

    Emblems is a very whale thing, though, since they grants all stats +2 to an ally when at +10. I will not be surprised if I already see units with +10 Emblem effects tomorrow in Arena.

    I really wished Emblem Marth was a flier, since Emblems float in Engage, but oh well. And looks like we will get an Emblem Hero every month on Legendary/Mythic banners?

    Mythic Lumera is fine, and she looks like a good support unit.

    I actually liked the CYL results. I dont really care much about Felix and Bernie, but Alfonse being 1st place was a nice surprise to me.

    We are also getting a lot of rewards and free stuff this anniversary, probably to compensate the trash Christmas Yunaka delivered.

    Soren looks nice. I have him at +10, so it's nice that he will get his upgrade on art and stats. Considering foddering a Rearmed Sonya to him.

    On a different topic, according to the "Sage of Khadein" rerun we got today, those seasonal units are schedule to rerun in a banner in February as well.

    On that, I chatted with some friends and we came with 2 possible outcomes from this:

    • The Free Special Hero (Book 7) Summoning Event, which gives us a random 5* Special Hero. We get this banner every year, and this year shouldn't be different. So their rerun could mean this banner; Or...
    • For the anniversary, they decide to do daily banners with all Book 7 Special Heroes summoning events (from Sage of Khadein to Ring In the Year).

    I don't know who can be the new mythic. We only know that according to the Datamine is a Light Mythic Hero. Could the banner have 2 Mythics? Maybe, it's possible. But so far, a single Mythic is guaranteed, and it will be Light.

    Why we know the Mythic will be Light? Because we have the next Light/Dark bonus units in the data and the Offensive Bonus Mythic slot is empty.

    Would be cool to have Athos, considering the theme of the Seasonal Banner. He would be a Blue Tome unit in this case.

    I wonder if Hawkeye's Lance will have the same effects are Tormod's tome, or maybe change Desperation for Guaranteed Follow-up, since I can see Hawkeye being slow but quite tanky.

    Overall, this is an easy skip to me. Getting lucky here with 2 banners that didn't bait me at all. Now I wait for the Anniversary FEH Channel, Mythic Banner and Valentines.

    I am one person that doesn't really care that Sommie is not a voting option, and honestly... I prefer that way.

    I know people can argue that they could make Sommie a Beast unit or whatever, but I couldn't care less if he never come to FEH. To me, he would be Gatekeeper all over again, and would win CYL just for the memes. At least with Gatekeeper he is a character with a voice, and can have some personality... even if a very bland one. Sommie doesn't even have that. He would be like... combining Gatekeeper's community meme with Young Soren's no voiced lines and only groans.

    Also, do you really want to see a damage Sommie art? Because I don't.

    I'm curious to see where this ends up. An Engage Sweep would be pretty weird, but IS seems to have learned their lesson from how utterly boring CYL 4 was so I'm hoping we get some fun kits. Of course it helps that all four of these characters have vastly different temperaments compared to all four winners being stoic to various degrees (even Claude and Lysithea were depicted as such for the most part).

    Oh, also: if we do get an Engage sweep I also hope the web event is something fun and not just a glorified advert for Engage - or if it is (and Engage needs it unlike 3H) they make it fun and not the cringey snoozefest that was the House leaders giving powerpoint presentations on why their nation was the best...

    Please give the Sommie Costume to one of the Alears. lol

    Alear could have one of the Emblem transformation as Brave version... that would be neat. Although, I can see them going with this for Alear (spoilers from Engage):

    Verty interesting that they shared the Top 5 for each title as well. I am actually glad that even though Nidhoggr is top 5 most voted Heroes character she is not in the Top 20, so her chances of winning are quite low.

    So... if we consider the possibility of a Engage Sweep (all 4 CYL units beging from Engage), and considering that we also have the top 5 most voted for each title... Right now, a Full Engage CYL would be:

    Males Division:

    • Alear
    • Diamant

    Female Division (two of the three names below):

    • Alear
    • Ivy
    • Yunaka

    I gave my first vote to Touma & Cain, just to say "I did my part".

    Honestly... I have no idea in who to vote this year. I may give a vote for Pandreo since I like him a lot. But overall... I don't know. I will check some of my friends, so see who they are giving their votes for, and offer my votes to them.

    However, to be fair... I kinda expect a Engage sweep this year. I would prefer not, but oh well.

    We got a new calendar, with all the events for Januany and early February 2024.

    The amount of Ephemera 1 predicted for this month is 890, but the amount could be higher because of the 7th Anniversary Celebration.

    7th Anniversary Celebration begins on January 30th instead of the usual February 2nd, so expect Feh Channel earlier than usual.

    Hall of Forms Revival are the Archanean Young Heroes (Marth, Caeda, Merric) and Female Kris. Skill available on that event are all skills from the game's release up to Mythic Gullveig & Kvasir's banner. The next HoF batches for voting are:

    • Three Houses: Summer Dorothea, Summer Ingrid, Summer Sylvain, Summer Lorenz
    • Echoes: Valentian Catria, Valentine Rudolf, Dancer Rinea, Python
    • Genealogy: Dancer lachesis, Dancer Eldigan, Dancer Ethlyn, Fallen Julia
    • Thracia: Sara, Ronan, Asbel, Kempf

    Forging Bonds Revival are the 2023's Fallen Heroes (Chrom, Maria, Anankos and Female Byleth). The next FB batches for voting are:

    • New Heroes & Rearmed Tana
    • New Heroes & Rearmed Ingrid
    • New Heroes & Mythic Heiðr
    • Rearmed Eitr & Rearmed Alcryst

    Choose Your Legends 8 voting phase should begin around the middle of January, with A Hero Rises voting phase beginning around around the Anniversary Celebration.

    Limited Hero Battles are schedule to begin on January 15th. The maps are as follow:
