  1. I've never heard the term Leitmotifs used before, that's pretty cool. Time to add a new term to my dictionary
  2. I was listening to the Awakening soundtrack earlier today and when I got to Id(Sorrow) I noticed that whenever the Id track, and it's variations, play it's always when Robin is involved and the particular variation playing is reflective of the situation. For those who don't know the Id is part of Freudian Psychology and is representative of desires and hidden memories. Examples would be: Id(Serenity): this mostly plays when Robin is at peace or has attained an S-Support and represents their desire for peace and love. Id(Beginnings): This plays at the very beginning of the game, the main menu, creating your Avatar, etc. It represents the repressed memories and amnesia Robin has at the beginning of the game. Id(Purpose): This plays only during the Endgame. It reveals Robin's desire to kill Grima and the resolve they have to sacrifice themselves for peace. Fittingly, after defeating Grima the Serenity variation plays. Thoughts? I personally thought this was genius and each variation fit the situation well. On top of this it's a clever way of giving Robin a bit more depth than the main game gave him.

  4. I'd actually written off Gaius as a character in my no grind Hard run because he's a worse version of Lon'Qu (who did the same things Gaius did except he wasn't as frail and didn't have locktouch) but I might revisit that assumption after seeing how you handled his reclassing. I'll for sure come back to this and test it out
  5. Awakening was pretty solid. It was fun and I still like replaying it and messing around with different settings and challenge runs. It's also the game that got me into FE and got me playing some of the older games like PoR and Blazing Blade.
  6. I'm excited for Three Houses. There's a few changes I'm interested in. - Skills, mainly how they're tied to weapons now and not classes - Battle system; they changed how you can see enemy ranges and renamed a few stats. Also it looks like non-mage classes can use magic now? Looks like it'll be something like Final Fantasy. New classes too though the only one I can find is Aristocrat but that might not be the only one. The viewpoint now changes to the actual battlefield? It reminds me of Dynasty Warriors. - World, it looks explorable now? Like you can actually move around the locations and explore. Still not sure why they're sticking with this art style for cinematics. It just looks jarring and choppy.
  7. My biggest fear is that my story won't be interesting or the characters I create don't have any "character". I tend to go back and reread what I wrote multiple times to see if I made a character that is just too bland or if I get so descriptive that I forget to give the characters personality. Just making the story interesting is a pretty big fear too because I want people to be into the plot, but if it's too boring then no one will really want to read it.
  8. I grew up with the PS2 and NES so I went between Super Mario Bros at my grandparent's house and Crash Bandicoot or NBA Street at home. Sonic Heroes was another really fun game I had for it so I guess the PS2 is what really got me into games.
  9. I didn't get in trouble for it though! Which was surprising cause the ipads tell the teacher who is airdropping it so everyone looked at me when I did it LOL
  10. My high school had ipads for the students to use for classes. So I was sitting in Math class messing around and air dropping memes to people in my class and I went to airdrop it to this ipad that just had a bunch of numbers. I thought it was a classmates ipad. Turns out it was my math teacher's ipad and she was projecting in front of the whole class when I did. I've never seen my teacher so confused in her entire life. I also had a background on my ipad that was that super magnum dong meme and when I was turning in homework to my bio teacher my ipad locked so my bio teacher saw my background and laughed. After I graduate my brother gets the same bio teacher and she tells him about my super magnum dong background. Guess her last class got wind of it cause the entire 8th period class changed their backgrounds to that specific meme. This is what was projected in math class.
  11. Forest from Conquest/Revelations. I thought he was a girl for so long and it threw me for such a loop when I found out Forest was a guy
  12. A third game for Colosseum or Gale of Darkness would be great. Those games had an interesting mechanic in the form of snagging pokemon from other trainers and it would definitely be great to have a core pokemon game that doesn't hold your hand through everything. Lookin at you Sun and Moon smh
  13. Honestly Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee feel like Pokemon Go 2. Would rather they release something like Colosseum or Gale of Darkness(or a remake of either for the switch would be nice) as a filler game instead of this. Or just leave Pokemon alone this year and give it to 2019 and the core Pokemon title they have planned.
  14. I already played Fates before going into the older games sadly. The older games are really fun though I'm kinda mad that I missed them growing up. The only ones on the Eshop are Shadow Dragon, Sacred Stones, and Blazing Sword and I ended up picking up Blazing Sword first which I'm having a really fun time with! I tried getting the Path of Radiance ISO to work on Dolphin but it wouldn't load it for some reason :/
  15. You could say something like, "Look I know you want me to pass the class, but I can't make any promises that I will. I still got into Honors regardless so even if I don't pass it won't set me back." Kinda helps your dad with his hope and you're still honest about it.
  16. First time on just any forum in general but I've come here enough for me to want to make an account. I started with Awakening and got really into it so I picked up the older games on the Wii U Eshop and got Fates and Echoes as well. I'm not as knowledgeable as some of the other members (probably cause I've been playing for a shorter amount of time) but I've got some experience under my belt. Glad to see that I have to post a certain amount of times before starting a topic and it's not just me being very confused. Look forward to talking with people on here and possibly getting more well versed in these games :D
