Playing Normal/Casual and Chapter 15 was definitely the hardest so far. It's the only chapter that I've had to restart/use the Dragonic Time Crystal for. I haven't done any training or skirmishes and I've only done the Paralogues where you recruit Jean and Anna so my units are almost certainly underleveled. I might go do some skirmishes before I do Chapter 16 but honestly they break immersion for me which is why I haven't been doing them. I've also heard that they scale with your level so I'm not sure how good they are for grinding but I guess I'll see.

Only seen the Framme/Clanne C Support, Alear/Etie C Support, and Alear/Chloé C Support so far and of those Framme/Clanne is definitely my favorite of them just for how funny it was.

I don't have my copy yet but I'll be going Normal/Casual since I always go for the easiest difficulty and there's nothing easier than that.

If you are preordering Engage double check with your store.
Maimishou replied to ciphertul's topic in Fire Emblem: Engage
I have mine pre-ordered for delivery. I'm hoping it'll arrive Friday but the last preorder I got from Best Buy didn't show up until the following Monday due to a carrier delay. Still going to hope for the best though. -
Interesting topic. I'm too lazy to do everyone so I'll stick to those who are on the official NA site. I have high hopes for: Diamant: His design is cool as hell. He looks a bit moody in the image on the official site but the site mentions that he's strong and genuine so maybe we as the player just need to get to know him better first. Still, with a design that cool I'm looking forward to playing with him. Ivy: What can I say but she's hot? Easily my favorite female design in the game if not my favorite design so far period. And she starts out as a villain? Yes, please! Anna: Gremlin!Anna is a major cutie. Need I say more? As long as she doesn't join the group too late/isn't too hard to recruit and as long as there's an Emblem I think will synergize well with her she'll definitely be on my team. I am catuously optomistic for: Alear: I like their designs well enough and they can't be worse than Byleth. I expect them to be at minimum Birthright!Male!Corrin tier, which is fine, but hopefully they'll be better than that. Framme: She's a cutie! Not much more to say about her than that but I hear she does hand to hand combat and that's cool Will depend on how she's handled. Timerra: She's a cutie but she's described as bubbly and outgoing which can either go well or go super badly. I do like what they've shown of her in the NA trailers so far, but I need to see more. I expect to dislike: Alfred: I like his design but the stuff people have mentioned in this thread about him sounds offputting. Hopefully we're all wrong though and we've just got a bad impression.

I'm glad normal has infinite charges. I suck at these games, I'm not going to deny that. While I would prefer Phoenix Mode over a rewird feature myself, if it's going to be there I'd at least like to be able to use it as much as I need without having to worry too hard about running out of charges. I'm fine with it being limited on higher difficulties but on the easiest one? I'm in full suppor tof there being no limit.

I haven't been paying attention to reviews so that's not a factor for me but I like what I've seen. I can't judge the gameplay because everything goes over my head when people dicuss it in detail but I like the character designs for the most part. As long as the story is at least Birthright level I'm good.

Ideas for Pre-Release Teambuilding/Engaging
Maimishou replied to Coreyographed's topic in Fire Emblem: Engage
I'd like to use Ivy and Chloè but honestly knowing myself I'm just going to end up deploying Alear and then going in the order units are shown on the unit selection screen until I hit the deploy limit, possibly only swapping out character whose designs I don't like for those whose I like more. -
Honestly I don't mind the DLC making the game easier. If I could afford it, I'd definitely pick it up to use for my playthrough. I play games to have fun and I don't consider having to redo maps fun so if it makes the game easier I'm cool with that. Will probably wait for all the DLC to be out though because while I'm interested in playing with Tiki I need to know more what the DLC has to offer.

Eshop description of the DLC. Wave 2 includes additional Emblems, items, and accessories, Wave 3 includes additional Emblems, and Wave 4 includes a new story with new characters and maps. Wave 4 also includes new classes.

I don't think it's that strange. They can't expect everyone to know who all the returning characters are and this way they can give us trailers dedicated to the new cast later on rather than having to devote trailer time to the Emblems (Or more trailer time than they would otherwise.).

What kind of archetypes would you like to see in Engage?
Maimishou replied to Noa's topic in Fire Emblem: Engage
I am not immune to loli dragons or even lolis in general. Give me another Tiki, Nowi, or Sothis and I'll eat this up. Same with Elise and Listhea. On the flipside I am also not immune to fanservice/flirty characters like Camilla and Dorothea. Am I "part of the problem?" Maybe. But I know what I'm about and I'm here for it.
