  1. I'm torn between BylethxDimitri and BylethxClaude. (Haven't finished CF yet, so no opinion on Edel) Like, if there were a "Revelations" route where you recruit everyone, I'd have a tough time picking which one. I just love how Byleth is there for Dimitri when he's struggling, and he even says she helped "bring him out of the darkness" (or something) And in Claude's ending when he is perfect. Why can't there just be a harem ending? MercedesxSylvain is really sweet. I especially like how (more character ending spoilers) LorenzxManuela was surprisingly good. LorenzxMarianne is cute too. And I never even considered IgnatzxMaya, but it seems so obvious now. HildaxCaspar is cute. I like how they both just want to do their own thing and live freely. Also their bright pink and cyan hair looks good together. Then these are some that don't have supports but I like anyway: CatherinexRhea SetethxRhea FerdinandXLadislava (IDK, he seems pretty upset when you defeat her) AsheXLeonie (Am I the only one who thinks they'd be cute together?)
  2. I sometimes see Lorenz or Sylvain surrounded by women. Leonie and Alois like to hang out in Jeralt's room
  3. My bad. I figured it could've been appetite because that's a symptom of depression. And that video is spot-on!
  4. I don't know if I'd go so far as to say anyone necessarily has some sort of mental issue. There are a lot of nuances that can't be picked up just by watching a character on a screen versus talking with a trained psychologist. Also, like @DefyingFates said, there's a difference between being depressed and having depression, or being anxious and having an anxiety disorder. I will agree that some characters certainly do show signs. It's pretty obvious that Dimitri had some sort of severe PTSD/depressive breakdown during the time-skip. (Although I haven't read his supports with Flayn, I'm thinking he's referring to a loss of appetite, rather than the actual sense of taste) And it would be interesting for the series to take a closer look into the the effects war has on the psyche. I mean, FE is loaded with 16-19 year old kids going into battle and killing people, it's a wonder any of them are well-adjusted.
  5. I think it would've been cool if for one map you got to but other than that the story just didn't need 'em.
  6. Let all classes use magic. (Though maybe at a reduced rate like Commoners and Nobles) Nerf Stride. Either reduce the movement amount to 2 or the range to only adjacent allies. Re-work Dark Mages. I dunno, this class confuses me. Some characters innately learn dark magic, while the rest can only use it as Dark Mage/Bishop. (The key word here being only. There is no dark magic master class, so unless your name is Hubert or Lysithia, you won't be able to use it at the highest tier class.) So is there any real reason to make someone a Dark Mage, other than for Lifestealer or Poison Strike? At least let them keep their dark magic when changing classes.
  7. I don't think a character necessarily has to be high-concept and fantastical to be interesting. A simple, down-to-earth character can still be good if they have a compelling backstory. FE1 didn't go too terribly deep into character development, which is why most of the units had single-sentence biographies. But 3H did well with it's "normie" characters, (Leonie, Ashe and Raphael come to mind. They're not nobility or magical in any way, but they have charm all the same.) and throwing too much mystical mumbo-jumbo at a character sometimes is just a flashy cover for a whole lot of nothing. (quick, describe Azura's personality without using the word "mysterious")
  8. Me in front of the sauna, waiting for the DLC to drop: But seriously, it's about time we got playable Jeritza. Hopefully the new classes will include magic/flying or magic/armor. Also I really like the name Balthazar.
  9. I imagine Glenn as looking like Zihark, but with Felix's hair and eye color. Claude's dad strikes me as kind of the "dashing gentleman pirate" type, with curly brown hair and a thin mustache. Everyone in Raphael's family has the exact same face.
  10. Annette's is super cutesy. Lindhardt's is surprisingly neat, but pretty basic. Cyril is trying his best. Seteth goes full blackletter when he's writing official documentation. Otherwise it's an absolute mess. Flayn's is big and loopy with thin lines. Leonie's is kind of rushed and she never uses capital letters. Caspar holds his pencil like a knife and attacks the paper.
  11. I joined the Blue Lions on my first playthrough specifically to marry this boy. (Then Dimitri happened, but that's another story) I was flip-flopping between the two of them through most of the academy phase. Also I'm like 90% sure that Miklan was jealous of his little bro being prettier. The crest thing was just a cover-up.
