  1. This should do the trick. But such thin eyes are crazy hard to make look good in such a reduced proportion. Even if I still find them too big.

  5. The nose may actually work, if spriting Pete Townshend. What coyld help too would be to add skin under thé bottom lip, unless you want him to have a smack mouth.

  7. This resize on Mist is a total succes! Nice job! Just put darker pixels in the center of her eyes. The Rolf is really good looking too, you just need to make the white of the eyes more present on the sides. And light up the bottom of the iris. right under the pupil which is darker. >
  8. (Edit: I agree with Nih, everyone's probably just going to have a different twist and different taste. ^ Teamwork > Styles I agree with most parts of Nih's comment too. We all have different styles (though I nearly never sprite this kind of big anime eyes in my own sprites) and that the a best way to improve a work is to spend a lot of time on it. But the fact is, spending a minimum amount of time on a sprite and having it look good is clearly possible, and it's even more than that : It's one of the best exercises to improve, not your current work, but your overall skills and knowledge. Since working hard on spriting something under the 2 hours will force you to develop mechanics and basics that your brain will just use for free whenever you sprite again. A good example is SqRtOfPi's Youtube channel. Every work is done under few hours. And anyone can do this honestly, it's all about training. (Me and my barely standing level included). And... Since we're having such fun with Nikt's Marathon : Again I played with it. Also edited some hair parts and palette. I didn't see your new palette in time Lenh, I find it pretty close to the original!

    Lenh's Locker

    The timelapse is a really good idea! I love it. It's a good way to look at how other spriters work and you can learn many things from it. And it helps you realize Fire Emblem proportions are not so easy to get when you draw your character by hand. Because here your second attempt is nice but the head is really slim and long. Well if you get out of the Fire Emblem proportions why not. But if in your sketch this guy's got a pretty (slender?) face, in the sprite it doesn't fit the original that well. You should try to play with the nose and eyes/eyebrows to find the good look. The reason might be that we don't see his right eye in the sprite because of his hair, which reduces the width of his face. The hair and clothes in the hair's shadow is messy too. Keep on going! I love what you do!

  15. Hi there! I've been playing with my project for the first time this week-end since like.... this summer? And I wanted to see if I could change some backgrounds in the game. More specifically the title's and the main menu/statsheet background. So I created some images and inserted them in the rom : But when I come to check the option menu in-game, that's what I get : THe game is still working and I can go down the menu with the barely readable information at the bottom of the screen. Then I try to change things in the options, when it comes to window's general colors I get this : Here we can see the top text still f***ed. The top and bottom background is the same as in the statsheet, the middle one is, another palette that I will enjoy editing later. But what do I do with the screen and text problem? the first one can be turned off by selecting a new window colour but still. That's annoying the have this every time you open the option menu. Well. If anybody has a clue about how the problem can be solved!

  19. I try to load a guy who already hurt on the map. Like he has 15/36 hp when loaded. I tried to find by searching in Aias's death vs caellach events... Unsuccessfully. How do I do this?

    Okay so I got this error occurring when launching Sappy. It's the first time t does it to me so. I don't really know how to fix that. -Runtime Error 429- ActiveX component can't create object Then pops this after clicking ok : runtime error 372 Failed to load control 'vBalCbEx' from vBalCbEx6.ocx It says the version may be outdated, so I tried to redownload it. But it didn't work. Anybody already got this?

    Hum.. even with awakening's particularities, the head is still too big imo. You could try increase the shoulders' width. That's still a funny one! xD
