Red, Plumeria so that we can have another easily available Astra Mythic and she is a fairy so even non AR people can use her.
Blue, Dimitri as he is as stacked as it goes and I am getting way more afraid of him compared to Chrom. He also has a unique class so that's a bonus.
Green, Freyja because I am still lacking her and I need her. Otherwise Edelgard as she is a really unique and fun unit, a player phase Armor with triple movement without a dancer.
Colorless Leif, got him yesterday and he is really fun, ranged Galeforce is way too good.

Talked about the story in the book 5 discussion. Don't care about the new heroes. Now the update. The 2% thing is really useful, essentially every off focus 5* lowers focus and non focus pity rate by 1% respectively that's really helpful. This makes new hero banners pretty much the only ones worth summoning on, spark, 4* focus, 2% rule and tickets. Then come seasonals that lack tickets and sparking however they really have unique 4* and now perhaps we will always have sparks in them as well (if people pull in the winter banner then they might add it permanently on them and save seasonals). However, legend and mythics are painfully bad. Horrendous rates, colour sharing between 3 units, the lack of sparking and the outdated pre Azura Legends that need an update so that they won't screw players by merely existing. All these things makes them very bad however, I need LEdelgard merges and a single Freyja so I have no choice, also the AR update makes mythics mandatory so they need to do something about about these banners.
Now the AR update, Offense is a joke and defense is a nightmare. I doubt players that weren't playing AR will start playing the mode because of these changes. So the only purpose they have is to sell all the mythics even the bad ones. Offense now becomes braindead, send a LeLeif or a NiLyn for example, take two kills and even if they die who cares. Now, defense becomes pretty garbage. Essentially every week a different setup will be needed and of course it won't be that optimal because being forced to run someone like Sothis, or Lif and Yune, Duma (when unbuilt) instead of, Triandra, Bramimond, Hel, Thrasir, Mira (for me at least) hurts performance quite a lot and the bonus mythic is mandatory. Also the role of defence becomes much harder as even if you take a kill it won't be enough and you have to take 2+ to actually do something. Lack Plum, Freyja, Yune and Lif as far as mythics go so I don't have a big problem I think but I believe that's lots of players might face difficulties with the mythic requirements. The new mythic type is also fine and a nice way to spice things up now that the original rotation is over pretty much over.

Still haven't given my opinion on the new book so here it is. Firstly, called it we would get humans with mechas and not actual dwarves.
The chapters.
SpoilerThe first chapter was quite weak in my opinion as it focused a lot on on Reginn, her introduction to the story and her allyship with Askr. The second chapter was simple but it essentially introduced the world and set the ground for the rest. I simply hope the pacing way better then 4. Up until the middle (with Mira) the story pretty much didn't move at all and was really boring and then they tried to fit everything in the remaining chapters so I hope that they can balance things about in that department.
Characters.
SpoilerSo far the characters look interesting, I guess, though it's too early too tell. Again up until the middle the fairies were dreadfull to even watch however when they gave them an actual character and some sort of motivations beyond gloomy and sexy (for Triandra and Plum respectively) I enjoyed them quite a lot and they became really fun. I can't take Fafinir seriously as I associate the name with the dragon from dragalia. Hope he doesn't pull a Surtr and has more things to show beyond I am evil and brainwashed up until we or someone else kills Him, hopefully he transforms into a dragon with Canto. Otr will be the fan favourite from the book and everyone will love him when the 5 ends I am calling it. Can't tell much except that I have a good feeling about him. Reginn is fun I guess, liked her reason for joining us, she couldn't take the pressure of the war and wanted her family back in a way. What I love is the sibling dynamic they went for, I love it in stories and I hope they properly flesh this relationship out.
The rest I guess.
SpoilerI am really digging the steampunk setting and I really like the music of the book. Also the poster showcases Sharena as a mage will she have some sort of actual involvement or it will be Alfonse only again. One theory I red was that she is linked to the dead one from Lif's world that's why she is kind of pale. Now the important stuff, if we get the sword Valkrie as a playable character before Seiros I will riot. They seem to be flying mechas, one with a sword and the other one with an axe, perhaps they will be fliers with Canto 2 if they are playable after book 5 ends. They seem to be connected to that other world we saw and even have a new insignia so perhaps they won't close their story within this book. Also if they actually are connected to the Allfather then I don't think I can him take him seriously anymore, does the guy have a harem or something? Loki, Thor, Thrasir, Plumeria, Triandra and the bird ladies.

I've had +Res/-HP BowLeif since his release banner and he's done good work, Njorun's Zeal is a big part of it and there's a ton you can do build wise even ignoring that. Course, I also got lucky with getting +Atk this banner, but my salt with the Greens this banner is only moderated by the luck on every other colour. I do think banners need rework beyond what we got in the update, keep in mind the update still reduces pity rate after breakers by 2%, I think that could be lower depending on the context (It didn't affect this banner but that didn't surprise me).
I am testing him and he is quite good and something as simple as Escape route makes him very potent. Even with his base kit.

Fae's refine is way more flexible when in comes to builds as she can go from full support to full tanky mode and I slap her in pretty much every non AR team ever since it came. Nowi's is definitely really good however, I think it's more AR centred with the penalty nullification. Definitely will build her up but don't think I will be using her that much.

I am kind of disappointed. One pull before 11.00% and there were no greens pulled one colourless stone and I got a +Red -Hp LeLeif. I hear people praise him but 47 base Atk in late 2020 isn't really cutting it. With the remaining orbs of course I didn't get anything. Legendary and mythic banners NEED improvements, they are way too bad and scumy. New hero banners are gacha heaven, while they are a nightmare to deal with.

10.00 and only 3* units. Tomorrow I will have 58 orbs so Hopefully I can bmgerab at least one Freyja (or any green 5* at this rate). Honestly, legendary/mythic banners need some fixing, be it a spark, better rates or whatever.