  12. I guess Reinhardt is more meme than husbando? No reason he can't be both, tho. On topic, I'm not quite sure about Cordelia. I don't have anything against her, but there's nothing that really made her stand out as far as waifus are concerned.
  13. Oh yessssss. This looks amazing. Everything is so much more colorful now! (Satorl Marsh is going to be gorgeous *o*) I'm so glad they're restoring the cut content, too. One thing I wonder regarding XBC2 is (bigass spoilers for both games)
  14. Good stuff! I like the class change costumes, but it'd be nice if they got a pallet swap based on which house the character belongs to, for a little variety. The battalion thing is very Langrisser-esque, and the school part smacks of Persona. Not that those are bad things, I just hope there's not too much micro-managing. Oh, but dialogue choices are nice! Looks like the MC's personality has some room for interpretation.

Aw man, that's too bad. I used to like his videos. Shame he had to go and show everyone his top 10 video game DYUCKS.
  16. Rhea/Rea/Rare looks an awful lot like the green-haired lady in the trailer, right down to the flowers in her hair. They're either related or the same person. Sothis is the goddess (or a goddess) whose power had been sealed away.
  17. FE always had its moments of comic relief, the problem with Fates and Awakening is that they don't really do it well. At its worst, Awakening was tropey anime slapstick, but Fates went full "lol teh random" at times and while neither is necessarily a bad thing, they clashed horribly with the games' darker themes.
  18. Since we know next to nothing about these character's personalities, I have no choice but to judge them on how attractive they are. That being said, Sylvain and Ferdinand are both 10/10 would husbando. Blue Manbun and Whitehair McTanskin from the Lions look interesting, but I'll need to wait for their in-game portraits before I render any final judgements. Claude is nice looking but I don't think I'll ever get over his Jedi Padawan braid. I just noticed that Ashe has freckles. Cute! His one eye needs to be pushed up juuuust a little. It's kinda falling off his face. Dorothea is adorable but her hat looks photoshopped in. (Unrelated, but my phone wanted to autocorrect her name to "Doritos" so that's what I'm going to call her from now on) Lastly, the one thing about the art that kinda bothers me is the hair. I know everyone said they look like plastic with the shiny skin and empty, soulless eyes but the hair is what pushes it over the edge. Especially on Linhardt an the snakey looking guy with blue hair from Golden Deer. It's like a bootleg Figma where they didn't even try to make the hair look like hair, it's weird chunks of molded plastic. But overall I'd say I've warmed up to the art style.
  19. 65. Anyone who asks Master or Crazy Hand for a high-five does so at their own risk. You have been warned. 66. Please keep a safe distance of at least 5 feet when watering Piranha Plant. We don't need any more missing fingers. 67. No, Dr. Mario can't get you any of "the good stuff," and anyone who asks will be reported.
  20. Stat-enhancing items: Like in mainline FE games, there'd be Speedwings, Talismans, etc to permanently raise a unit's stat by one point. To keep things fair, you can only use a total of 3 items per unit. Level Reset: Spend feathers to reset a level 40 5* unit to level 1 and earn more SP. Of course there's always merging lower-rarity units, but could be useful for F2P players who want to train their 5*-locked units Or increase SP gain from defeating enemies at level 40: SP gain on fully-leveled characters is abysmal because they don't get any from level-ups. Unless you use a unit constantly, they hardly gain enough to learn their best skills, not to mention weapon refining. For me at least, a character is either SP-starved or has a surplus. Speaking of which, trade in extra SP for feathers. For when your units are sitting on 9999 SP with nothing to spend them on.
  21. As someone who enjoyed both games, I'd say the main selling points are quirky characters, catchy music, engaging battle system, replay value, and a surprisingly complex story that not only breaks the fourth wall but demolishes it entirely and still has people theorizing 3 years later. But I understand that it's not for everyone. On topic, my thoughts on Deltarune (spoilers for both)
  22. I don't know if it's midriff-revealing shirt or what, but I am getting some serious JoJo vibes.
