  1. Fe4: 4 Part one is pretty cool, but part two just dive-bombs in quality. Seliph is boring and requires Lewyn to give all exposition to him, plus the maps just don’t feel as tied to the overall narrative. And I mean, if half the game sucks, that’s still half the game that sucks. FE5: 9 It’s a masterpiece. The thing keeping it from a 10 are all those people today who can’t watch the VHS or read the manual. And the fact that the game doesn’t pull punches. But once you adapt to that you begin to understand what the game wants out of you. It wants to tell you their narrative. Leif doesn’t know what’s gonna happen. One moment he’s returned to his throne, the next Dorius dies because of him. The gameplay, music, dialogue, characters, everything reflects this desperation, and it’s amazing. When I beat the game, i finally felt this euphoria, like a light out of the darkness. But not in a “oh the game is over finally” but a “wow... we finally won!” Idk, it was magical. FE6: 7 The story is basic, but it’s not offensive or infuriating. It’s dull, but still goes somewhere. The gameplay is very tight and has some of my favorite maps in the series. The difficulty feels hard enough to challenge but easy enough not to infuriate me. FE7: 6 I need to revisit this one, it’s been awhile. I remember it being really easy. The story is deceptive, but the characters are pretty great. FE8: 7 this one is fun. The characters I love and I think monsters are dope. The class system is great, and it has probably one of the best lineup of villains. I’m a little lazy and don’t feel like going in depth with this. FE9: 7 FE10: 7 FE11: 7 FE12:8 FE13: 3 FE14: 1 FE15:8 FE16:6 I’m too lazy to finish my ratings, sorry.
  2. Aight so hear me out: Jugdral, but like thousands of years in the future. So like, technological advancements are aplenty, as the continent has entered an industrial revolution, with New Thracia being it's lead influencer thanks to the minerals in the mountains. Infact, Thracia would be kinda secluded from the other countries, mainly exchanging in trade of goods. With these technological advancements you could reintroduce playable ballisticians and bowguns (These being primarily used by countries with less involvement in Thracia), With things like a gun triangle (Shotguns beat pistols, pistols beat rifles, and rifles beat shotguns) and more advanced things like bombs and crude robots and machines being used by Thracia and places like Grannvale who have connections to Thracia. Pistols would have 2 range but are very light, rifles have 3 range but are very heavy, and shotguns have 1 range but deal half damage to adjacent enemies. I've got a lot thought out on this kinda setting, as I kinda have a fire emblem game i'm building in my brain.
  3. Huh. Fun. That map was actually one of my favorites. I'm gonna step up and defend it real quick. I think the challenge in the map comes from how much you prepared for it. Clearly you didn't prepare for this chapter much in advance, which going in blind, yeah this chapter is gonna screw you over. But this map can become an absolute breeze if you do just a little planning. Just have someone like Salem use a torch staff to illuminate enough area so that you can see the throne room, then warp Lara to Pan and have them talk. The earlier you do this, the better. Then, all you had to do was put Troude to sleep or capture him before he runs away. Once Pan is a good guy, everyone else just runs away. Pan can steal Tina's thief staff until Safy comes and talks to her. Then, just have a thief like Lifis sweep through and reap the rewards. Now, going in blind, I understand that this map can suck. But honestly, this map is very unique for a fire emblem map. Most enemies are thieves who book it to the chests. There are actual enemy dancers who dance for the enemies. Fog of War. Tina is constantly trying to steal your stuff. The boss turns one of your thieves into a thief/dancer. You get a dark mage, which was the first playable one in the series. And this map has so many ways of playing it. You could cheese it. Or you could do it your way. And the rewards for the chapter are great. You get Salem, who can easily reach A rank staves and, with some investment, gain A rank dark magic and use Fenrir, a siege tome most end game enemies have. You get Tina with the thief and Unlock staves which are also amazing. Pan has 5 movement stars, a fucc of 5, and comes with the best weapon in the game, the Kingmaker, which is basically a brave sword with charm built in, at C rank. Almost everyone has the potential to use it. Troude is nothing special since you already have Mareeta and Shiva, but he's essentially a free silver sword, which is rare in this game. That isn't even considering the chests. So overall, this chapter is as hard as you make it, and comes with some insane rewards.
  4. Cord- Dark Mage Cord is still the definitive dark mage. Darros- I used him, and he was fun. Making a bad unit good is the most fun in a fire emblem game and the easiest way to get attached to someone. Jake- Ballisticians are easily my favorite playable class in any fire emblem game. Jake was so much fun to use. Plus i came up with stupid and offensive reforge names for his ballista. tied with Jake is Warren, who's got Darros syndrome of making a bad unit good.
  5. Sup. I've not actually new here, I just never post anything. And never use the site. So yeah I guess i'm new here. I'm mostly known as Abosikay, and I play a ton of videogames. When it comes to Fire Emblem, i've beaten almost all games except like FE10 and FE123. Honestly not much interesting going on for me. I have jank opinions, like how I think Genealogy sucks as a game and is redeemed by it's narrative, and only really the first gen. I also think that Byleth is terrible and that Three Houses is overrated(It's still way better than Fateswakening). But yeah, nothing else. Top three fire emblos would be Thracia, New Mystery, then Shadow Dragon. I was also a beta tester for Vestaria Saga, and a member of the Project Exile team.
  6. I believe that you should remove/change fatigue, but keep random movement stars, capturing, repairing weapons, leadership stars, pure black FoW, dismounting, basically the only difference from the original should be support convos, more before and after dialogue during the battles, a graphical overhaul, and an accurate translation.
  7. Ok... Hear me out... and I might be a little biased, but... FE5 has the best characters overall. Now, going into detail a large portion of these characters, technically, suck. Because of the severe lack of supports and just dialogue between units in general, some characters, like Kein and Alba have literally no lines of dialogue in game except for their escape quotes and their death quotes. But anyway, looking over these characters, you really get a sense of an army. I believe that not all characters should be deeply explained with intricate backstories. That's why awakening's cast is a cast I actually don't really like. Because everyone is a personality and show everything you need to know about them right off the bat, it takes away from the digging into their story, or just the feel that you're commanding a soldier. I don't know, I can probably agree that the tellius series has the best character dynamic, as their interactions feel genuine and natural. Unlike Fates. Legit, Hana's support with Saizo is just her eating Saizo's biscuits, and then saying "yo let's get married" "ok. Here, have more B I S C U I T S". I feel that if and when Thracia get's a remake, it can take the spot of best characters if they add supports, remove fatigue, and add more conversations between battles, showing character decisions and feelings. Thracia has the best potential, but I think the worst cast is either Shadow Dragon or Binding Blade.