Tomorrow is the day, the twitter insignias were a countdown after all. Book 5, new hero and lots of orbs are coming.

I am team Leila. Glad she is doing well, though I doubt she will beat a character like Lyn.

On Twitter they do a thing where they upload the emblem of a Feh Kingdom and tell people to share their memories of a certain book. For example, yesterday we had Alfonse and Sharena with the emblem of the order of heroes and told people to share memories of book 1. Toady we have Fjorm and Ylgr with the Nifl emblem and memories of book 2. Tomorrow we will have Hel/book 3 and then Fairies/book 4 most likely and if that's the case then the final book will fall the day before the new heroes/maintenance. So that's my prediction on the Feh Channel.

What I am thinking is that they won't introduce actual dwarves but will use simple humans. Similarly to how Nifl and Muspel had humans, Surtr was supposed to be a fire giant and generally we didn't get what Muspel and Nifl were supposed to be (at least from what I red while looking into norse mythology).
I think simply we will have a steampunk or a technologically advanced type of setting with only one guy that will get killed somewhere around the middle, the enemy commander that will get to top10 of CYL despite just arriving and the rest will be cute female characters (including the freebie which will be the 5th light mythic).

Today got from 17 to 18 really easily. Leila and BEdelgard in Astra and triple mythic FIke in light carried me weekly to somewhere around T25 before I stopped AR so I am fine I think as far as Offense goes.
I am wondering if my defence teams need updating though. Until I go back to T21 I will have a picture of how they are holding up.

Today played AR for the first time after Plumeria's debut.I had demoted to T17 and I really don't mind it. Taking it easy was something I wanted to do anyway before I started going back to "hardcore" AR (T21+).

Wish I could get Edelgard's forma as I have some interesting skills like, Atk/Def Unity and the extra merge will be really helpful especially since I don't have a good nature on her anyway. However, I am proud of my F2P status and I don't even consider to breaking it.
Claude carried me really hard. He had his weapon, Atk/Def Solo 4, Spd/Res Rouse 3 and Atk Smoke and he was doing everything. Dimitri became a support-bot. Didn't even Level up Hubert.

I am 9.50 rate and nothing still. At least there will be plenty of orbs until the banner ends.

Thanks for the answers, they helped a lot as I was struggling with this. I came up with my spending plan until March's Mythic banner. Below are my thoughts.
SpoilerI will skip everything however, I will allow myself to indulge in only one banner using below 80 orbs. That banner should have many heroes I am interested in as focus (to avoid useless pity breaking as much as I can) and should have either tickets or be a hero fest. For example this focus could be December's legend if the red pool is full of goodies and if tickets are received like last year. That's the mindset. I generally have an easy time skipping seasonals only summoned the entire year for Iduun, Rhea, Genealogy and Dragons and these months the new heroes were skipped. So I think I won't have a problem skipping. Supposing we get 300 orbs per month, from December until March I will have about 1200 orbs. Remove about 120 due to Freyja and the one banner and I should still have around 1100 orbs (due anniversary celebrations). Maybe not enough to +10 Edelgard and Freyja but enough to have them at high merge count.

This was a standard difficulty Abyssal, the only problem was Freyja as she is pretty insane. This is the squad

Edelgard gets tons of stats with double Solo and brave Axe makes her a player phase monster. Altina was there to kill Triandra and the mage flier at the beginning. Later on she was used to get kills Ophelia had prepared or to allow Triandra to hop with WoM. Ophelia was an absolute monster as she killed many foes and weakened other ones to let Altina finish them. Triandra was used to make sure there were no buffs due to panic and Freyja's Omega Lul. I killed Freyja after a turn of waiting and she had 3 foes around her. Ohpelia, danced by Triandra killed 2 and weakened Freyja in the process and then Edelgard landed the final blow.

The only thing I care about is March's Green. LEdelgard and Freyja on the same banner is the best thing I could ask for (filler might be Dieck or Shamir so that would be great), I am going to be saving for this and allow myself to pull using a few orbs on only one banner up until March's Mythic (perhaps a hero fest for the anniversary or something).
Next month is going to be brave Lords, a red legend and some fillers. Skip as much as I would like Plumeria to finish the fairies. Though if we get tickets like last year then definitely chances at plum and the new legend will be a better deal than a breve hero fest or the old one.
About Sothis, perhaps her hero fest might get a rerun or we will have a special banner or something.
About the 4 greens I think either fillers will be gone and we will have only Legends and Mythics at different proportions. For example, 4 green, 2 red and so on. Or perhaps Gunthra will get a special banner (alongside Sothis even) because of possible legend refines.

Between Leila and Laevatein, maybe Laevatein because she is easier to keep alone as Leila needs her support partner.

After the mythic banner ends I want to save for March's Green. However, I am really bad at saving, as I either summon impulsively (anniversary and the new book 5 hero will be hard to skip), or I procrastinate and skip rewards.
What are your saving tips, and how do you combat impulsive summoning?

I think that they will give old legends refines (something they need) so Gunthra being the first after Fjorm (DC) will be in a special Hero Fest or something to celebrate it. I am more curious about Sothis and why they didn't announce when she will return.

This month Flame Emperor will be +10 (my 3rd +10), still need 4 flowers though and a new fighter skill (like slick or crafty) but the hard part is the merges and that's done.
Now about banners I will wait until the new year to see what all the banners (winter, Legend, NY) have to offer like potential sparks or tickets and the units themselves in order to decide the one to summon. NY might have a book 4 OC alt, Winter most likely Felix and Legend, Plum, Reginn and hopefully the brave Lords.
Weird how Pawns of Loki is split up but hopefully that means that we won't have player made teams.
