Awakening is the face of Fire Emblem. It's not my favorite and I'm not sure if I like the concept of "definitive", but for sure Awakening is the game that most people think when defining the Fire Emblem games. Fates could be considered the "main" FE game as well. Particularly I love FE4, 7 and 9/10 but not sure if they can be considered games that embodied the franchise.

It would be similar to Final Fantasy, featuring photo realistic characters with colored hair in a fantastic world. I disagree with the ones who said that would look weird or wouldn't work, but IS and Fire Emblem was never known for great graphics, I don't think it's a thing the developers should care about, at least not now. They would just waste resources

Ninian is not Roy's canon mother. If so Fiora or Lyn should be in the list as well. Eleanor is the best of the list I guess... Deirdre was a good mother to Julius and Julia though, I just dislike her as a character.... Someone mentioned Edain... Agree she is the best mother of the franchise. No one toped her yet. She was in charge of an entire orphanage, including her own children and savior of the world

Other than Anna, if any character return I hope it's not Owain Severa and Inigo again. Minor Fates characters like Selkie, Shigure, etc would be better but honestly I hope they focus on new characters because the Awakening ones appearing on Nohr was really random and added nothing to the story.

I'm pretty sure Chrom x Sumia is not canon.

Virion. Their supports are surprisingly sweet . Also considering his flamboyant personality he fits Owain perfectly. I like Lissa with Donnel as well but I prefer him with Maribelle as she benefits marrying the simpletons.

I use to reclass Shigure into a kitsune and wolfskin and he always turns a really good unit. I don't see why not doing it but overall depends what you want to do with your party.

Kaze in Birthright Xander in conquest My first S support ever was Azura and Jakob in Birthright though To be fair I always married Robin and Sumia as well, and they have one of the best romantic supports in Awakening, not sure why this pairing isn't more popular, maybe because a lot of people find Sumia bland so she is shadowed by girls like Lucina, Tharja and Cordelia? As for Leo , particularly never cared for him but isn't him the most popular Fates character in Japan?

In this scenario, think it's open to interpretation. The game's mechanics just allow one marriage by person but it don't work like that it'll obviously. I Iike to think he didn't cheat on, at least it's not something I can't see Camilla doing considering her background with the concubines war and her obsession with Corrin. Silas always buged me. He seemed like a guy that approached Corrin just to get into to his/her sisters pants. I dont mean that he wasn't a good friend but the friendship never seemed that selfless as he make to be.

I'd like the summoner class to return A Necromancer that is playable would also be interesting, maybe tied to the summoner class as a promotion Butler and Bard are also cool classes. The bard could be revamped to act male magical oriented songstress
