  1. Hey guys. Good to see this place still alive and kickin
  2. Oh lordy, it depends what you need me to do. I usually check the forums more than once a day, so...

  3. I never left~

  4. Slappy birfday!

  5. Aere

Only if you don't wanna be in it, man. I'm not gonna steal your spot haha

  6. My pleasure, anything to avoid doing homework.

  7. Looking at something, or hearing something, or experiencing something at all provokes a thought. "What is that? Where is it from?" etc. The question is, if one has never experienced anything, does thought exist? Or did thinking up something without any prior experience lead to so much of the world today?

  8. still a part of me.

  9. -believe my line has such a concept as a property, then it is so. And of course there is an unconscious mind, that's where dreams come from. Lucid dreaming occurs when the dreamer has influence on that subconscious thinking? I'm not entirely sure there, but it sounds about right. As long as I'm sure the line goes on forever, it will remain as such in my subconscious, which is st...

  10. The line can easily go into the Z axis, so to say. If I imagine a single point, I don't need to imagine the whole line. In Geometry, a line goes on forever in both directions. I don't have to see the "ends" to know this, it's a property of a line. Providing the line is on the Z axis, I won't even need to see the line itself. Infinity is a concept anyway, if I believ...

  11. However, I believe thought would be an independent "entity". The question is the same, which came first, the thought or the idea that provoked it?

  12. Thought cannot be measured in finite or infinite terms. I could easily imagine a line that stretched out billions of miles, going as far as I wanted it to. Until I stopped imagining, at least. But who's to say that the line isn't still going on in my subconscious, that I left an imprint strong enough that it would never end?

  13. The old saying is, nothing is new. Every idea is just a combination of others, and one's conscious mind cannot formulate something that has no basis from an experience. I doubt memory has a physical limit, as people have recalled instances that have occurred decades previous. Thoughts are not material, and cannot be "destroyed". Unless you "forget", but your subconscious...

  14. Eh, if the actions that we aren't in control of aren't a part of us, then what are they a part of? Unless we are able to link the heartbeats and thinking of every living creature in the world together under one entity, it'd be safe to assume that each aspect is a part of each respective individual. No matter what the being, what goes on naturally in its body is its own.

  15. Then the whole deal about humans being the only animals with thought (maybe dolphins, but w/e) is utter crap. It probably is, but you're be hard pressed to find the physical "thought" of another creature. Also, those involuntary actions are part of what makes a human. Human isn't just thought, it's the process that goes about to sustain onesself and project into his envi...

  16. So, thought is a noun? If a human IS thought, then humans can cease to exist at any given moment. I wouldn't classify the actual 'thought' as a noun or a verb, because it's both an action and an entity...

  17. But you would have thought at some point, therefore you must have existed. Or when we stop thinking, do we cease to exist.

  18. AP work is much harder then it should be; Or maybe that's cause I'm on here instead of working.

  19. I am :D my Alan is speed blessed, which makes it easier :)
